Snowy Region Visitor Centre reviews
41Didn’t enter inside but the area around seems lovely! Carparks were very full though, a little difficult finding a parking spot for my big motorhome!
Good educational experience to learn about snowy projects. The staff were knowledgeable and friendly.
Beautiful visitor centre, lots of maps, the woman who helped us at the desk was so friendly, knowledgeable and generous with her time describing walks we could do in winter.
Fantastic centre for all things Snowy Region. Information, brochures, gifts, education, History and folk lore.
Staff are super helpful and there is a great gift shop and Cafe there for first time visitors.
Good customer service and information available. We paid the parking fee over there. No issues at all smooth service. Lots of souvenir available for collection.
Very informative museum / visitor centre on Snowy Hydro and the work to build the Hydro Scheme, the videos are worth a watch, has a cafe and toilets too, just before you enter Cooma
Visited here and couple of times for coffee and a snack as well as experiencing the talk on the snowyhydro scheme. Well presented.
Tourists are advised to visit.
A good place to find places to visit in the surrounding area.the static displays were a good read. Recommend a visit if you are in the area.
Large and comphensive visitor centre. Has more than just your usual brochures on accomodation and things to see but has the history of the area, a video room with a 15-minute video of the history of the region and some exhibitions. Very interesting and educational.
Informative and efficient staff. Well stocked with some nice souvenirs …I bought Jindabyne t-shirt. If you have time, there is cinema on offer, exhibition of local fauna and flora and maps of the area.
You will be hard pressed to gain better advice about Kosciusko National Park than from the visitor centre.
Pretty cool joint & the coffee was half decent aswell though the chick making my coffee could of called my name out to say it was ready so I didn't have to stand there looking like a hungover bum on standthorpe corner
Good location. Parking was a problem. Staff were very polite and professional and answered all my questions. The shop had a quality feel about it with an excellent supply of souvenirs.
Stopped here for breakfast before heading up to Thredbo. Actual visitor centre looks great.
We been their to discuss about our park ticket For Perisher valley. The road was closed for the day and ticket valid for 24 hours.
Local traffic police advise we can visit that centre for refund.
The Guy at counter was so rude and disrespectful while I was try to explain the whole Matter to him.
He wants me to take the ticket back and leave the premises so rude way as he own that premises and ask me to contact RMS and traffic police who close the road.
I was ask his name he is fail to provide his name and his colleague try to cover him up. Just want to say we all tax payers and we deserve minimum respect and service from you guys. So disappointed with his attitude.
Impressive displays of the Snowy scheme. Really good models and very well set out. Most informative. Staff are enthusiastic and helpful.
The souvenirs shop has a great range of quality gifts, and the building itself is beautiful inside and out.
I was pleasantly surprised to learn the centre remains open during (most) public holidays.
Good food and coffee and range of information about the region.
Staff very helpful if planning any activities in the national park.
