Rhodes Waterside reviews
63 To the Australian people, Rhodes shopping centre administration and Australian authorities;
When i was visiting the shopping centre there was an announcement in Chinese language. I am an immigrant from Iran and I believe it is extremely outrageous to formalise another language in Australia. I plea to wake up and put more effort to make Australian residents more competent in English language.
I like this area, new buildings, clean and I can always get parking. I like this part of Rhodes, the other side of the train track, not so much. One thing that made me change my rating down to 2 stars was during a recent visit to the Waterside Shopping Centre where I heard a message (piped in on the centre’s built-in audio broadcasting system) in Mandarin. There’s absolutely nothing wrong with broadcasting messages in other languages especially if the residents of the area speak that language, Sydney being multi-cultural an all, BUT my issue was there was no English translation after that message in Mandarin. Some people would call that “invasion” or “discrimination”, I wouldn’t go that far, so I’ll call it a bit “rude” to non-Mandarin speakers that work and/or shop in that centre. I mean I’m stating the obvious but we are in Sydney, Australia where the language is Australian English. I’m sure that message wasn’t an emergency announcement, probably more like someone selling something but I wouldn’t know because I don’t understand Mandarin.
What can I say this shopping centre has mostly every thing and the fact that ikea is there make it even more relevant love it
A little too big. A good 5-10 minute walk from one end to the other. Escalators not well placed which ends up causing more foot traffic in certain spots. Lifts are slow and small, nightmare when you're shopping at the IKEA
Great place to shop. Nice variety of goods and services available.
Finding a lot of other customers leaving their trolleys recklessly in between cars within the car park. Might be worthwhile introducing a coin system to encourage people to bring the carts back to avoid accidents and injuries.
Love the waterside track
Close to Ikea and Costco as well
Beautiful Waterview and plenty of good restaurants and cafes
Good massage in front of Kmart
I have been to different massage shops but this is by far the best. With their skills, massage is not only a way to release the tension of my body but also to treat the illness My back pain conditions get better thank to Rhodes Massage Centre! Reasonable prices. Clean environment. Will keep returning to the shop:)
The shopping centre is full of shops, food court and Ikea. Although the security guards at the place are really rude.
We love to walk here and look at the architecture. All the newbuilding developments in settings are very interesting to look at. The bridge across Homebush Bay is awesome to do and a variety of architecture is absolutely terrific.
Great shopping centre, I go there all the time. Good, trendy new shops along with the necessities such as supermarkets. The food court is great but could use some new additions. Very modern architecture, could be made more interesting with a couple of extensions. Highly recommend!
Spacious organized parking! Shops were really close from where I parked. Don't really need to walk long way to shops. Very convenient!
Having just visited Rhodes Shopping Centre, and considering that wearing masks is compulsory, I lost count of the number of people who weren't doing it. There were no security guards to be seen, nobody to enforce it. This left me feeling quite vulnerable and doubting I'll visit the Centre again until it's safer to do so. Unfortunately, there are too many people who don't care for their own safety or the safety of others.
Nice shopping centre in the area to get the basics for shopping and hang out at cafes. IKEA is in the centre so that's a bonus
I only go there when I need to buy stuff from IKEA. Also, the car park is legit confusing, like a maze!
Beautiful and clean shopping center. Fellow shoppers seem educated and well mannered. Huge parking, friendly environment and definitely become my go to shopping center.
My wife forget her handbag in the car park and the security staff collected it and kept it safe for us to pick up. Thank you especially to Ibrahim from the security team who found the bag and organised for pick up. Give him a promotion ASAP. God bless him.
Decent sized shopping centre with all the basic necessities plus an IKEA. Parking can be very difficult on the weekends but overall, the centre is quite nice and located in a scenic area if you're keen for a walk outside
Nice smaller sized shopping centre still containing all the big retailers including Ikea. Good assortment of shops and coffee options on the ground floor.
Most of the time there's quite a variety of parking there, were clean and over all great shops, which are great for Christmas shopping.
It's a shopping centre. Not more than a place to access different shops. It's clean, well managed, very accessible, visible security, lots of parking. Phoenix restaurant you must to try.
