We looking to purchase our first home. We saw a house on
*Saturday- price “guide”, was $1.5.
*Sunday we requested a contract
*Monday got it to our solicitor and made an offer of $1.7, a price that would “get” us the home
*Tuesday my Godmother died, it was my birthday and we found out the owners inspections did not cover the hillside parking structure. We got the inspection back out - they is an issue with it. We asked for one day to get a further inspection to understand the extent of the issue. We were told no. We both work full time in essential services and getting all this done while work is challenging.
* Weds we to decided take the risk to move forward and made a transfer for the deposit.
*Thursday morning we signed the contract and return it. Then we got a call tell us we lost the house to a offer $20,000 more.
We acted in good faith and integrity.
We were pressure to move fast - now we can’t get them to move to return our deposit.
Everything is not about the money!
This is not away to treat people.
