Maroubra Saltwater Quality Seafood

Very reliable seafood place that offers pretty decent quality food. The whole store feels like it's from the 90's (with 2024 prices!).

The value for money is only okay. Service is good.

Chips were soggy and underseasoned. God knows when the last time the oil was changed. $4 minimum chip order. What a ripoff.

The fish and chip meal is very expensive for the quality too.

Enjoyed (overpriced) meal but metal tables and seats quite dirty. Not very wheel chair friendly.ok for small wheelchair.

Good for a budget seafood feed. Although I will point out that the oil did have a bitter taste which was abit off putting. Apart from this the food was overall of average standard.

The portions are generous, prices are competitive and the food is delicious. The staff are friendly, efficient and they really show they appreciate you. The only downfall is that they don't change their oil often enough. My chips tonight were almost a golden brown colour. Anyone who has worked in an hospitality establishment with a deep fryer knows immediately how fresh the oil is by the colour of the chips. This is the only downfall about this place, other than the oil not being changed often enough, it's a perfect place to eat. They offer tables inside so you can dine in and they are also on UberEats.

Located on the outskirts in the heart of Maroubra on Anzac Parade. Easy to get to by public bus from Juniors Kingsford Light-rail station, of where the light-rail finishes.

Thanks to Philip and the gang who make amazing fish and chips, and their normal battered fish and fish cocktails are Gem fish, and have great crumbed calamari rings too; not soft, but chewy and not too hard. Their burgers aren't bad either. Even their Flathead is really tasty too, as well as their salads. 4.5/5 star.

Fresh fish and chips yummy salad too, we had fish cocktails and the salmon meals, cooked to perfection they didn't dissapoint

Food was good but chips and fish needs to be salted properly. Asked for extra chicken salt but got two pinches of salt.

Great atmosphere and customer service, typical old school fish n chip shop but food it's lacking in flavour and quality. Grilled fish it's really flavourless, coleslaw it's seasoned with some slimy bottled sauce which definitely doesn't help. Chips were good at least. There is better option just up the road

The seafood was very nice but don't know about these yellow chips, they looked weird I don't know if it they used different cooking oil, but it was a of a surprise to see yellow looking chips. They look ok in the photo but believe me they were lemon yellow. ‍️

If the focus is the food, this place is super worthy. It got heaps of local customers. Perhaps one of the best fish and chips in the eastern suburbs of Sydney.

For many years I’ve always enjoyed good fresh seafood and a nice clean shop with good customer service.

Came to Sydney for Easter and decided on this place for lunch on Good Friday, what a gr8 choice by us, the food was magnificent and very well priced, expected to pay more but the staff, and there was a few of them worked together like a fine oiled machine, very impressive well done everyone

Always cooked fresh and quick service.
Definitely recommend the gilled baby octopus! Nice salads too!

Excellent quality and great priced good old fashioned fish and chips. Friendly staff. Eat in or take away.

Best fish out in the eastern suburbs, the calamari hits different (good), and the nicest staff ever. I 100% recommend
