Very not recommended
Went for rego check, was told my previous mechanic did a bad job and was asked to change this and that, paid $495, my 12 year old car who does not have any problem at all, suddenly have leaking radiator fluid.
The temperature spiked after driving for a couple hours and my car even have smoke coming out from the bonnet.
Contacted them to get clarification and they tried to sign me up to NRMA, told me to wait 48 hr to be serviced/ picked up by roadside assistance or drive my car all the way from City back to Chatswood to their workshop (with leaking radiator fluid) since they have warranty on their service.
True i probably should've a little smarter before trusting whatever the mechanic is saying.
So, just sharing my experience here.
I had the same issue as this guy. Which made me think was it a coincidence that same thing happened to both of us or might be a great strategy to milk money from their customer? I owned my car for about a year and had no issues with radiator. It was checked by a reputed vehicle inspection company as well and everything was good (no leakage at all). But after around 2 weeks of getting my car serviced from this place, I had a heavy leakage of coolant (it was empty after 14 days) and my car overheated. Same situation as this guy mentioned. It's upto professionals to decide whether it was coincidence or done intentionally. But never coming back.
Huge thanks and thumbs up to Ace and his team for the transparent and professional services. I was having a nightmare trying to fix my break squeals on my Audi Q5. Definitely recommend and will be back for regular services.
We pulled in off the highway with noises from the car. These guys helped us out and got us back on the road. They were honest, showed me exactly the issues, and then only charged a modest fee to sort the issue as it could be fixed on the spot without parts. They could have charged us whatever they wanted as we were in a tough position, but they did not take advantage of the situation. I highly recommend anyone to use their services as they are honest and professional. Thanks guys for helping us out so quickly and professionally (we are the couple in the green ford territory that pulled in)

I have been taking my car to Midas Chatswood for 3+ years and have always found that they do a great job. Ase and Louey always explain what work has been done and in easy to understand terms. I think they have the best car servicing around.
I went there for a query about Honda Prelude. He was very friendly customer focused service and got a reference. Honest guys. Stay blessed Midas Autos.
They take full advantage of customers who don't know much about cars. Their botchy work of engine coolant replacement resulted in overheating of my car engine. They booked me in again under The MIDAS Guaranty repair, which cost me more than the initial price. They advised leakages in the cooling system which did not exist before the car went into their workshop. They replaced major parts at a higher price almost equal to genuine parts prices. Who knows if the parts were required to fix the problem and/or if the parts were replaced? In my experience, they want payments in cash and don't want to give a receipt. The MIDAS Guaranty is a trap that allows unscrupulous franchisees to rip off naïve customers. Follow the rule of "the second opinion" or avoid Chatswood MIDAS altogether.
Louie is a down to earth genuine guy who looked after me for my car repairs and took the time out to give the car a thorough vetting advising on a few more areas to look at. Highly recommended and will be using again 100%. If your after a genuine car garage in the upper north shire area, I'd recommend giving Midas a call. Thanks guys and see you all soon. Chris

Cheap enough but you get what you pay for.
Got a regular service done, car went in with no issues, came out with multiple new issues. They told me to come back and they’ll fix it but they were closed on a week day. Took the car to another Midas and they sorted it for me. Won’t be returning.

You have you're car repaired then by the time you pick up your car there is a new problem. Milking money from customers! Make sure to put everything in writing on what they stay. They will deny it at the end of the day.
Ace always explain car issue first before suggesting fix. He tries to work what is best for you

Very bad experience. No warranty for tyres they said to me. Also no receipt getting by mail. After replace tyre they said in yr car front side mechanically like suspension and different parts broken. That means they already knew however they changed tyres and charged me $240. If its broken so why u changed it. Bad business strategy using. One time customers come thn never enter your knock the door.
Also after the change tyres sound coming from the front left side corner. Their employee said after using through prts fits perfectly then no sound.:). How?
