Lane Cove Aquatic Leisure Centre reviews
69A well managed, recently renovated, with all the necessary amenities for a aquatic centre. A nice Gym, indoor playing area for children, spa, dry and wet sauna, although a bit small, two indoor lap pools for training and a big decent outdoor lap pool with a big spectator sitting area and some green area suitable for family picnic. The staff are very friendly. A small nice café with a good range of selections.
A great pool. However two issues. The first
is that the outside showers are too hot in summer. The pool is quite warm as it is,
and the showers even warmer. Can they be turned down a few degrees? And then back up in winter.
The other issue is that if the 50m pool is closed for a carnival, this should be documented on the website. Twice in this past fortnight I have gone to the pool to find a notice indicating that the 50m pool is closed. A waste of time necessitating my return 3 hours later.
My boys love it here, their swim classes are excellent with excellent instructors and the fun swims and play in the casual pool is just an added highlight! It's a fantastic center.
Been here a couple of times. The reception staff is very rude and there's no customer service at all. I was here today and the pool is closed due to winter hours. I enquired about the new hours and the woman simply tapped on the desk and pointed to the new timetable. Not talking to the customer at all.
Best swimming pool for all ages. Shame that two times week day we visit. Hot pool is closed. But we do enjoy our time with our kids and learn to swim school.
Front desk staff member who was on duty on 14.05.2021 around 5.15 pm (short haired lady) was unfriendly and not helpul.
Didnt show any interest in helping out with the situation. A little bit if enthusiasm would hqve being nice!
Good centre, it's a shame people seem to think chairs are for bags and equipment. Management need to address this.
Chairs are for humans not bags!
When I was a younger I used to stay until they closed and late at night cockroaches used to come out of the garden in the indoor pool. Sometimes they'd fall in the water and one time when I showered when I got home a baby roach fell out of swimmers.
Pools are good and water temp nice all year. Would be nice if they spent some money on change rooms. Broken locks for several months and only 1 hook per shower. Obviously maintenance man in on long service leave.
The newly renovated swimming pool looks nice and refreshing.
However, the way the entry fee is priced is interesting: for a under 5 yr old to get in one has to pay adult rate of $8.7, despite the website says it's free. I thought i was going to pay just the spectator fee $3.5. Suggested ACCC maybe should be looking at the misleading price information.
The staff is very friendly and helpful, and offer a lot of advice and suggestions regarding customer needs. Facilities are clean and the coaches are professional and offer a balance of different types of workout. Highly recommended for both general facilities and the classes!
I hadn't been hear for about 10 years and was amazed how much kids pool space there was now. It was busy on Saturday morning, but still room to play. Much better than Pymble pool
The new outdoor pool is a winner! There is also a nice patch of grass you can sunbake or eat your lunch on. But be warned dont go during school holidays!
Great leisure centre. Great the 50m pool. Better heating will be good in winter. 25m pool gets very crowded in the weekday evenings with squad.
I have been here many times now, it's great for younger kids, my 19 month old always has a great time. The facilities are excellent, and the staff are always very friendly, even the cafe has nice coffee.
I really enjoy the FX30 classes and the gym has everything you need. The pools look impressive but never used them. The only negative aspect here is super slow replies if you ever email them. Weeks rather than days.
Well run and not too busy. The outdoor pool is heated, so great even in colder rainier weather. The swim lessons have excellent instructors. My kids love the space.
As an avid swimmer, I can proclaim that the outdoor 50-metre swimming pool at LCAC, is one of the best in Sydney. It rivals the one under Sydney Harbour Bridge, and the rock pool next to Bondi Beach. Yet, it is nowhere as busy as the afore-mentioned ones. It is clean and well-maintained. A hidden secret in the north shore for a great lap-swimming session.
The blue fit management are letting the bathrooms fall into disrepair. It is very disappointing after being managed well by council.
I prefer to go to Ryde Aquatic centre instead.
My daughter has swimming lessons here and she had improved so much since coming here. They take the time to come up and tell you what your child is working on
