Rydges World Square Hotel

This is a belated review. My family and I stayed here a while back and had great experience. The room is clean and service is good. We enjoyed our time here. Situated in World Square, it is a great location and convenience with plenty of things around or a short walk. Grocery, food, shopping all within a very short distance.

Location is ok but you will be in the middle of massage parlours, foyer is nice, rooms are ok, bed is comfortable, to expensive for what it is

For a hotel bar, this is very good. For a bar, this is very average.
Paddo pale on tap with a good happy hour keeps me coming back.

Customer service is great at this hotel. Small things let it down. The pillows smelt like they weren't dried properly after they were cleaned. TV remote and TV is sub par compared to most hotels of similar cost. Had to physically leave the bed and hold remote under the TV to operate.

Some elements of our stay were 4star+, however we encountered a good number of things that one should not expect from a 4star motel. Things that a motel charging half the amount would eliminate as part of procedure!

Generally a big fan of Rydges Hotels, however this visit was a bit lacking. Firstly, my floor smelt strongly like vomit, I turned the A/C to compensate but it was not pleasant leaving the room and lasted the entire overnight stay. The room was modern and fairly spacious however the toilet was not clean, dare I say, but it very much looked like poo was on the toilet seat. I'm not someone to call up and make a fuss and then have to switch rooms or watch awkwardly as someone wipes it down (I was alsp hoping I was wrong), I just cleaned the toilet myself. The other dissapointing aspect was that the pillows smelt musty and like they hadn't been cleaned/or the cases changed in a while. There were no spare pillows in the cupboard like there usually are to simply switch out.

The location was fantastic, above world square not only is shopping at your doorstep so is a bar, restaurant (and another hundred surrounding). The access to bathrooms on the entrance level was also very useful.

I had a great stay at the Rydges hotel. Sad that it was only for one night. I was "upgraded" to a "king executive" suite. Staff were very friendly and the room was great.

Ive given 4 stars but would rate experience at 3.5. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Location amazing. Room and lack of view were disappointing considering the price paid. Note: water bottles on bedside table are not complementary.a little deceptive considering other hotels around the world offer these free in executive rooms. Would I go back.yes.

Rydges always treat us so well! The staff are so kind and accommodating, the location is great and the rooms are always neat, tidy and comfortable. Since becoming a member with them they give a free drink at the bar downstairs each time you stay, they've upgraded our room multiple times and have given complimentary wine. Will always pick Rydges World Square. So much love for them. The price for their rooms is super nice and affordable for what you get.

Had very good experience 3 years ago so booked a room with two beds this time, however I am not going to be back again. Reception Staff was not nice said they didn’t have my booking, had to confirm name 3 times and finally found it? That’s not a problem until I saw my room was one single bed I clearly said I need two beds when I made the booking, they just disregarded all my comments without any notice, forget about this small old hotel, but the location is unbeatable close to everything.

Stay here regularly for work and weekend visits (if there is a good price). Really nice newish rooms but the views can be a bit boxed in, given the great location. Centralised air conditioning can make it feel a bit stuffy when you first arrive. Always professional staff - quite a busy place but have never had to wait to long for check in or check out. Heaps of food options downstairs from cheapie to expensive.

Just want to share that location is great. Couple minutes walk from Town Hall or Museum station. The surround area has a lot of food option and for shopping Westfield isn't that far off too.

My home away from home - rooms acceptable depending on allocation, however pillows awesome. Reception staff generally always friendly and try there best to assist with your out-of-box requests. Cidery bar is great place to relax at the end of day with happy hour from 5-7pm - staff here are always great

If you want to be in the heart of some of the best Asian food, amazing shopping a walk away - high end and budget and a shopping centre and food outlets galore under your feet - doesn't get any better than this. The beautiful war memorial is a 2 minute walk away and so also is vegan Dim Sum. Everyone delivers by Uber so even food you can't get to quickly is easy.

Food and service was fantastic. One request: Please calm the air conditioner down! It felt like we were having a conference inside a freezer.

Large clean rooms with helpful staff. Very well located with many dining options in and immediately outside the hotel. Parking is expensive, but that's to be expected in Sydney.

Service is great, room is large, huge bed, luggage storage available. Fantastic location in the centre of the city, also has a 'business centre' with a few computers and printers available to guests which is handy.

Good central place to stay, they have good deals. Good buffet breakfast. But honestly the sheets are that stiff and harsh, tossing and turning a lot at night will leave you with sore elbows.

Very well kept foyeur area, multiple concierge both up and down stairs. Some receptionists speak Chinese too. Nice bar in the lobby area too
