I've moved around countless rental places and Laing+Simmons Double Bay is the best real estate agency I've ever encountered.
I went to the first inspection, Rebecca Eastwood was so helpful. She welcomed me and listened carefully to what I was looking for and suggested different properties within my desirable areas. I decided to sign the lease with them not only because the property was well maintained but also their professionalism.
My lovely property managers, Danielle Hartshorne and Alexandra Drakulic. What can I say? They were always there for me when I needed something. As we all know, during the pandemic, things weren't pretty but they made me feel like I was the most important person and helped me settle well in the property.
If you are so sick and tired of your irresponsible and unprofessional real estate agencies, check out Laing+Simmons Double Bay! They are bloody AMAZING!
For anyone looking for first class service with a property manager, I highly recommend Belinda Halliday at Laing & Simmons Double Bay. During the year she was our property manager she was always so helpful, professional and reliable and she goes above and beyond to help.
Danielle Hartshorne is a Property Manager who goes above and beyond. When I have had complications with a tenant she was very proactive and saw the many challenges we faced through until conclusion. I would recommend Danielle to anyone looking for a proactive and effective Property Manager who takes accountability to get the job done.

Danielle and the team at LSDB have managed my property for the past 8+ years. They have been amazing to work with, treating the property like they were the owners. Can’t ask for better than that.
Just wish they told us that there was an ongoing homicide investigation on the Cooper St property before we moved in, rather than being told by the neighbour, on the moving day, of the whole drama for a broken window that was not fixed before we moved in (broken glasses on the kids bedroom floor that we had to clean ourselves). This was followed by leaks on the roof window, which as tenants we had to chase the suppliers ourselves and coordinate the fixes ourselves which took weeks and weeks!
Laing and Simmons Double Bay have been our agents from purchase to tenancy over the past 6 years. Steven on purchase was commendable and fully responsive. Toni equally.
Recently we had some difficulties with our apartment. And special mention to Tamara Garro and Rebecca Eastwood who over period of 4 months over Christmas 2020 helped us resolve the problems. They were highly professional, excellent and prompt communication, willing to respond off hours, and were as committed as I was to find a solution. There are still some loose ends and I am convinced I will have the continued support.
I highly endorse and recommend this agency and especially Belinda Halliday, Rebecca and Tamara to manage your property.

Penny R is a star property manager at Laing & Simmons Double Bay. I have been with previous managers at L&S at Double Bay but Penny is the most impressive one I have worked with to date at this agency - responsive, efficient and highly reliable with a lovely personal touch with both tenants and landlords.
Penny was our Property Manager for our investment apartment, which we recently sold. Although the selling agent was not Laing & Simmons, Penny still maintained a great attitude and professionalism, whilst she continued to support us throughout the sales process - from coordinating inspections with the competitor sales agent, organising the wrap-up steps of our outgoing tenant, and assisting with all subsequent queries the selling agent had. Given it was held as an investment for us, time was of the essence so our sales campaign needed efficient action when necessary and prompt communication. Penny didn't disappoint! A view also echoed by our selling agent.
The first time I engaged with this agency, didn't take long before I got a frustrated response to my enquiry. Second time was worse than the first. Spoke to a principal, who was very rude, impatient and condescending. As an investor and having engaged with many agencies, the worst service I had can't compare to this. They got some good property options but the attitude is just awful, and coming from a supposed leader in the firm, just shows how little they care about clients.
Very disappointing experience with this real estate. Not only are they unprofessional and unresponsive, they have actually blatantly lied and been caught out being dishonest on several occasions. They do not act in the best interest of their client. I would not use this real estate to lease my property.
Penny is fantastic to work with, super responsive. Even fixed coordinated fixing a broken window on Easter weekend for us.
We've had 5-6 times we've asked Penny and team for help over the last year, they've responded within 12 hours every time.
Worst property management ever! Do not set foot in this place! Never return calls, always unavailable, no idea who is actually looking after my property, high staff turnover, rude and self-important. Whoever is in charged should be embarrassed to run such a terrible company. Happy to take your money but that's about it.
Just wanted to say a huge thankyou to our property manager, Penny Racchi. Penny was always professional and very prompt with response. She was a pleasure to deal with. Being in Real Estate myself, I know how hard the last few months have been but she was very helpful throughout our tenancy.
Excellent sales and property agents. Steven Zoellner gives honest, accurate and timely advice. He actually listens to you and is willing to invest time in you to build a lasting relationship. He works tirelessly. Who else but Steven would do an inspection at 10pm at night with the vendors in pijamas just because that was the only time we had? Toni Atkinson is fantastic, very efficient and prompt as our property manager. Julie Rogers is also great to work with. We highly recommend them.
As an investor I would not recommend Laing and Simmons Double Bay as a property manager. While I was rentvesting, I took up a lease at Elizabeth Bay through L+S. They have been extremely unreliable when I reported issues with my rented unit; ignored my service requests; passed my contact details to 3rd party trades people without my consent. When I provided them with feedback, they will blame it on their other staff, showing little accountability as an agency as a whole.
At my end of lease, Evelyn Daoud tried to find multiple ways to take money out of my bond. The biggest joke was $100 because the balcony doors were allegedly dirty on the outside.
If you do choose L+S Double Bay to manage your property, be ready for them to piss good tenants off, high turnover of tenants and for your property to be mismanaged and deteriorate.
