A wonderful experience. The entire team have been extremely helpful and approachable at all times. From the moment of consultation with the sales manager Craig and working with Gabbie who was the move manager, everything was explained so clearly and no question was too hard. The move crew on the day of pack up were phenomenal! Friendly, careful, respectful and efficient when packing up our entire home. Thank you OSS for a seamless and wonderful first experience.

Feedback from our experience with OSS, as a partner to Transworld, on discovery a bag of tools was missing on the day of delivery by Transworld. We were advised it happens all the time by the Transworld delivery team. They insisted all boxes were delivered and advised to sign off delivery with exception of missing tools. They advised the boxes were subject to inspection by customs, but did not advise which boxes were inspected. When raised with OSS, OSS reported that all the boxes were reported delivered and we didn’t note any tampering of the boxes. End result, no tools to the value of $1000 being delivered and the issue was made to be our problem.

In response to below:
As highlighted earlier in our correspondence to you OSS in response to the below. The items went missing in your care. There is nothing in your response that shows any due care or ownership. I don’t think anyone would consider verifying with personnel two months after the date of activity, being suitable. They were signed off on delivery, with exception, but you seem to gloss over that fact. The items were within your respective storage facilities (OSS and Transworld) for over a month each, nothing was stated as being checked or verified while in storage. Everything was delivered except that bag of tools, which would not have been packed separately from everything else that was delivered. Any information you are now supplying with respect to inspection, was never supplied before hand for us to administrate or determine if boxes had been tampered with. Descriptions of packaging, were not always correct either. I didn’t think I would have to consider tampering of goods from the service provider, OSS or Transworld, who were paid upfront to supply a service. The individual items were in your care throughout their journey. I wouldn’t have thought I would have to consider insurance for individual items against the provider who is invited into my home and being paid to supply a service.

Called to get a quote to move from Perth to Europe. The lady didn’t know there was a port in Perth and wanted to transport the goods from Perth to Melbourne. I explained there is a very large port in Fremantle. She had never heard of Bruxelles either. Didn’t feel comfortable to proceed with getting a quote.

The absolute worst experience! Once they have your money there is no communication, care or regard for your belongings. One shipment arrived with goods damaged the other shipment is still missing 7 months later. The absolute worst customer service, although that wasn't the case before the contract was signed and payment was made. The last thing you need when moving to another country is the added stress of having to deal with an unreliable company like this one.

UPDATE: 2023.1.23 - I updated my ratings because after making complaints to the company, my goods are delivered today as originally scheduled. I will see if I can get a refund for the additional fees as ferry vehicles are not used during delivery.

Stay away if you want to avoid exorbitant hidden charges.

OSS Movers manages the Sydney part of my move from Minneapolis to Sydney. They informed me to pay 400 dollars for ferry vehicles for the delivery to happen ONE DAY before the delivery date. They also had me agree to pay for storage per day in the event of THEIR delay in customs and quarantine, although luckily that didn't happen for me.

I suggest finding another business if you don't have the time to find out exactly what array of additional charges they can conjure up from thin air.

We recently used OSS to handle a complex move from Australia to Europe for us.

Our move had a few moving parts:
Sole use container (40 foot or 60 metres cubed) : a four bedroom house being uplifted for long-term storage ahead of shipping to the UK, once we find a house
Shared container (6 metres cubed) : a separate consignment shipped immediately to Europe via shared container
Pet: OSS partners with Jetpets on the transport of pets, by working through OSS this meant we integrated the transfer of our dog Wally to Europe into our overall moving plan (which reduced effort, stress and headaches for us) and achieved a preferential rate on transportation costs for Wally.

Our experience with OSS, from the outset was exceptionally positive. Sam Wadsworth handled the initial quote and then patiently worked through a myriad of different options for us including destinations, composition of uplift (include motorbikes etc.), and at a very late stage organised the separate small consignment to Europe via shared container, in order to give us key personal belongings as quickly as possible. Colleen Butcher was our Move Manager, communicating with us regularly on uplift plans, customs clearance documentation requirements, storage, insurance, shipping of our small consignment etc. Sam and Colleen had great patience with us as we had multiple changes along the way.

Our uplift was handled by Dean as lead hand and a team of up to five, from OSS, who were absolutely fantastic. Dean checked in with us on multiple items, handled all our questions and concerns, including lots of questions regarding the packing of fine art and sculptures. The whole team, was calm and collected and worked exceptionally hard during our two day uplift. We hope we are as lucky with our delivery crew, when we finally take delivery of our container.

We would be very happy to recommend OSS and their service.

My family and I had the worst experience with this company. I would give them 0 star if I could. I will be happy even if only 1 future customer reads this. STAY AWAY LIKE PLAGUE.
Although I acknowledge some of the global challenges we are all facing at the moment for transportation in general, OSS failed us in every step of the process. First their estimator, Leilani, provided us with a quote and said in order to reduce the cost we best reduce our volume, which we significantly reduced it. Then their pick-up team showed up. Jim and Sani were the most unprofessional people we came across. They showed up nearly 3 hours late and wanting to rush through packaging ASAP. They were rude to my wife and kept harassing her that they can't take the volume and my wife ended up leaving a lot of our stuff behind. My wife was intimidated, stressed and exhausted dealing with them. Then they took the liberty to pre-fill the customer survey form and asked my wife to sign. Intimidated and bullied by the pick-up team the whole day she reluctantly signed the form. Few days later I received a fresh invoice from OSS which was nearly $7000 more than the original quote. OSS did not accept this being their fault miscalculating our volume, as if somehow our furniture grew its volume in spite of us reducing it significantly few days before? OSS used Hapag Lloyd shipping company to ship our container. Our container got stuck in port for 2 months because of Hapag Lloyd. I had to call Hapag Lloyd everyday for 7 weeks to follow up. Whenever I contacted Colleen from OSS for some help she was nowhere to be found. Hapag Lloyd team kept lying and lying to me until I threatened to sue them and suddenly one supervisor actioned it AND moved our container. The best part of our experience was the day of delivery, Rainier Overseas Movers (OSS partner) team were professional and very respectful. As they unloaded the truck and brought in our furniture we realized there are a number of broken items. Everything that OSS pick-up team packaged was done wrong. We found most of our boxes were half filled with packaging paper and even used-packaging tapes (which explained the huge increase in our overall volume on the pick-up day). We believe OSS gave us competitive pricing knowing that their pick up team will make UP the difference once they come to pick up by filling our boxes with packaging paper. The other issue was all the big items where not disassembled. For someone who has moved house across Pacific a couple of times this was strange since every other shipping company we used, disassembled our big furniture to reduce volume, reduce the chance of damage to them and reassembled them once delivered. My desk was put on its side as one piece and was damaged due to its weight. Not only they filled up our boxes with junk they didn't even disassemble the big items. The OSS pick-up team either knew what they were doing or didn't. In both cases this is unacceptable for a moving company.
After several attempts we finally got hold of a Chris Farley an OSS branch manager who was absolutely useless to help us. We even send him images of the damaged items but NOTHING. He was very dismissive but said he "will talk to his team" and come back to us. That was 1 month ago.
After paying OSS thousands of dollars for this move I expected a little more respectful response.

So if you are looking at hiring them think again and DYOHW

Overall poor experience. OSS were contracted as the destination agents during our move to Sydney and refused to return and collect the packing rubbish, despite the crew advising me that it was fine for them to do so. Would have been professional for OSS to honour the communication and now I'm stuck with the cost of disposing with a container's worth of boxes and plastic. Would not use this firm willingly again

OSS are the local delivery partners for our shipment from New York to Sydney. As soon as Amelia Iskowicz got in touch to introduce herself and commence the customs and quarantine clearance part of the process I could tell she was across the details, timelines and process - probably better than our initial shipping partner from the US. She's gone out of her way to resolve internal miscommunications and has been super responsive and helpful throughout. Thanks Amelia and here's to getting our belongings delivered soon!

No stars would be more appropriate. I'm relieved we lost our deposit and didn't go with these appallingly unprofessional, dishonest and disrespectful clowns. From the lazy and inaccurate contents listing (leaving us to do the majority of the work) through to the hiding behind emails and downright defensively rude phone manner beggars belief. Basically avoid them like the plague. There are other far more professional (and less expensive) outfits out there.

The whole move was smooth, easy, efficient, precise and extra helpful.
We moved from Sydney to Christchurch on a shared container with door to door assistance.
The trip took 3 months from Penrith to Timaru with 9m cubed and cost us half of what other company's were quoting.

We are moving to Canada. After getting a few quotes, we found OSS to be the most responsive and helpful, specifically Christine. We were supposed to start the move yesterday, early afternoon, but the movers got delayed until late afternoon with another job. They arrived 4ish and were apologetic, but would have cracked on had it been necessary. We all decided it would be best to start the next day so decided to begin at 8: 30. The lead person in charge, Johnny, arrived right on time. He did an excellent job, way above average, and had everything wrapped and boxed in a few hours. It’s all en route now and we felt compelled to say that thus far, OSS has been fantastic.

Arranged a pre-inspection at our home in Melbourne at 1pm. Waited 2 hours but the guy never turned up. He didn't even call to tell us he wasn't coming. After 2 hours we called the manager Adam, to ask what was going on. Gave no apology, didn't even call his guy to ask what was happening. He really didn't seem to care. Then told us they were busy so we could go somewhere else, but that we should read their reviews because they are the "best in the business"! So here's mine & I hope people read it.

I used OSS World Wide Movers for my relocation from Australia to the UK and they exceeded my expectations from start to finish!

The initial contact and follow-up was always prompt, accurate and complete plus they were very competitive and transparent.
The packing crew were experienced and really quick - nothing was damaged or missing upon receipt at my home in the UK.

Overall a great experience with professional service - will use again in the future.

My family and I had a really positive experience with OSS Movers. We needed urgent pickup of our belongings and Adam Downton arranged everything for us in just a few days. The customer service was exceptional from the initial quote to the efficient pack-up. We are grateful to be in good hands during a stressful international move! From the moment I contacted OSS World Wide Movers to freight my gear from Australia to NZ, I had positive experiences. They always phoned back promptly. Their price was reasonable.
The man who packed my gear was prompt, professional and friendly. The management kept me informed of the progress of my freight. They also answered all my questions and helped me fill in the customs paperwork when it got confusing.
I would gladly recommend this company to anyone moving.

Great service from Jeff and Ali. They delivered my shipments on time and the unloading was very efficient. Both Jeff and Ali were very helpful to unload the carton boxes to the proper location.

OSS helped us move internationally twice, and we'll be coming back to them every time. Literally nothing was damaged, pick up from multiple locations, handled the port and customs stuff, responded to emails immediately.made life really easy.
