Pokolbin Village Accommodation reviews
71The accommodation is very centrally located. Tastings at various wineries are possible on foot. Small purchases including alcohol are possible on the premises. Clear recommendation!
Only stayed one night. Clean room.comfortable bed and quiet location. Facility has a pool. Staff were friendly and all needs met. If you are after bells and whistles this is not the place for you. If you are after a peaceful, quiet experience this is it.
Wow, great location, price and appointments. We will definitely stay there again. The comfort of the beds and furniture was excellent.
Great central location in the Hunter Valley with friendly staff.
Rooms have everything you need for a short-term stay.
Fabulous location, service and communication. Stayed in a Deluxe King Room and was very clean and comfortable. Added bonus is the village shops have everything you need during your stay.
A very comfortable home feel of Lodge for you to stay for your holiday in Sydney. I love it.
Return customers- fantastic place to stay! We spent 3 nights there & had a great time. We’ve stayed in all of their accommodation types, except the Villas. This time, we chose the 4 bedroom cottage (more like a house.) It was very clean, quiet (good for others as we are loud people!). The king sized beds were amazing, full kitchen, dining & lounge and bbq dinner on the deck was lovely. Air conditioned throughout, which made it very comfortable. The staff are wonderful - the service is top class. Great place for everyone (saw some little ones riding their bikes, having a ball!)
The boardwalk near reception is great, offering all the basics and special treats, like the chocolate shop, Specialty Cheeses and a bottle shop. A bit disappointed that our usual breakfast cafe was closed during this visit. We’ve already looked into booking our next trip xo
We went there on the easter long weekend. I like the location of the room quite and close to nature.
My wife and I stayed to attend the Rod Stewart concert at Roche Estate. Our studio apartment was enormous as was the bathroom, plus the balcony had a beautiful view.
The real bonus was that it was within easy walking distance of the Roche venue, we are both eighty this year and found it was very easy. Much simpler than trying to find somewhere to park, that looked an absolute nightmare!
It is situated just around the corner from Hunter Valley Gardens, well worth a visit.
Very friendly and helpful staff, we had a brilliant time and have no hesitation recommending it to anyone who wishes to stay in the Hunter Valley.
2 nights stay in this really EXCELLENT accommodation.
Pros: Location ideal. Reception charming and efficient. Room superb, spacious, very well equipped. Comfort 5 stars. Local amenities convenient and high quality. This is a perfect venue for a visit to The Hunter Valley and very reasonably priced. Most highly recommended.
Cons: None.
Cheese factory was awesome!
Piggs Peake great tasting!
Dessert Bar up the road was great.
Harrigans was terrific!
So we took our friends from Qld to the hunter as they have never been to a winery & We had an absolutely fantastic time the pokolbin village
If I needed to nitpick it would be that some winery's wanted us to pay a $0 to $25 tasting fee
We stayed in a deluxe king studio, 2 nights for only $240 and the room was actually really pleasant. It was technically a 1 bedroom but called a studio. Comfy bed, easy parking and access. Close to reception and the shops. Friends were in larger cabins further back which was a 5min walk away, lots of kangaroos around dawn & dusk. Would recommend & stay here again
Great place to stay, love the upgrade. The rooms are comfortable and clean and the location is terrific. The customer service is also terrific. I'm booking another two stays right now.
Great breakfast after a long day wine tasting the day before. The service was very friendly.
Went to the smelly cheese factory. There wasn't much collection of cheese to start with. Then went next door to the takeaway grocery store. Ordered chicken burger as they were out of pies just before start of music festival across the road. Bit did we regret it. Bland, expensive and served with an attitude.
The shopping precinct is looking very tired.
Individual shops are well stocked with interesting product.
Always enjoy Gelato from the Smelly Cheese Shop.
Went to the store and the owners were lovely. Food was highly recommended. Shopping is worth popping in for. Bathrooms, convenience and all the things you need to enjoy the Hunter Valley. Perfect coffee.
Rooms were not made up. When questioned we were informed that they don't make up rooms because of covid.
It wasn't very clean and we were charged more supposedly it's a disabled room but there were nothing to hang on to inside the showers and it only has curtains which means water goes everywhere when you have a shower making it very dangerous.
Place is good for families. Service is good. Rooms are comfortable. Close to all wineries and Cessnock.
It would be good to have
Air Condition in Bedroom
Better car park as currently it's not cement or asphalt on the ground
A street light is helpful when entering the back side of village to reach the rooms.
