If you are going to move with this company be aware they change the dates for your delivery.

I booked a move from Adelaide to Canberra with Kent. My uplift was booked for the 3rd of January and Delivery was booked for the 19th. The week our things were supposed to be delivered they changed the date by 10 days to the 29th. Because of this I am not going to have access to my work resources before I start work (not to mention I now have to continue camping out in an apartment for almost another 2 weeks).

I would give them a 0 if possible!

We had a great pack and uplift experience with Alex and his team over the past two days. Our stuff will be in storage for two years so we’ll wait and see how things go at the downlift, but the communication, planning and Alex’s endless energy were appreciated today.

Called in to inquire about rates, but the lady who called back was unprofessional and impolite from the get go. That's a cross off my list in dealing with people/companies who do not appreciate the opportunity to do business.

The uplift and delivery teams were very good and I have no issue with Kent. This was one of my better removals I have had - I was informed and updated when required and did not have to chase for any information. The Kent service has greatly improved since the last time I have used them. I also found Kent to be value for money.

AVOID AVOID AVOID

Not only did they break several items.

They only take partial responsibility for the things that were under insurance and I say partial because it has been almost a month WITHOUT a positive response.

The dining table was destroyed, fragile items broken.

They deviated everything to the insurance company saying that Kent is not taking care of this anymore.

They are not answering my calls, emails, etc.

THERE IS NO EMPATHY, the insurance claim team treated as badly and rude.

I submitted all of this to the ACCC and I'm ready to take them to court because we are obviously not the first ones to deal with it.

** ABSOLUTE DISASTER **
We had booked with these guys thinking they would take care of our stuff well. I was totally wrong. We also have opted for premium insurance as some of the furniture was expensive.
1. They did not load the stuff in the container well. A 500L fridge was sitting on the 65 inch TV.
2. Sent only one person to download the furniture of two bedroom house. This has caused more time and some times he couldn't handle the items carefully. Not his mistake, but the people's who loaded the items.
3. Broke the dining table, tall boy and chipped TV unit and TV base itself.

Kent has transferred the case to the insurance provider said they no more responsible.

I would never suggest Kent to anyone.

I chose Kent from a recommendation and am glad I did, as the team at Kent offered an amazing service for my intestate move. They had clear communication: they outlined the timeline & my options, checked in to see how the move was going and we’re in regular contact before, during and after the move to see if I needed anything, had questions or if there was anything I needed further assistance with. They packed with care and no items were damaged during the move. Kent showed a level of care with their work that are a credit to them. No hesitation in recommending, thank you.

Very poor experience with the accounts people left me feeling that they were holding my belongings to ransom. On a positive note, the people that packed an unpacked my stuff were great.

Had a 3 bedroom house uplift and put into storage for 12 months. Very happy with the service and would highly recommend Kent without hesitation.

Kent managed my move, the cat and dog flying as well, the car move and all during the very trying Covid conditions including border closure. The entire team from Nathan in the ACT to Ruth in Sydney, the fabulous James and David who packed me up and to the team in Brisbane who unpacked for me.everyone was fantastic to deal with and nothing was an issue! Thank you all so much for all you did to get me home to my family.

Terrible moving experience with Kent. They are so unprofessional that they didn't bring their own tools to my place and asked for pens and tape. They wanted to put tape on my furniture. I seriously told them that they couldn't do it because that it would be damage the furniture but they did it anyway when I wasn’t watching them.

They asked us waiting at my new place 8th morning time 8 am, they will do moving between 8am to 930am. I put off of my other work and waited they coming. Morning time they called and said that they cannot come on time, will delay that to 10am. However they came at almost 4: 30PM! I waited them whole day and called them twice during the day. The first call was not answered by them, and did not reply. For the second phone call, customer service said that the truck breakdown caused the delivery would be from 2: 00 pm to 4: 00 pm, but the result is that they arrived at almost 4: 30 pm.

We thanked the movers’ hard work and that sorry for the truck broke down. But the two movers said that the truck had NOT broken down, that it was a ten-minute drive from the warehouse to our apartment, and that the failure to arrive on time was due to their improper arrangements.

Finally, my partner and I got our furniture and stuff, BUT A LOT OF DAMAGES ️️️️️

We're repeat customers with Kent Removalists and this time round, they didn't disappoint. From the initial phone call, to the quote, to uplift, and finally delivery, it couldn't have gone more smoothly. The team who arrived to do the uplift were amazing, arriving on time and getting the job done expertly, professionally and courteously. Moving is pretty stressful anyway, and we were relocating to Perth from Canberra, in our 70's, in a pandemic! But a smooth transition from start to finish sure did help. I would highly recommend KENT REMOVALS to anyone considering a move, either locally or Interstate

I used them for removal, local storage, then delivery to my new home, paying a relatively premium price for over 18 months AND insurance on top of that.

On delivery they broke two things that were worth anything or actually meant something to me - my UHD TV worth $1300, and a large framed poster that had been a gift for my 40th worth around $1200 - and then of course they point blank refused to provide any reimbursement. The TV has to be damaged externally - regardless of the fact it no longer produces a picture - for them to pay up, and the glass replacement on the frame was $60 less than the $500 excess and was met with the line "therefore we are unable to review your claim".

I now have to pay over a grand for a new TV and pay just under $500 for glass repair on the frame all out of my own pocket, regardless of paying thousands for their substandard service AND their non-responsive insurance over the last 18 months.

And to be so dismissive about it, taking no ownership for the damage they had done. Trust me - shop around. Don't use Kent.

My partner organised her interstate removals with Kent removals at the start of the year. The whole experience has been horrible, with it still not been resolved and it is now march!

During the delivery they lost 2 boxes and 1 chair, we also got delivered an extra box which they took over a week to pick up. We were told they would search for the missing items and would let us know in the week coming if anything was found. We are still waiting for a call.

Horror experience.
I used this company to move a typical moderate sized apartment in central Canberra to a house in a suburb 10 minutes away. Nothing special, easy access, contacted a month in advance. Price was extremely expensive (more than $2000)

Quote included dismantle and rebuild furniture and positioning boxes and furniture. Removalists declined to do that.

Some scuff marks on my walls. Only took me half a day to buff them out

Quote included 3 guys. One turned up late and had strange behaviour, then left before they were even half way through.

I WILL NEVER USE KENT AGAIN.

Used a false name for personal safety.
