Pro Hart

I grew up seeing the carpet advert, but despite an interest in art had never really researched Pro Hart's catalogue. Just passing through Broken Hill, I decided to pop in and I am SO glad I did! What a diversity of different genres, he truly is a master. The beauty in his art was quite emotional. Even if you are unfamiliar with his art I highly recommend checking it out, a bit of Australiana.

Interesting but the video was way to long would have been better if it was half the length. Great to see some of his art works

An Aussie icon, Pro Harts story lives on through his art and his home! A lot of history here, and some of his best works. Well run by caring staff a must see!

Pro Hart was great Australian artist who painted the world around him.
His legacy lives on in Broken Hill.

Love the gallery! I recommend you watch the video but it is 45 mins so allow enough time. The upstairs galleries get a little hot, best to visit early so you can spend plenty of time taking in this iconic art.
There's prints on sale and other merchandise so you can take a memory home. Don't forget to stop in at the garden across the road to see some of Pro's sculpture work.

Very much an eye opened for me. Loved his work, and admire the man. Definitely a must do in Broken Hill.

An exceptional and at times controversial artist with a powerful message - worth every cent to see the history of mining in Broken Hill pre 1940s

Interesting to see the Rolls Royce’s, the workspace also the Stan Ostoja Kotkowski piece. Loved the pieces on the front wall. Sculptures across the road could do with a bit more love in regard to the setting.

Pro Hart is an Aussie legend. His work captured a time and place with a bit of larrikin. His gallery is an essential stop to any visit to Broken Hill. I'd have loved to have seen his paint cannon set up in action.

Dragged the kids along protesting all the way.turned out to be a highlight of Broken Hill. Loved it.

Been wanting to get to see this place fo 60 years? Was worth the wait, love most of his work. Met people that do not like his work.
