LILYMU reviews
46"I had really been looking forward to a great dining experience and Lilymu exceeded all expectations. Amazing and interesting dishes. Delicious cocktails and the staff are friendly and engaging. We will be back! "
Incredible food, cocktails and service. Every dish was a hit, and highly recomend the "weird" cocktails (Thai chilli one and the five spice one).
Very disappointed, spent $144 for the 2 of us and could have had a better meal at a food court for $20. I can’t believe they charged us $5 per person for tap water. 5 dishes of food came out instantly and we had eaten and were done in 15 mins, terrible dining experience, might be good if it was maccas. The food was overloaded with salt you’ll be taking a 2nd mortgage to afford all the water you’ll be drinking. Avoid this place.
Tried the banquet menu. Probably recommend picking your own items. Entrees were really good. Mains ok. Will be back to try again.
By far one of the best food experiences in Sydney right now. We travelled out from the city to try this and so impressed. The best dish is the fried prawn sandwich had two orders and forgot to photograph it I was in love with the food
The wine list is good and priced across a range so available for everyone
We will definitely see them on Best Restaurants of Australia
Food here was amazing! My favourite dish was the kingfish ceviche. The flavours of the food taste authentic. I loved the coconut dessert too. Service was good and staff were super friendly and attentive. Definitely worth a visit.
Good atmosphere, great cocktails, great service. Very interesting take on modern Asian in Parramatta.
The bread with the pipis is youtiao (get it)
Very happy with the food and service!
There flavours were explosive! Extremely on point! Beautiful place and atmosphere. Perfect balance of the right kind of lights and music. Will be back for sure.
Everything we ordered was absolutely delicious. Lovely customer service. The cocktail I got was so yum- highly recommend the 'chow sour'.
I would 1000% tell everyone to visit this sensational place at least one time in their life. From the moment we walked in, it was just service upon service. Well done to everyone at this establishment. Gold star to the chef's involved deliciously seasoned food. Wow
The seafood was very fresh. I like the white wine and desert the best. We enjoyed everything we had.
Excellent service from beginning to the end. I could not fault the food. It was delicious and yummy but serving was not generous enough for two. Also a bit pricey.
We tried Lilymu for my birthday dinner couple of weeks ago. Overall very disappointing.
• the service;
- I asked what ‘nahm jim jaew’ was like to the waitress. She didn’t seem to really know and ended up saying ‘you know the umami taste? ’
- as soon as we ate or even before finishing really, they took away plates without asking. I had to stop them couple of times.
- while typing the amount of tips, the waitress was staring at the numbers behind us, which was very awkward.
• the food
- After reading many reviews complaining about the small portions and also from their recommendation to order 6 dishes between us, we ordered 4 appetizers and two mains.
Cheviche, tom yam dumpling, lamb ribs, fried quail & wagyu beef, roasted duck.
- they were mostly good, we specially enjoyed the roasted duck. The sauce was great with rice.
- Fried quail; the batter was too thick and overall tasteless.
- Wagyu beef; way too chewy and the sauce was too strong.
- The portions was more than enough, we didnt need to order 6 after all.
Overall, we left very full but disappointed. It’s overpriced (over $300) for what we had and the service was very amateur. Wouldn’t come back.
The food was decent. I made a reservation for my friends birthday and I requested a candle on the dessert but when the dessert came out there wasn’t a candle. Kinda disappointing.
Hmmm worst dining experience, they have like 5 options as main/sharing menu, and we had to choose 4 because we had a group of 6, plus surcharge on Sundays! Plus you don’t get the authentic Asian taste, feels like a white guy trying to make white guy fried rice, no ‘wok hey’ taste at all, very bad, plus branding is misleading, feels Japanese fusion but is in fact super south East Asian!
Amazing! One of the best Asian fusion restaurants I’ve visited. The atmosphere, the staff and oh the food. All just so perfect. The staff are unbelievably good - friendly, attentive and know the menu so damn well. Take their recommendations and trust them. The cocktails are equally amazing. The menu, wow. It’s all just amazing. Tasty, presented so well and quick! Did I mention delicious? Highly recommend going in a bigger group so you can taste more of the amazing dishes. Try them all! Every single one is just divine. We loved the lamb ribs and wagyu steak. The kingfish is also a stand out. Just try them all haha.highly recommend!
Friendly, courteous, and very attentive service;
Great ambience;
Delicious, beautifully-presented food. We shared multiple dishes from all sections of the menu between the five of us and that worked pretty well to be able to try a lot of their dishes. My favourite is the Tom yum’ prawn dumplings.
I personally am glad to have these restaurants serving Asian dishes in a classy way so they're much more pricier than your normal Asian restaurant. We paid a bit over $320 for mostly food.
They have a very extensive drinks menu, too, so that must have been why they don't allow BYO, but in saying that, not allowing BYO is a bit disappointing and that costed them a star for me.
Amazing food and even better service. Staff were so friendly and attentive! My husband and I went for an early dinner at 615pm and the food arrived shortly after ordering and staff went over and beyond!
Highly recommend!
What a refreshing experience for asian halal cuisine in Sydney. Loved the restaurant, the service and the food. It truly was a wonderful dining evening for us. Thank you!
This is one of the best contemporary chinese and south east asian restaurant I've been to. I literally cannot fault anything. The service was outstanding as the staff were friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. The food was full of flavour and was cooked to absolute perfection. The cocktails reminded me of my trip to Cambodia and Thailand. It was an amazing eating experience. I would definitely recommend making a reservation at Lilymu to anyone coming to Parramatta. I will be going again. Thanks:)
