Sanctuary in The Pocket

This is a beautiful place where you feel relaxed, secluded and comfortable. We stayed in Bliss Cottage and it is essentially that - with a spa, fireplace, bath and excellent setup what more could you want.

We had a perfect respite weekend. Two night stay gave us plenty of time to enjoy the pool, spa and the gorgeous stone bath. Perfect for a romantic getaway or for total relaxation. We will definitely go back.

Thank you so much Jonathan and Susie for an amazing stay. We loved the accommodation, great privacy and the pool and surrounding gardens were beautiful, we didn't wont to leave. This is such a hidden gem, we will most definitely be back!

Beautiful little slice of paradise hidden away in a quiet area, away from the hectic crowds of Byron Bay. Everything you could need was in Bliss Cottage, very clean and comfortable, the gardens are beautiful and the pool was a hit with our 2 boys. We loved sitting out on the patio on the large day lounger and on the seat swing down by the jacuzzi during the evening with a glass of wine. Highly recommended

We enjoyed a 3 day stay here. I drag my family everywhere and my Husband and kids told me how much they really enjoyed this trip. Rare.

The owners were so welcoming, the space was just filled with love and I was so enthralled hearing how it all came about, especially the beautiful kitchen bench. The attention to detail from landscaping to building was incredible.

We relaxed and enjoyed the beautiful property from spa, to free standing bath to the indoor/outdoor kitchen.

One of the most relaxing experiences we have had as a family. With two young children it is hard to keep them occupied but they loved everything about the break. Susie and Johnny were amazing hosts and we highly recommend for a family get-a-way. Just 15mins from Byron but we learnt what was available in the surrounding towns.

We were out for most of the time. We booked the bunk house as the larger unit was booked out and as long as you planning the day out, it’s great for that. Neat and clean place to rest and shower after the day out. The owners were very accommodating and extremely pleasant. If you love the bush, you will love it here. Great hike up the mountain. Secluded and private.

Susie and Jonathan made us and our son feel very welcome on the property. It was lovely being able to stroll through their tropical gardens and play with their three well-natured dogs. Our 5 nights in the Bliss Cottage were incredibly relaxing and peaceful. We had complete privacy and so much space to ourselves. It was exactly what we needed. We would definitely visit again and recommend to others.

It was a pleasure to be the last days in the end of our Australia Trip at Sanctuary in the Pocket! A wonderful place on earth, such a lovely and warm atmosphere. I immediately felt well! In the Apartments is everything you need, it's s clean and cosy, not far away from Brunswick Heads or Byron Bay or crystal castle or what ever.

We had such a relaxing holiday here. Absolutely beautiful homely cottages. Beds were so comfy. Our hosts Suz and John were just amazing. We felt at home with them straight away. They made us so welcome. And the cute fur babies just made it.

Recommend a stay in this wonderful nook of Hinterland NSW, Suz and Jonathan are such wonderful hosts.they did everything to make sure we were comfortable and helped with suggestions of places to see and go. The Bunk House was clean and comfortable and the 5 acre property is beautiful, we watched the bats coming into roost, saw some of the
native birds and listened to the frogs singing each night, you really can't go wrong here.
