Ryde-Eastwood Leagues Club

Made a 12 o'clock booking for Yum Cha, waited until 1230 till we left, nil apologies from staff. A total waste of time, don't go

Usually love coming down to Ryde Parramatta Leagues Club for a feed with the family. However, tonight there was a trivia night on during dinner time. It was very loud and distracting. Could barely hold a conversation over the noise. Very disappointing experience.

Lovely club. Well equipment fitness centre and overall facilities and entertainment. Chinese restaurant could do better, poor service from rude non English speaking staff who don't make any effort to make your stay a memorable one.

I'm reviewing the Chinese restaurant only. Not recommended as the customer service was terrible, they treated you as a dog. Due to the Vivid, they only allow you 60 minutes to seat in there without considering how slow the waiting time for the food. Staff were not polite even you request to fill out a empty bottle. DON'T GO THERE!

I attended the venue last week for yum cha with my children. The yum cha is excellent as always. I decided to grab a coffee and a treat for my children prior to leaving the venue. On our way out (the area located near the memorabilia/ hallway/ free seating area) we stopped to take a photo of the kids together. I was approached by a staff member who very loudly began to berate me shouting that I was not allowed to take a photo of the children in the area as they were not over 18 year of age. There was absolutely no signage, we were in a walkway, there was no one seated in this space, no poker machines - nothing to inform me that I was breaking any rules. To add insult to injury another staff member approached me and they together started to loudly point out all the spaces I could take a photo and mocked the idea. They lack customer service skills and honestly I felt they don't want children in their venue at all which is upsetting as the facilities inside are of quality. I actually phoned and spoke to someone who said they would investigate and let me know the outcome - a week later I have not heard back.
I also discovered as I was helping a mother with a pram find a change table to change her babies nappy that the venue does not have one - but they do have a nappy bin.

I will add that since the incident and my review = I was contact by Nicole who did view the camera footage and spoke to members of staff. Their was a misunderstanding about following up with me and I do appreciate that she did email me. Nicole did apologise on their behalf and explained that the staff member did feel remorse for her actions and it was not necessary for the other employee to enter the discussion. Nicole explained the staff member did extend an apology to me.

It's a club, a nice club with many facilities. I'm not from the area, I go there for events & special occasions.
It's always a pleasant place to visit.

Food at Bistro and coffeeshop is terrible, asked for a Pat Thai which was on the menu, got some sweet, strange looking noodles like. Looks like the restaurant puts items on their menu without knowing how to cook nor having the ingredient.
A young Asian looking person goes around tried to fix the issue, got me a different type of noodles, was worse than the first one, simple notion, if you can't cook the item on the menu don't list it otherwise you are scamming decent clientele.

Well like other nights I have been to ryde Eastwood club, same problem, the music volume is to high, and the club is playing same music more than 6 months, I been complaining this long time, to nichole, and Vicky, many people not happy Abaut the music but yet club does not care abaut their customers.

Staff were very rude. No public distance from the staff, i had to ask multi times for staff to step back just to sign in

Had a great meal. Lovely coffee afterwards. You get a little hassled upon entry. Which door to use which side of the isle to come and go. Its as though is coming to an end.

Nice restaurant n service up to require. The food is yummy n the price is reasonable. I think I will visit again in the future.

Great place to meet up with friends. Had a great dinner at the bistro, the food was excellent and the servings very generous.
All care taken for social distancing. Staff all very friendly and helpful.

Great food and drinks. Great to relax and watch footy and staff are friendly.and if you want a boogie on Saturday night.that's there as well. Men at the door for sign so welcoming.

What a great place to chill out after a hard hot weekend with some interstate visitors. Beer was cold and the 4 person booths with own TV. Then went for food with the lads great value and choice.

WENT WITH HUBBY AND TWO GOOD FRIENDS. WENT TO THE DINING ROOM (WHICH WAS VERY VERY FULL OF PEOPLE) AND WHAT THEY WERE EATING LOOKED GREAT. SO I ASKED A YOUNG LADY WHAT SHE HAD ORDERED AND SHE TOLD ME AND I ORDERED THE SAME THING.
EVERYONE WAS VERY SATISFIED WITH THEIR MEAL - WE ALL FOUR OF US ORDERED SOMETHING DIFFERENT AND ALL WERE VERY GOOD MEALS. SERVICE WAS VERY FRIENDLY. AND MAN, WAS IT CROWDED.
MUST SAY SOMETHING ABOUT THE FOOD. WHAT DO YOU RECKON?

Great venue, they host my cousins Christmas Dance concert in December every year. Coffee club is great and so is Bistro!

We ate at the restaurant last night
The prices were reasonable but the food for all of us was very average.
It was the service. The lady showing people to their tables was quite pleasant, but the staff taking the money were surly.
It was the guy organising the meals when customers went to pick them up who put us off.
He didn't seem to care at all.
He seemed quite rude and abrupt.
If he doesn't want to be there, I don't think we do either.

Excellent club to visit. Good parking and opposite railway station. Great for lunch and tea. Really pleasant staff.

Great venue for families to get a feed in the bistro. Reasonably priced. Gambling computers flood half the building though, but are unseen and inobtrusive to those attending the restaurant. The matron hostess Bess is God-sent, she will go out of her way to attend your queries in any regards.

Bistro is so so. The kids menu sausage meal had the most disgusting excuse for a sausage but the chips were nice.
