I have been waiting for 7 months for my system. Not even sure that they are who they say they are?
Get the runaround from the logistics girl every time I call them. False promises every time. They have until tomorrow 16th April 2021 to confirm my installation date or I'm heading to fair trading to report these guys for false advertising and bad customer service.

After sales/ warranty care is absolutely rubbish. It took more than a month for them to send in application to Ausgrid after install, system shutting down on sunny days and took dozen of calls to get them to send someone to rectify issue. During this time didn’t bother to call and keep me informed kept on hold when I asked for a manager.
If you go with these guys, pray your system will not have any issues. They are only interested until you pay the money.

If you don't read the quote and contract carefully, you ll have a big trouble after sale!
- they promise many things but once they take the deposited then you ll start chasing them up and if you had trouble in after sale service, you ll have to ring them everyday so they might able to help. (I chase them almost 2 years to come fix the leakage damage in my house).

Also, after talking to their installers, they pay them so little that they have to use cheap material and ending you having all trouble!

Enphase system 38 solar panels, 7 faces, very difficult install.however at first commencement date did not proceed, Skylight called and apologised. Im a tradesman and understand at times schedules and parts required go wrong, and yes confirmation dates cannot always go to plan also.
My install was difficult, understandably however all went smoothly. Sam the installer was always courteous and returned to finalise the enphase system monitoring app.however all up i must say a job well done and thank you skylight energy.

Change of Company Name?

This company was previously Skylight Energy Solar, same address, but it's obvious that the bad reviews forced a name change.

I apologize for the lengthy review, but it IS worth reading if you want to save yourself money and inconvenience.

I'm unable to post the entire review due to file size, but I'll look at ways to do that. Suffice to say, the rest is as bad as that which I've posted, just appalling.

I was moving house late November so started looking at solar installations about six weeks before that time.

I'd spoken with many companies, alt representing themselves as the honest brokers, and everybody else was a scammer.

Skylight sent a diagram of the roof, showing 22 panels, a 6.6 kw system.
I settled on Skylight Energy Solar, reviews not too bad, and nothing to alarm me. I had looked at only one forum though, a huge mistake.
I paid the deposit just before Christmas, and was told they'd be In touch early January, so imagine my surprise when I tried to contact them early January, and ALL 'phones, landlines and mobiles, were ringing out or not answering, no messages, just nothing.

Alarmed, I put up a review which said no more than I thought they may have gone out of business, and if not, the service was appalling. I had a call within hours, asking me if I would take the review down, they'd been on Christmas break, and I would now receive great service, so I agreed, a mistake.

I then received an email with attached account for the balance of the payment, about $4000, in breach of the terms of THEIR contract, which stated that full payment was required on the day of installation. I refused, and pointed out the clause In THEIR contract.

Nothing happened for a couple of weeks, so I pursued them, again, and was 'promised that my installatlon would be 'next week' more than once. Of course that didn't happen.

In late January, I received a call, and was told my components were ALL in store, and installation was imminent. Almost a month went by, and nothing happened.

I then received a message that the panel manufacturer had stopped production, and the panels were being substituted, supposedly by more efficient. "More efficient, apparently is "up to 19%" in lieu of the originals a nominated 18.75%! I made the point that 'up to 19%’ is not more efficient than 18.75%, but was talked over. I told them I wanted the originals, and unless I got them, I would be cancelling the contract. A few days later, I received a call, and the panel manufacturer was now back in production. I couldn't believe the stupidity there would be a lead time of months in stopping and restarting production, so this was a try on with cheaper panels.

The date was finally set, and the Installer arrived, and said before he unloaded, he'd measure the roof to see how many panels could ACTUALLY fit. I said it would be 22, and I had the diagram to indicate that was so. After half an hour measuring, he told me the absolute maximum would be 17, not one more would fit. No problem though, Skylight would buy back the 5 panels at $100 each. I bet they would when they were worth $250-$300 each. My response was that I would keep the 5 panels and sell them on ebay, IF I went ahead with the installation.

I called Skylight, and it was confirmed that they would buy the panels for $100 each, not a cent more, and no choice for me to keep them, so I then believed that I was about to be cleaned out and cancelled. The installer was a great guy, a contractor, and not to blame In any way.

I emailed Skylight' told them I was cancelling, and that I required a return of my $500 deposit urgently, and it was agreed in a text, so I sent bank details. Several days later, no money, so I called them and was sent a contract with highlighted paragraph saying that it would not be for 15 working days! That did not cover cancellation, incidentally, but the cooling off period. What sort of company wants 15 WORKING days to return a client's money?

Excellent work very happy with the service, already had 2nd bill that was considerably lower then the first one. Running spa and aircon 10kw systems covers most usage. Highly recommended for any one considering installing panels.

A company that you can recommend to your enemies. Very dodgy, unprofessional, rude and have no idea about what they are selling. Misleading information about their panels and inverters to over charge you. When installation happens you realise you bought and paid more than what you can legally have installed. Refund amount is ridiculous even though it's their fault for misleading you on what they are selling. Missing parts. It takes months and months to get to the bottom of it and that's if you are lucky enough to get that part ever.
I have been chasing this company for a missing dongle for the past weeks and just lies and lies given to me.
Carlos I did not expect this service from you at all. Jessica you have not been helpful in anyway.

Fantastic company who I would recommend to anyone looking for solar. Carlos in the sales team was very helpful and great to talk to. The admin Jessica was also very helpful, she kept me updated throughout the installation process and when there was an issue with my inverter she got the electrician straight back out to rectify. The installers were polite and friendly, all in all great service from everyone involved.

Disgusting, racist and unprofessional!
Avoid at all costs! Got abused by Steven the “operations manager” via text msg. He said “good luck dealing with Indians”. Please avoid this company if they are this horrid towards potential customers imagine dealing with them after you give them your money.
Emailed the company with screenshots of conversation with Steven - no response. This company doesn’t care. Avoid them and go to a respected and professional solar company.

Please don’t deal with this company. Unprofessional and horrid behaviour. You will regret if you do. There are much better and respected Aussie companies you should support and give your money to. Don’t expect after sale support.

Great in sales, but as soon as you have the system on your roof, they do not care about you anymore because they already have your money. My installation is faulty and they are not in a hurry at all to fix it for me. In the meantime I am loosing $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$

Everyone we dealt with at Skylight Energy was polite and helpful and also did an excellent job. They were eager to help and enthusiastic about their work. It was easy to work with them from start to finish. They were prompt too and finished the job within the promised timeframe. We cannot say enough good about Skylight Energy.

Worst company ever there manager is disgusting talks and swears at me after his employee has made a deal with us calling constantly asking us for a deposit and right after we made the deposit the manager calls us and says he didn’t approve the quote. Calls and starting being absolutely disgusting swearing at me and saying good for me knowing the consumer law. Starts swearing at me. No one should ever go with them absolutely fraud of a company. Definitely gonna take this further
