Minnamurra Rainforest Centre reviews
39Great park ~90 minutes South of Sydney. Parking is somewhat limited so either come early or expect to queue and wait for a little bit. If you are not in the possession of a NSW National Parks pass entry is $12 for cars. There are 2 walks from the visitor centre. The rainforest loop is doable with prams and wheelchair accessible. The pathway is well made and raised of the rainforest floor. The walk up to the waterfalls is a big one and a large portion is uphill along a paved pathway which can be challenging for smaller kids and is marked not suitable for wheelchairs. The trip and the reward at the end was worth it for us.
Fantastic, loved it. Great paths to walk on and although quite a trek up, worth it to see the top of the falls. Just stunning
Great walk - there’s an easy track for kids and one that is slightly harder and more uphill to see the waterfall which was worth it. All paved. Kids did it (aged 4 and 6). Saw some prams doing this route too! The centre itself wasn’t very exciting. Toilets were clean at least!
Great welcome center with friendly staff. The parks ranger helped us sign up for an annual pass, which was a very easy process. Provided clear directions for the hikes available, and the scenery there was stunning. Will definitely return.
Fabulous visitors center. Pristine forest. Spectacular bird life. (Lyrebirds etc) and crystal clean water and the falls were breathtakingly special. Especially after the recent rain we have had.
I was a pleasant walk we did the loop walk. Doesn't take too long. $12 for parking there for the day, The information centre was being updated, it is looking fab it's a shame we couldn't check it out as it was closed for the renovations
Amazing place just 30 minutes from the coast. The nicest boardwalk I've ever experienced. Didn't get to the falls due to imminent thunderstorms.
The trek to Minnamurra falls is quite tough.you start wondering what you will do if the waterfall is bone dry after a hike that sometimes seems like you're going up Everest.steep in some parts but its all paved or steel platforms thankfully.very few steps to to worry about.
And the good news.if you can ignore lookingbat your watch and let nature distract you, sounds of cicadas and the odd lizard surprise will make the hour trek much more bearable.
At the falls, the water was trickling.not a gushing waterfall. The view is nice and peaceful.
And although you cant swim in it, the water isnt ice cold like Havasu Falls in Grand Canyon.
Wish there was more bird life there as that would have made the walk feel like you're in nature
Wonderful forest with long history, comfy walking track. Bought local honey from a farmer just near enterence.
Why is 3 stars? Parking is $12, track is short spent about an hour (taking into account my wife was taking photos every 5 minutes), waterfall (it is wrong word to describe it, I even did not make a photo of it) is so weak.
It’s an experience that shouldn’t be missed. A walk within the rainforest perfect for family.
Bring you children along.you can also take your baby stroller with you.
Pleasant scenery, great for a walk. This place deserves all the awards it has won. An outstanding sub tropical rainforest.
The rainforest Center is closed and under renovations now. Bring your own food/water if you plan to visit the rainforest. Park entry tickets ($12 per car) can be purchased at the part entry or in the parking lot stations.
One of the best nature reserves in NSW, needs to kept in in pristine state. For me a great place to wind down and rejuvenate, and for nature photography.
Very beautiful. Great walk up to the falls. Love the ladies at the cafe! Very yummy food and coffees.
Great walk to the waterfall. A bit tiring though. Make sure you wear thongs so people can tell you how inappropriate they are
Beautiful place to spend a day with family.
They are in a process of renovation of information centre and walking tracks but still it's a wonderful place to spent a day
On my previous visit, maybe 25 years ago, the timber boardwalk took you close to the base of the "real" falls in the gorge. It's not too hard to climb over and under the new metal fence and walk along the old track to get your $12 worth. The upper track is pleasant but the falls are disappointing if you've ever been to the lower falls. The one star is for sightings of lyre birds.
It is a very beautiful, serene place. Nice walkways make for a lovely experience walking beneath the cool canopy of trees.
The hike to the water fall is a bit challenging, but the rsinnforest is beautiful. The singing of the lyre birds adds to the atmosphere.
