Rapid Building Inspections Sydney

They did our prepurchase pest and building inspection for a property.

1. Accidentally broke a window in the property and didnt mention anything - thankfully previous owner replaced free for us.

2. Said no signs of termites but we found termites have chewed on foundations of our house. We found this by crawling under the house through the door in the garage that is unlocked.

3. Didn't identify major issues with the property but when we checked underneath the house, which there is an easy access door to, you can clearly see foundations are flooded which is a major issue.

Would like a refund but am not sure how to proceed. Can imagine their clauses will protect themselves from this.

Probably cost us 50,000 in negotiation power over the property value and may have not bought property if not for their negligence. Too important a job to put in the hands of this company. Would not recommend

Andrew was courteous, punctual and professional, providing a detailed report and photos within an hour of completing the inspection. He even called to explain findings in detail. I highly recommend this service, which exceeded my expectations.

Rapid Building Inspections provided prompt and accurate building inspections, with our constant dates changes they were always willing to change and adapt. They found defects on my new house I would have never thought of. The office team also provided friendly and prompt after service help also, when others will not. Friendly, helpful solid advice. Would use them again.

Prompt and thorough building inspection. If I had need of further inspections I'd be using these folks again.

Allen did a thorough and comprehensive inspection for a home we wanted to purchase. He sent us a extensive 30-page report with images and explanations of the issues with the property. He also took time from his weekend to chat to us and run through the issues outlined in the report and what we would need to fix each issue. Superior and efficient customer service and professionalism!

The report is done professionally and timely, although there are some miscommunication before that about scheduling (see below original post).

They are so irresponsive, never call me back, I have to keep calling them to get updates. I'm so angry that they can't even do the basic scheduling. (And their line is always busy that I have to keep calling and waiting 3 minutes a call in average).
I booked pre-purchase inspection with them and said I will be there when the inspection happened. They said they will let me know the inspection date and time, but they never did.
I called several times, finally connected, they said it's 9 am next day.
I went there 9 am the second day, the inspection is not happening. I got no explaining. I called them and asked why, no explain. They said will call back and explain, and never happened.
I'll see how the inspection report goes and will update the review, but I won't use them again. Also won't recommend to anyone.

Extremely happy with the pre-purchase inspection report done by Hendrik from Rapid Building Inspections. Called on Friday, inspection on Saturday, incredibly thorough report received on Monday morning. Would definitely recommend anyone in need of an inspection to use Rapid!

5-star service. If you want peace of mind, this is who you need to hire. These guys saved me from making one of the biggest mistakes ever! I was thoroughly impressed with the quick turnaround and the quality of the report which clearly outlined all the risks and how serious they were. Paul was so helpful, he even took the time to explain some of the more technical aspects after sending the report and i really appreciated that. Dean was super friendly and took the initiative to sort out all the details for booking the inspection with the vendor's real estate agent! Highly recommended.

Very courteous and professional staff. Attended to my request for a building inspection within a day and sent me the report before 24hrs. The report was very detailed and showed some major flaws in the building that helped me make an informed decision.

This company was great at communication, I felt well informed when the inspection was taking place and received the report very quickly after. It also covered all the items of concern and included pictures. Would definitely highly recommend.

The service from Rapid was really good. No hassle at all. Inspector attended was really good and professional. He identified number of things we didn't see during our inspections and provided necessary recommendations. Highly recommend.

"Rapid" Building Inspections were booked in for Friday 22nd of March, and didn't send me the report until I followed them up on Tuesday 26th of March. There was mention of damp/moisture but not where it actually was. I spoke with the call center who directed me back to the inspector. I left him an email and called him, no answer or call back. Unsatisfactory. My wife called the inspector on Wednesday 27th of March and was told there was high moisture in the hallway, before getting impatient and hanging up on her. That's just rude. We inspected the property further and didn't detect concerning levels of moisture. I believe Rapid's Inspectors are actually contractors so are working for various inspection companies so are extremely busy with no time to discuss issues with clients. I won't be using Rapid's services in the future.
