In March I moved into an apartment further down Macquarie St, when the scale of the COVID-19 pandemic was becoming apparent. I’d also just been diagnosed with a complex disease, on top of an existing disease for which I needed hard-to-source medication. RuthAnn and Tien were exceptional in listening to my situation, tracking down a supplier, and being so empathic. They are not only knowledgeable about mainstream pharmaceuticals but also functional medicines and advised me well on which would be most effective. I totally trust their advice: no sales pitch at all. After five months I am now moving to another suburb, out of town, but I will call by to get my prescriptions filled when I’m in town because I have never experienced such warmth, expertise and helpfulness from a pharmacy before. They are a treasure in these times.

The staff here are incredibly professional, and very friendly. Ruthanne was knowledgable and thorough, and her customer service is one of the best I have ever had at any pharmacy. You are made to feel welcome and all of your questions and concerns are answered genuinely, I feel that my wellbeing is a priority here. I would highly recommend this pharmacy.

*Only detraction, that small footprint-can get a bit squishy if more than 2 customers at a time.

This pharmacy is amazing. After searching for a solution to my breastfeeding problem (inability to have letdowns due to being induced) I was able to obtain oxytocin nasal spray here which worked like magic. I live in Hobart and the staff were incredible at express posting my script and doing anything possible to help. Cannot thank you all enough

Best service I've experienced from a pharmacy. I went to buy my medication yesterday, while at the same time feeling unwell. The pharmacist herself, Ruthanne was extremely accommodating ans helpful. She even gave me tips how to stay healthy and boost my immune system. She was very friendly and was genuinely concerned about how I was feeling yesterday. She treats all customers with respect and greets them with a beautiful smile.

Ruth and her team can't do enough to help their customers. Highly recommend if you are after advice and proper care.

I've never said this before, but Ruthanne literally changed my life. I suffered from what I thought was intense lactose intolerance my whole life, she gave me a very specific probiotic and solved what as a 20+yr stomach issue. Thanks from the bottom of my heart.

I cannot rate this place highly enough. AMAZING. They provided excellent advice, helped problem-solve a difficult issue (I was on a work trip and the urgent medication I was prescribed wasn't available in Sydney) and even offered to ring my doctor. Because of their help I was able to get an equivalent medication. They bent over backwards for me, even giving me a place to lie down after taking the medication. I am traveling internationally and was able to see a doctor online that prescribed me an antibiotic. Macquarie Street Pharmacy is AMAZING. The prescription was for sent incorrectly and they worked with the doctor to resolve and get me taken care of. Most places would have left me to figure it out alone. I would recommend this pharmacy ANYTIME!

Ruthanne truly goes above and beyond for her customers as she did for me over the past few days when sourcing precious vaccines and handing them over insulated in a cooler carry bag and ice pack to ensure they would reach a refrigerated destination safely. Staff from assistants, to young pharmacists to the senior on-duty pharmacist are unfailingly friendly and attentive. A few months ago they listened to my problem and ordered a Breastfeeding Probiotic for my daughter which couldn’t be found anywhere else in Sydney. Today I got detailed, caring attention and information for a Probiotic to help with colic, gut health and sleeplessness in my 12 month old grandson. This pharmacy is Old School in the very best sense of the word - holistic, caring experience with the latest scientific and pharmaceutical research.
