Great place to go with kids, friends or by yourself. On weekends, you need to be here early to secure a parking spot.

I was there on the 30/09 around 1pm and was absolutely disgusted by the state of the female toilets! There was a high turnover of people so why was the cleaning of the toilets not increased.

The pools themselves were lovely.

Great place to go for a swim. Has some stunning views and very good amenities in the change rooms including hot showers. The baths themselves are probably 50m long x 100m wide, so great for accommodating a lot of swimmers.

I usually go to Newie ocean baths but closed due to current works. I didn't think I would be able to get a park within a 1km radius however I have on multiple occasions now. Easy to reach, well laid out. Do enjoy my swims here now

Just visited Merewether beach after a big east coast low pressure weather system.
The surf was clean an big. Great to see the sun after a week of rain.

My number 1 favourite place in Newcastle. There is nothing at all to fault. Who wouldnt want the pleasure of swimming in ocean water minus all the critters. This has got to be the most invested in and well maintained ocean baths in NSW. Its cleaned almost every week. Its such a beautiful set up.

Always a delight to visit - pleasant swimming in a safe and smooth environment with interesting rocks and shells and small creatures around. It’s also easy enough to go into the ocean if you prefer some waves.

Might be the best pool in AU. Looks like a football pitch. 18 degrees in April. There were a few softies in wetsuits but most were doing the right thing! Change rooms were ropey with both 'warm' showers out of action. But who cares. It's always going to be one of your best swims.

There is a body of water here that is calm and enjoyable. Parking is not so calm and enjoyable, so ride a bike

Great place to swim, and the baths and other facilities are well maintained. The baths are within walking distance of both the Beaches Hotel, the Merewether Surf house, and the Ridge Street Takeaway.

There are two big pools and one I'd dedicated to kids only. The adult pool has a separate area for lap practice. The shower facility is clean. Need not to climb stairs. There is 4P parking which is crowded all time.

Best swimming spot in all Newy.
