NRMA Ocean Beach Holiday Resort reviews
73We are currently staying in the sunset villas at your park. So far the stay has been absolutely amazing. Starting with amenities the showers are excellent the pressure is great, villa was nice and tidy on arrival. Cooking amenities were great the only thing I can fault is the small fry pan provided was a little tricky to cook dinners some nights but this was not an issue. The activities in the park are great we hired the 4 seater go kart was much fun for us all better way to see everything in park (45 min slots are enough, great workout.) The pools are excellent sadly weather has deteriorated so probably won’t swim again. Location is perfect surrounded by beautiful parks and cafes great for kids. Town is only minutes drive from park which is prefect. Thank you for having us, we will be back definitely in near future.
Excellent customer service from Azure, she was very friendly, polite, extremely helpful, she was very quick in understanding our needs and quick organised it without wasting any time. Other than that resort itself is five star, this was our second trip and we will definitely come back again.
Unfortunately not a terribly good experience. Location was great, right on the beach, and close to plenty of shops for supplies or take away. Big playground just outside the resort, which was good for kids. The room was sub-par, very run down with laminate coming off everywhere due to water damage, no less than 3 doors that wouldn't close or were falling off hinges, kitchen benches worn down and broken bathroom sink. Very small rooms, barely enough room to walk around the bed, kitchen so small you can't cook in it, and toilet hidden behind the door so every time someone comes in you break your knees or toes. Shower was good, strong and hot. New tv and air conditioning worked well, but can't use the smart features or Chromecast on the tv because it won't connect to the wifi of the hotel. Bed was excruciatingly hard, and towels are all kid sized. Came during holidays, only to find that 1 of the bouncing pillows was broken for the whole stay, and the playground had a broken swing and broken rope climbing activity. Effectively this meant that there were literally 50-100 kids jammed on a single jumping pillow, which caused lots of accidents. Heated pool was good, but very crowded, and not enough pool noodles to go around all the kids, and many were broken. Staff were friendly and the resort was clean and tidy. Pancake breakfast on Saturdays was a good idea. Overall, unfortunately not a very enjoyable stay, and we will look for somewhere else next time.
Blonde Life is rude and disrespectful towards letting kids the age of 15 go into the pool and asked for ID. Being called Lairs about age very unprofessional
Food was overpriced
Pool signs are wrong need to be fixed
Nice security guards
Showers and toilets are ok but dirty
Great for kids. Put our massive van on a small site while smaller vans on large sites. Need to get that right. If you want piece and quiet and maybe sleep in past 7am make sure yr as far as possible from the kids play things. Screaming and yelling all day and it was very noisy constantly in the mornings and evenings like yr at a footy match. Too many vans squashed into one area no space to breath. Otherwise good park to keep kids occupied during holidays and a bit on the expensive side re rates and very expensive Cafe so byo food!
One of the best places for camping, glamping or cabin accommodation around Sydney. It feels like holiday in Queensland with out the travel time.
Ammenities are far better than most with the usual laundry facilities.
Kids are fully entertained with fun pool area, water park, mini tennis courts, arcade, jumping pillow playground, hire bikes and carts just name a few.
The beach is an actual 2min walk from every camp site and is kid friendly, small wave however unpatrolled. Not that you need patrol with huge sand bar.
Kids and family friendly place, and very polite staff who works really hard. Excellent customer service.
As a local it has always been somewhat of a closed off community, so much so that you felt like ninja when sneaking in to go on the bouncing pillows. I now run in here some mornings, it's quite big and flat. 5/5 for runnability
You can’t even call the jumping pillows a jumping pillow it is that deflated. And the pools close too early. But nice holiday park overall.
The place is extremely noise. If you are looking for a rest this is not the place. People keep talking, listening to music and screaming until late. I couldn't sleep and it made my weekend the worse time.
This was such a great experience grandkids loved the freedom to ride around and the pools with beach on your doorstep what much could you ask for
Fantastic accommodation terrific place for kids plenty for them to do & it's opposite the beach which is a definite asset
What a hidden gem. Stayed on a powered site for 2 nights. Facilities were excellent. So much for kids to do. Felt like us parents actually got a wk end away! The kids club was well organised. With the music, food, beer and movie nights laid on, there was no need to go anywhere. However we did walk along the beach to the surf club to have breaky one morning.
Across the road there is surf for all levels of riders.
We will be back
Great park. Amenities clean, lots of things to do for children. Loved it, but it's abit pricey. Have traveled and have also enjoyed other parks at a cheaper rate.
Great park with a great location, right on the beach. It’s the little extra things they did that made it the 5th star. Many activities for the kids to do, and an excellent school holiday program with so many daily activities. At night they had live music, dinner and drinks out under the stars. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and we will be back!
Loved the facilities, but the cabins needed much attention a few broken things, like clothes line, tea pot not working couldn't use other shower too noisy, mattress on bunk beds too thin did not get much sleep, was thinking great place to bring the family but the cabin quality has changed my mind as we would have to as a family get 3 cabins.
Pretty darn good. Huge pools and plenty of amenities to spread out and keep the kids entertained. Found a seashell on the beach.
Good things
# Lots of kids activities
# Good size pool and kids water park
# Well equipped with camper amenities
# Well maintained and clean facilities
# Site is Secure and safe
# Easy access to the beach
Not so good things (for us)
# Camp sites are too small
# Gets really crowded
Overall worth going again but in groups and possibly in bigger groups.
We stayed for 4 nights on a ensuite caravan sites that was quite generous in size and our 23 ft van fit with lots of room to set a gazebo nexr to our awning and park the car as well. The park is awesome and has all that kids love, watermark and multiple pools and a beach. The ensuit however is tired and needs some TLC, recommended to bring the family here for a great holiday or stop over.
Nice park except for price paid per night for a powered site was more than price on their website, plus had to suffer a cold shower in the evening.
