NRMA Ocean Beach Holiday Resort reviews
73Great location, it's our 3rd time camping at this place, their Christmas program has improved over the year. Highly recommended. Just not sure why they've removed the fridge from the kitchen during this visit, hopefully not permanent (not that we use it)
We went there for camping. It’s a great place to spend quality time with family and friends.
Kids enjoyed a lot. The place may become crowded on peak days but that doesn’t impact the fun.
Staff is very helpful and have maintained the place up to the mark. Can’t think of anything negative.
Excellent caravan park. Lots of playgrounds for the kids but also great place for Adults to chill out. Lots of activities on offer from the team on a daily basis. Cafe on site, food trucks and a kombi beer bus. Close to Umina Beach. Walking distance to main Umina shopping centre. Great holiday getaway. Great customer service lots of helpful advice and always willing to help. Highly recommend a visit to this holiday park right on the main Umina beach front.
Busy.lots of space, great for kids.
Our campsite was taken by another family and caused a bit of a problem and we ended up having to move to another one that wasn't grand.but otherwise we enjoyed it there.
Love the birdlife and creatures you can spot while staying.
This caravan park offers a mix of experiences depending on the time of year. During school holidays, it's bustling with families and activities, creating a vibrant atmosphere for kids and parents alike. However, during off-peak days, it transforms into a tranquil oasis, perfect for those seeking peace and relaxation amidst nature's beauty. A versatile destination that caters to both lively getaways and serene escapes.
I recently had the pleasure of experiencing a massage at Lavida Beauty Mobile Massage within the premises of NRMA Ocean Beach Holiday Resort, and I must say, it was truly amazing! This addition to the park's facilities has undoubtedly elevated our overall stay, and I couldn't be more grateful.
From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with warm hospitality and a tranquil ambiance that immediately set the tone for relaxation. They provided an exceptional massage that left me feeling rejuvenated and completely refreshed.
The convenience of having such a fantastic service available right inside the resort is truly commendable. It's evident that the management understands the importance of offering a diverse range of amenities to enhance their guests' experiences. Alongside the other wonderful facilities.
Your dedication to ensuring guest satisfaction is evident in every aspect. The convenience, professionalism, and skill exhibited by your staff are truly commendable.
For anyone seeking a truly exceptional massage experience during their stay at NRMA Ocean Beach Holiday Resort, I wholeheartedly recommend Lavida Beauty Mobile Massage. You won't be disappointed. Thank you once again for making our stay absolutely amazing.
The staff were incredibly friendly and accommodating.
All the park’s facilities were great and the kids had lots to do.
Beds in cabins were comfortable as were the pillows.
Cabins had everything needed for a short stay.
Don't get me wrong, this place is nice, but there are enough little niggling issues that I can't give them a full 5 stars.
If you're a tent camper, be *careful* the site will be appropriate. We told them what we had, and were booked onto a 'multipurpose site'. While it was really new and good quality artificial grass, which helped keep things clean, it also had a giant concrete pad taking up the middle 1/2 of the site. Our family rolls a two-tent setup, it made it a real challenge to fit them in, get them staked down, and I could only get about 1/3 of the guy ropes in because of the size and shape of the concrete. We ended up overhanging into the neighbours by about 1.5m, which thankfully was our friend's site so it didn't matter, but if it had been strangers it would've been a problem.
Also, the quality of the staff seems to vary a lot day to day. On our first two days the staff were all absolutely brilliant. Lovely, helpful, reasonable, not a single complaint. On the final day, there was one security guard who was being unnecessarily strict. He blocked me from joining my wife and kids who had gone down to the pool 5 minutes ahead of me, saying I needed to walk to the office to get a new wristband, and wouldn't let me in to get mine from the pool bag my wife had taken in with her. I also saw kids crying because the guard wasn't letting them into the pool when their parents were already in there, which is all kinds of not cool. The staff member I spoke to on the front desk at checkout was also unnecessarily rude.
The service was the best I have had, anywhere. Yes lots of activities for the kids, but what really won me over was how helpful they were. They texted me to ask if everything was going well while I was walking to the jumping pillow with the kids, I texted back to say could I borrow or rent a small clothes drying line to dry our towels? By the time we got back they had dropped one off.
I texted asking if we had a DVD player in our room as I had just borrowed one of their free DVDs, they came and not just dropped it off but helped us figure out how to plug it all in. My child needed an ice pack, sure, can we provide first aid, are you sure? Honestly they were so lovely.
My only complaint, the bed was way too hard.
Have recently had family up here over the past couple of weeks. The place has served as a great get together with high quality rooms, good views and fun things to do. Arcade room in particular is awesome. Recommend staying here!
This is our favorite family holiday spot. Great beach which is super safe for kids. Cool pools and water parks. The cabins are always clean and well equipped. We keep coming back because it's awesome.
Good experience with Kids but there was few cockroach in the house, looks like need some pest control But location and facilities were so good.
Great park. Staff were friendly. Check in was a breeze, we got water and lollies on departure. The park is very clean and family friendly.
Great caravan park with everything you need for a memorable family holiday! Location and facilities are fantastic with two pools, kids splash zone, jumping pillows and direct access to the beach. The only downside was the park and pools were extremely crowded in Summer and the bathrooms could do with a renovation otherwise a perfect destination.
If you haven't been the only thing you need to ask yourself is "when are we going? '"
Awesome camp sites. Fantastic facilities. Loads for the kids to do. Right at the beach. One of our favourite spots!
Lovely place to stay, excellent facilities, everything in good condition, perfect location on the beach. My only complaint was the bike helmets had lice on them, so make sure you bring your own helmets till this issue is taken care of.
Fantastic resort like pool with a slide, whirlpool, spa, kiddies pool, water park, bouncing pillow. So many great activities for the kids and backing on to a beautiful beach as well. Highly recommend this park.
Good Park and Great Staff, Disappointing how the pool shuts at sundown as it has been open much later previous times, Overall would recommend
It was a very good place. Although the cabins were so close to each other they had a arcade and lots of fun games and rides. It was a bit noisy but it is perfect for a family. Had lots of fun. They have a beautiful nearby beach which was so calm and peaceful. Did really enjoy it and a big thanks to the team.
We stayed at the Park in May 2021 for a few nights and there are a few things that I think could be improved. We stayed at one of the safari tents and I know tents are a bit of roughing it but the idea of a Safari tent means a little bit of comfort in a tent. The improvements that I suggest would be a light on the decking to see what you are cooking and while you are eating, I should not be expected to bring my own light. There should be a little side table in the sitting area inside the tent would be convenient. The ensuite is exposed to wind, cold and mosquitoes, it would be helpful if this was covered properly. We did not know there was a woodchip facility at the back of the park and there was a lot of really loud chainsaw and wood chipping noise, most uncomfortable. Overall we were quite disappointed with the quality of the tent and seemed a bit aged, zippers not working and dirty canvas. The email that I received after staying with you started of saying "we miss you already" this is a very superficial salutation, I would respond much better if it had been "thank you for staying with us", I think this would have sounded more genuine. Thank you for the opportunity to provide the feedback, we would prefer not to stay in the Safari Tents again. Regards Larry Armstrong.
