Paramount Coffee Project reviews
49 They were sold out of chicken waffles so I got a burger with fried chicken, but the fried chicken was soggy.
I like their bacon, it's thick and not greasy. Service was good though.
Incredibly overrated. Coffee is weak and acidic, the food pretentious and poorly executed, and the service so-so. The only thing we liked was the hipster atmosphere in the Paramount hotel lobby, but like for so many hipsters, this proved more style than substance.
Ordered at opening for coffee and waited 20min for it while takeaways were served ‘as a priority’ over sit downs. Overrated
Pls don’t get the maple iced coffee it’s not good and not worth $7.the atmosphere is nice tho and good to bring ur laptop
This cafe has a sophisticated urban atmosphere. I chose a BKE roll with cheese and a latte for my drink. As you can see in the photo, the egg, bacon, and fried kale were sandwiched together in a bun. It was delicious, but too greasy for breakfast. (October 2023)
Beautiful cafe in the middle of Surry Hills.
Amazing food and coffee, one of the best avo toast I had in Sydney.
The service was great, friendly, quick and very helpful.
I will 100% go back. Highly recommended
Its an amazing building, open and airy space with a good buzz. However, the food I had at this place does not hit my mark. I ordered the Crispy Chicken Waffle (with bacon), oh boy, what a fail!
I have very few times ever not eaten what I ordered, but this was going to be a full waste of calories if I did. Tasteless chicken, with a bland something dressing, cold bacon on a cold (not fresh-packaged) waffle. The only bit that I ate was the garnishment apple slice, and event that was too sweet.
What a total disappointment and a real shame but I'm not willing to spend $40+ on tasteless food.
Perhaps because they were busy, the response was unpleasant. I made a mistake and was standing in line at the counter again, when a ginger-haired female staff member came and took my receipt, made a fuss about it, and interrupted my conversation. I wondered if it was racism. I will never go again.
I went there as a friend of mine in Sydney recommended (the friend owns his own cafe but still recommend this place)
I really enjoyed these two brunch dishes.
Some people might feel their menus are a bit too simple but still good quality and good looking.
Nice modern decor and food was also nice particularly the ramen; expect long waits / queues on weekend (with service surcharge) ; waiters were apologetic when they took down the wrong number today as we waited an hr without a callback.
If the food was good then the 20% surcharge on a public holiday would be fine.
Food was subpar and overpriced and the coffee was watered down with no flavour.
Epic venue, coffee is hard to give a pass to, service a massive disservice to the phenomenal hotel - food is sadly fairly lack lustre and disappointing to say the least.
I think this place is so overhyped and overpriced. If you are not a coffee drinker, don't bother. The price of the chicken waffle and bone broth are different from the menu than were charged. Menu said $23 & $8 respectively but was charged $25.30 & $9. Not even adding anything. I saw the same thing with some of my friends' food but not with another.why the discrepancies? Unfortunately I wasn't the one heading for the payments so
too late to point them out. Waffles is so sweet that it's weird with the chicken. Stars are to credit the nice staff only.
Ticks all the Sunday brunch boxes, has a great name and great location. We didn't have to wait long for our food and it delivered in taste. I was a little disappointed with the coffee (totally nitpicking) as I had sky high expectations. I will come back for another round soon.
I was in Covid Hotel Quarantine right by this place, and ordered breakfast and coffee from them every day. It was sent from heaven, and Anna is a legend. Thanks PCP.
Had the chicken and waffles. Decent. Could do with more apple slices and without the random red lettuce (or whatever it is) garnish. Service was great. Although the worker behind the counter was talking loudly and in detail about how he cut his whole face open in a motorbike incident years ago. People don't want to hear about that when they're eating, bro. Social awareness.
Delicious food and great service. The mango sago pudding was amazing (not too sweet) and the strawberry mint tea very refreshing.perfect for a hot summer day.
This is one of my favourite spots to meet people for coffee. Great ambience, great food, great coffee.
Been here with a friend and I tried their Soft Baked Eggs w/ pork sausage. Loved it so much, wanna go back here and chill!
The best dining experience in Sydney.
Literally every visit the coffee is spectacular, the food is perfect (delicious, well portioned for price) and the staff are attentive. Better than any fine dining restaurant tbh. ️️
I thought about giving PCP one star so less people feel like visiting on the weekends.
