Prince Alfred Park Public Pool reviews
30 Peaceful, quiet, no tourists, very nice place
It's a hidden place in Sydney
You must take a towel with you.
Great swim at a hidden gem in the city close to central. Good clean warm pool with coffee and snacks also available.
I frequently visit the Prince Alfred Park Public Pool and am always pleasantly surprised by its amenities and convenience. It's a great spot to cool off during the hot days as it's located near Central Station. It's outdoors, so you can soak up the sun in this inner city oasis. It's become a popular location for families with kids, and people looking for a good workout with basketball and tennis courts available. No need to worry about sand and surf here, just good old-fashioned fun! And when the weather's nice, you'll likely find hordes of people flocking here. All-in-all a great spot to spend a few hours cooling off, playing or simply soaking up the sun. Highly recommend!
Nicely located pool with a short walk from central station. The staff are nice. It does become crowded some time.
Nice facilities. Clean pool. Very nice and helpful staff. Clean toilets and showers. They have swimming lanes and free lane.
Spent a wonderful couple of hours here. A lovely swimming ️ pool with clean changing rooms and facilities.
Great inner city spot to bake in the sun and go for a swim. Always bringing a picnic here on the weekend.
Excellent Sports & Recreational Park, in the heart of Sydney. Great short cut to Sydney University & Redfern area.
Image taken in June, being mid winter in Sydney, was about 17 degrees from memory.
Stunning weather, Sydney at it's best. Mind you Sydney weather is the best in the world as far as Ill concerned. PAP a wonderful facility.
A tranquil outdoor pool at the heart of the city. 2 min walk from the Central Station. This Olympic size pool is heated and running all year round. I always enjoy the cleanliness of the pool and surrounding amenities. Sunsets are stunning
Large Park: playground, tennis courts for hire, basketball courts and swimming pool. With a Sydney a city access card or concession cards for pool and tennis courts you can get discounted rates. Can get these at town hall house in Druitt Street. (For people on lower incomes)
Great for families, pet friendly there is a pool, basketball courts, tennis courts and is really close to central station
There are lots of large groups (10+) that like to swim here after 6pm weeknights, I would call them squads, but they do not book a lane, with them packing them medium and fast lanes and the groups that actually book lanes, theres not a lot of room to swim.
Prices may be a bit expensive and lanes may be full, but that doesn't take away from the great pool and stands with large umbrellas. The changing rooms are very clean as well. The pool gets deeper on one side so on the shallow side you can walk if you are a non-confident swimmer.
Loved it. Loved Freesia the girl who dragged me there. Good place for a quicky in the deep end. Just make sure all the parts are away before you get out of the water. Fun times.
This facility is not safe for women.
I loved coming to this pool until I was assaulted here and the man was not removed or even reprimanded for his behaviour. A complete stranger grabbed me (while 8 months pregnant) by the arm and leg and pulled me underwater in the deep end. He was not asked to get out of the pool, he was permitted to take his time & finish his swim. If I wanted to be able to swim safely, I had to wait until he was done.
The staff filled out an incident report and said they would "monitor him to see if he did it again to other women" (!) I am still shocked that they are not willing to do anything to prevent this from happening again. Please be careful if you swim there alone, or you have children with you.
Plenty of shade, lovely facilities but alot of prickles in the grass so be carefully, wear thongs.
Nice pool, don't expect to have people respecting recommended speed or lifeguards to enforce it
Unreal swim! Beautiful water temperature, so had a great swim. Will be going back. Great shower facilities, hair dryer available. Loved it.
Signed up for classes here, tutor was amazing, but unfortunately reception team seemed unable to process requests. When signing up, I asked for my account to be cancelled on the 22nd of December, because I was flying out of the country. On my last class before my flight, I checked to make sure it was cancelled and told yes by the receptionist. Checked my bank account from overseas and they’re still taking payments. Turns out you have to cancel by email, why they failed to tell me this on the 2 times I tried to cancel is beyond me. I also cancelled face to face on a previous session over a year ago, and had no issues doing so at reception. Have no intent of refunding money despite the fact I have now been paying for an adult class I have not been attending as I do not live in Australia. This means they also re-enrolled me into a new term without my consent, as I had finished my classes for the previous term and did not wish to re-enrol in the new year term. So not only have they not cancelled my membership despite requesting 2 times! They have also re-enrolled me into new classes I also didn’t sign up for.
Really unhappy with the service, they charged me twice for classes I couldn’t attend when I had covid symptoms, and now they are charging me for a contract I cancelled 2 TIMES. Reporting to fair trading and the NSW health for inappropriate policies.
Amazing pool. Outdoor swimming for the win. Great facilities with lockers and recently built and well-maintained change rooms. Great splash pad for kids too.
