Mudgee's Getaway Cottages

Rating 5/6 starts (I wish I could) This place is my favorite holiday place in the whole world! Everyone is so friendly the staff are so kind and nice, the animals are so cute, Peppy is my favorite! The location is great, love the golf love everything.

Nailed that house, be a hard one to beat.thx again. The Manor fitted our group perfectly with overflow to a neighbouring cottage. Would highly recommend to other large groups.

Lovely large house. We had 6 adult guests. Kitchen facilities great for the group. Bathrooms were very good. Lounge big enough for all of us. The grounds are extensive and will take you some time to look around and enjoy. River is along the back, so bring fishing gear. Only a few minutes walk to pub and restaurents. Highly recommend for family or groups.

We spent a weekend at Mudgee’s getaway cottages recently. It was an amazing experience and Elizabeth, Alison and Farmer Gary were lovely. The place has everything a family getaway could ask for - animals, sandpit, toys, sports equipment, vegetable gardens, fire pit and a homely cottage! We’ll definitely be going back.

Such a beautiful property far exceeded my expectations. Highly recommend it so close to town, so many things for children to do and the gardens are beautiful never been anywhere before were you can just walk out your door and pick fresh vegetables.

Great place for family and friends to get away. Range of accommodation options, beautiful grounds and lots to explore. We visit annually for a family catch up and always have a great time. Very good value and excellent hospitality. Thanks Elizabeth and team! See you next year.

A well located, affordable, fantastic relaxing place for ALL ages. Accommodation was spotless and had everything you could possibly need. The balconies, gardens and river provided tranquil surrounds, while farm animals provided entertainment. Elizabeth and Farmer Garry were absolutely wonderful, organised, welcoming and helpful. A must do is to pick and eat fresh strawberries from the garden and to say hello to Kahamel the Camel.

Fantastic holiday destination for any age group. Beautiful gardens to enjoy, excellent accommodation and a vast amount of activities from relaxing by the river, petting bunnies or playing sports on the lush lawns

We love visiting, always such a wonderful and relaxed stay. The kids love all the animals so much and always look forward to egg and vegetable collecting. A special place and people.

Our house was clean, tidy and exactly what we were expecting. Elizabeth and her team provided us with all the information we needed prior to our arrival, and were readily available during our stay for any questions. We stayed in one of the B&B houses, and the provisions were delicious and generous. I would highly recommend Mudgee Getaway Cottages to anyone planning to have a stay in Mudgee.

After numerous Stays with Elizabeth and her team over many years I can say I wouldn’t stay anywhere else in Mudgee!

Elizabeth and the team went out of their way to ensure our stay was both comfortable and relaxing, with lots of activities for the kids. An expansive property, which feels like a farm, but is just a short walk from town and Mudgee pool. Highly recommend!

What an absolutely great place. We spent a long weekend at Elington Manor with six couples from school. We are in our 60's now. An absolutely lovely house set in some lovely gardens and so close to town, even though you wouldn't notice it. The manor has six fully ensuite bedrooms with lovely finishings plus an extra twin room for those sent to the 'dog house'. The kitchen is very complete with two large ovens that work great. Excellent coffee machine and plenty of fresh beans to use. The pantry was quite full as well with a range of goodies for breakfast as well as all the essentials. Elizabeth was a fantastic host who went out of her way to help and restock as required. We have stayed in similar large homes each year and this is one of the best. All round a superb place to stay with a group.

Perfect family and friends getaway. The thought that has gone into every detail and experience did not go unnoticed. We will definitely be back again. Can’t overstate how idyllic, peaceful, open, welcoming, and enjoyable the place is. Really well equipped kitchen and house (and vege garden) for the adults, and so much to enjoy the outdoors for the kids. Felt so good getting back to some outdoors time and enjoy the garden, animals, beautiful river gums and activities. Thank you for one of our most enjoyable holidays to date. Your paintings were also beautiful. What a special place you’ve created - thank you for sharing it so generously.

If you are a large group of Adults who like a comfortable shared accommodation with all the trimmings along with personal privacy in an idyllic location then Elington Manor is for you. Elizabeth is the perfect hostess who can't do enough to ensure that your stay is comfortable and more importantly fun! We have stayed multiple times and our group has chosen to stay further times with their own families and extended groups of friends.you can't getter better endorsement than that. Go stay there!

5 stars so well appointed, we came with 3 adults 2 kids. The kids and us loved staying @Get Away cottages. The kids were up every morning playing with the bunnies. There were More Olivia the Ostrich, Camal the camel, turkeys, chickens, peacocks? And much much more. The farm is so well thought out.

What a beautiful oasis an easy walk to town. Hosting an eclectic collection of birds and beasts, plenty of playthings for the youngsters, as well as pick your own vegies (lemon and lime trees were lush but no fruit). Everything was clean, tidy and well appointed. Really looking forward to visiting again with all the family (well, current 4 generations) next time!

Fantastic weekend at the incredible Getaway cottages. We were generously hosted
by the amazing Elizabeth who made our stay for 40 family members achievable and comfortable.
This is our second visit as a large family group and we have rebooked for our third next year.
Children are welcome and catered for, as adults relax and overlook the beautiful garden. Throughly recommend these unique and eclectic cottages.

Blissful! Gateway offers one a perfect getaway from the hustle and bustle of the city life. Wake up to the singing birds. Abundant flora and fauna. Walk the lush green esplanade behind the cottage. Test your skill of Golf. Greet the Emu, the ponies or the camel and pat them if you can. Hear the chatter of the chooks.
