North Star holiday Resort

Great location for a family holiday. We camped but family members stayed in accommodation. Kids club was awesome for my 3 year old, and the waterslides were great fun. Ripples Cafe also had great food options.

Awesome place. Great sites, great location. So much for the kids to do (which means plenty for the adults too).
All the staff were so helpful and friendly, we couldn’t fault them at all.
Ripples cafe has a fantastic menu for both food and drinks (especially happy hour)
We had a booking for 20 people and every single meal was amazing and not a single complaint from anyone.

We’ll definitely be back. ️

What a great family friendly spot! Lush shaded camping sites, loads of close amenities and tonnes to keep the kids happy. A great vibe and amazing staff that couldn’t be friendlier. Ripples Cafe was the cherry on top with super yummy food and even better cocktails. Can’t wait to come back. Thanks guys!

Never stay here again! Rudest night staff I have ever met. Swearing and yelling at us. They don’t follow their OWN rules and guidelines. Zero customer service. Nothing is ever their problem and you always have to take it up with “management” the next morning but they’ll refuse to give you their name in order to do so. They close the camp kitchen earlier than the times stated on the signs and in the check in booklet. Night staff came into camp kitchen early and started spraying chemicals around our food as we were cooking and eating, leant over our food and sniffed it (very Covid safe) and tapped his watch in our face asking us to leave on the first night we were here. The next night they asked my mother if she was going to “fade away” because they closed the camp kitchen early yet again so she asked if they could please open it as it was still operating hours as stated in the book. It was apparently not their problem and they “don’t need to know what’s in the book nor “do they care” so we had no access to food for the whole night. My mother needed to eat for medical reasons but she didn’t feel comfortable disclosing this to the rude night staff as their attitude was so aggressive. Another night we were told to leave the camp kitchen early again so we complied respectfully even though we had just finished eating and still needed to clean up. But the night staff made it very clear in a very rude way that we needed to leave straight away. As we walked out the door, the night staff decided to snap back at us to clean up the barbecue even though he was going to do that himself momentarily. We were confused as he had told us to leave just a moment ago. So we again complied and said okay. There is only a barbecue scrape so all we could do is scrape the barbecue. So as we were told by staff to clean for them we asked if they had maybe some soap and steal wool or something in order to clean the barbecue for them before we leave as he instructed us rudely to do. Only for him to snap back at us yet again that he wouldn’t and he’s cleaning it anyways. We informed him that we had thought staff cleaned the barbecues as there are no cleaning materials around for guests to do so and every other park we’ve been to, clean the barbecues throughout the day. He informed us they clean it every night, so we mentioned how the barbecues are dirty during the day. But apparently that again is not his problem and that it is up to us to tell the prior users to clean it. We decided to return to our camp after this incident as we did not want his rude arrogant behaviour to ruin the rest of our evening.

Surprisingly great! We camped on a powered site. The ground is large, concrete and astroturf so even tho we had torrential rain for a whole day, the ground did not flood or get muddy. The facilities seem endless - water park (for adults and kids), games room, indoor and outdoor playground, marine wildlife centre and large undercover free bbq area. The amenities are large and clean. We were quite impressed!

Pros:
* Water Park for the kids - 1 of 2 slides in service Feb 2022.
* Licenced Restaurant and Service Station on site.

Cons:
* Cockroaches in the Cabins.
* Super passive-aggressive about park rules and associated penalties in Videos, emails and thier terms & conditions. So much so, that I felt like I was there to serve them (I'm sure for $200+ a night you can sweep, empty a bin or two and tidy your own cabins if needed rather than dishing out the threat of fees and charges).
This really is a major let down for the park. Obviously there are some drop kicks here and there but the majority of us do the right thing.
These issues should be factored into the price and dealt with internally rather than the current approach that ultimately alienates the guests who are paying your bills.

Very nice place, great for kids lots to do close to the beach, great clean cabins and lots of caravan spots lovely spot.

Back again for about the 5th time this time staying in a cabin on the fence line south of the park.our deck faced west and the arvo sun was a melter.my kids feet were burning on the deck that was painted brown.a bit of shade cloth could solve this issue.other wise the park is epic.

Great place to stay. Love the sauna, swimming pool and other facilities. In a child free environment. They also have great facilities for children and adults.

This place was geat fun for all the family! Couldn't ask for much more, this place has thought of everything! Especially enjoyed time out with the kids club and adults only retreat on offer. Very friendly staff, comfortable and clean rooms. Highly recommend
to all ages

We have been staying at North Star 1-3 times a year for almost ten years. We have stayed in camping area, more budget cabins and shared the higher end apartments with friends. Never had a bad experience. Excellent kids facilities - lots of kids around but never had any issues with noise late at night as curfew is well adhered to. During school holidays get to the water park early to grab a cabana in full shade and exhaust the kids on the waterslide - kids always sleep well staying here. 1 minute walk to one of my fave swimming spots on the coast and more recently we starting taking our kayak and enjoyed the great paddling opportunities.

Beautiful, caravan park, cabin living, retirement living, holiday making, beaches are just 5 minutes walk. All in one

The best holiday resort we have ever stayed at. Friendly staff, 10/10 facilities and activities, children and adults have the best time ever. We always look forward to our next stay when we leave! Thanks North Star

Fantastic destination for a family getaway.
Waterpark with 8m high tower slides a d playground for the kids, and day spa and cafe/bar for the adults.
Also offers kids club to give parents a break.
Amenities very clean and well maintained, and staff extremely friendly and welcoming.
Such a relaxing environment and will definitely be back.

Sick place to let your kids go mad! Water slides, playground, kids on bikes and scooters everywhere, beach and creek close by. An easy win for a stay with little ones.

We have come back for a second time.in cabins.
Clean, neat facilities. Great for families and kids of any age (currently 18mo to 4yo), swimming pools, indoor play areas, activities and child care at certain times. Ripples cafe staff very friendly and helpful (inc GF adult), good food, reasonably priced. Adult swimming, spa, and pampering area too.

This place is fantastic especially for children it was terantial rain for days place was water logged but drained well once rain was gone. To have such a fantastic time with all the rain is great all the amenities are clean staff are extremely friendly and helpful. Book this place now so you don't miss out

Great family holiday! The Waterpark and slides were endless entertainment for the kids. The best part though was the friendly & flexible staff that put us at ease. Nothing worse than nit-picking, nosy staff at camp grounds - but there were none here, they were all really helpful & looked after my wife and our six kids. Also, I was very pleased with the cleanliness which has been a let down of other family type venues in the past, but here the houses were Immaculate. Thanks.

Very chilled great for families I would suggest bring your own baby gates locks etc as the villas aren't baby proof at all I have a 1 yr old and a 2 yr old and they had fun pulling everything out of all the cupboards I had to put up dishwashing liquids and cockroach spray up high so my little ones wouldn't get into them. Overall though was a great experience

Truly lovely experience for the family. Everything you want is on site and some lovely beaches and villages nearby. Staff are fantastic so helpful. They will tow your rig in and park it for you even, saves the clutch.restaurant on site is very good, and the water park is amazing, you can even go down with your kids to help them a bit. Been here a couple of times, once in cabin and once in trailer tent. We are booked again in a few months. Great deals, free kids clud every weekend. Facilities are always clean. And the cherry on the cake is family bathrooms with bath and shower. Kids can play in the bath while parents shower.
