Pokolbin Village Accommodation reviews
71Stayed 3 days and got a free upgrade. This is so central to many Hunter valley wineries and attractions
Lovely setting, snuggle white towels but price a bit exorbitant as villa was a bit smelly/old/musty
Was here for 4 nights over New Years Fantastic accommodation and facilities great pool and tennis will definitely look to stay again great location too
Great food and speciality stores, chocolate factory, cheese and icecream shops and a gift store.
The fine chocolate assortment was sooo tempting. Jams and tea variety was comprehensive. Staff pleasant and welcoming Everywhere was busy which is a good sign that people are getting out and about despite Covid. All followed the Covid protocol.
A Wonderfully pleasant experience, arrived Christmas Eve, stayed three nights, what a beautifully quiet and peaceful location where all you hear is the sounds of birds. The village offers spacious clean rooms, Shower and toilet also very clean, your room comes with the usual complimentrys also a good selection of streaming services to watch. Checking in and out is all too easy, the village has an awesome pool and there's shopping opportunities out front.
This is a Covid safe & family friendly place. Polite and friendly staff.
Do come visit, highly recommended
Thank You
Nice spacious clean rooms convenient location. Grounds very much in need of a gardener not sure what the gardener was doing during lockdown but weeds and palm leaves etc everywhere.
Small general store for sweets, drinks hot/cold and small groceries. Friendly service. Tables and chairs outside under cover to sit while enjoying your drink and scenery.
We stayed over the long weekend, and have no complaints. The room was neat and tidy, and the mattress was actually OK. Have had some horror show experiences in the past where I reckon the bed was older than me! Not so here.
We had guests on either side of us, but with the exception of the occasional noise they went completely unnoticed.
Thanks very much!
Had breakfast here on our way home from the Hunter.
Great food, lovely staff and a lovely view.
Thanks so much.
Lots to see and do. Very commercial/ tourist focused as you would expect but enjoyed the visit.
Great place to stop n have a bite. A little taste of what the Hunter has to offer. Well worth the stop.
A nice selection of different shops with all kinds of goodies available including cheese, wine, jewellery and an old fashioned convenient store.
My partner and I stayed here for two nights to celebrate our two-year anniversary and it was wonderful! The staff were accomodating and very helpful, the room was clean and tidy with functioning amenities that worked smoothly. The location couldn't have been better, with several highlights within walking distance (such as Hope Estate, and Roche Estate). It was also a stop for the iHop Hop-on Hop-off bus. Within the village, there was a cafe, as well as other shops that were interesting and unique which made for good shopping. An overall great experience, would definitely stay there again!
Like the environment and amenities but the check in process sucks if you DON'T HAVE AN PHOTO ID WITH ADDRESS.
I only went to the shops at Pokolbin Village. Not all are open due to Covid 19. Those that are open are worth visiting. As well as practical items there's excellent locally made produce - hand made chocolates, teas, preserved honey, jams, pickle chutneys, local cheeses, wines and some crafts a jewellery.
We escaped Sydney for Christmas to meet up with our family, left a couple of days early so thought to go and explore the Hunter. Pokolbin Village came up with everything we were looking for at a reasonable price. The imagery on the website didn't really give anything away, but I can tell you, absolutely gorgeous. The location is very central however the cabins are well and truly in the bush, you are surrounded by bushland and there are kangaroos everywhere. You have your own balcony with all the amenities, including a well maintained BBQ that anyone could operate. Tennis courts and a pool are in close proximity and the front desk is very helpful with suggestions for areas to explore and catering it to your likes (wine, gin etc). Cannot recommend more.
Disgusting, this is not a 4 star hotel it’s a 2 star motel. Website is very misleading had to move to another proper hotel. Horrible rude reception staff as well it’s $250 plus per night not even worth for $50 per night.
Stayed in a king double and the room was a good size. Location is handy to many things, you can stroll to a distillery, a couple of wineries, Hunter Baker gardens and a brewery.
Good location near cafe, deli, bakery, chocolatier. Nice space. Bed not comfy, matress needs replacing. Lump on join of split mattress. Heating could be better too. Aircon on 30 but could not get room warm. Bed made with very thin bed cover. Extra blankets provided but at least one should have been on the bed already. Very cold.
