Just Screw It

The building and carpentry work was done to a professional standard. Extra work was undertaken to the deck, due to previous woodwork whereby the timber had rotted. Ben and Bradley were two of the nicest tradesmen we have had in about 10 years. They were happy to answer any questions and turn music down when asked. They seemed to appreciate the work provided by us.
I will return to Just Screw It for any future carpentry needs, and will request Ben and Brad to do the work.
Michael stayed late on the Saturday when the other two left earlier.

Could not be happier with the work recently completed by the Just Screw It team. They helped make our bunch of ideas a reality. The team listed to what we wanted but also made great suggestions that improved the end result. They took the hassle out of co-ordinating other trades like electrician and joiner by arranging that for us. Everything was completed on time and budget. Will be sure to use them again.

Rhys had some great ideas for my garden makeover. Rhys and his team were great. After a few different issues, they were sorted.

JSI is a very professional building company. I called JSI to work out a solution for significant issues with my brick/concrete supports under my front veranda. Within hours Chad called me. A day later he came to my home/assessed the problem/ advised me what needed to be done. I received a scope of works and costings the same day. Within a week we agreed to proceed. The very experienced JSI team arrived on the agreed start date and knew exactly what to do, kept me informed, cleaned up at each end of day. They did a magic job. I am very pleased with results.

Just Screw It recently completed a project at my house, they initially sent an estimate/quote, but this was pointless as actual costs amounted to 30% over the initial quote and well over the high end indication with no warning during the repairs or an explanation afterwards. They just send an invoice and demand payment. When you ask for an explanation, the Director of the company contacts you and becomes threatening and abusive.

They charge by the hour irrespective of any estimate which I understand, but that covers them for dragging out the job, charging for rectification works due to initial repairs being done poorly (their own trade even highlighted this) and carrying out work not in the estimate.

The trade teams try their best, and do a decent job if regularly monitored. The director on the other hand is unhelpful, threatening, unprofessional and abusive. I feel I received poor value, disorganised scheduling and unnecessary stress during the project, which is why I would not recommend using this company.

We had an excellent experience and Jimmy made a difficult carpentry job look amazing. Well exceeded our expectations and such a relief to receive reliable and professional work. Thanks Jimmy!

The team at Just Screw It and Just Scape It are very professional. They finished our front yard to a very high standard and made practical recommendations throughout to make the most of the space in the style we love.

For ages we have had problems with large sliding doors at our house. Jimmy from Just Screw It was assigned to our job. He gets 5 out of 5 from us for a number of reasons. He was punctual, turning up at the agreed time and confirming with us on the morning of the job that he was on his way. He knew straight away what the problem was with our doors and proceeded to have all of them fixed within a few hours. He is clearly an experienced professional and a really nice guy to deal with too. We couldn’t be happier and wouldn’t hesitate recommending Jimmy to clients of Just Screw It (who we have used for other work and had the same excellent outcome).

My house had an exterior timber panel in need of repair due to dry rot; also a mesh rodent barrier that needed replacing. Scott did an excellent job, seeking out the right materials and working with skill and patience to complete the job. He communicated well, had an eye for detail, and was reliably on time. I recommend Just Screw It for building maintenance work.

I used the services of Rhys and team from Just Screw recently to transform my backyard from a dank, damp unused space to a beautiful courtyard. Having spoken to several Landscapers, I was impressed with Rhys' design ideas and the fact that he developed a 3D graphic of what it would look like. I was happy to wait for several months for a gap in his schedule, taking this as an indication that he was in demand! The quality of the team's work, their communication, attitude on site, tidiness and attention to detail were all excellent and I'm really delighted with the finished product. The work included soil excavation, installing new drainage and laying stone pavers / cobblestones with a mondo grass border.
Rhys' initial price estimate was accurate and his accounting for the costs completely transparent. I thoroughly recommend Rhys and the team.

The team from Just Screw It - Landscaping led by Rhys and Brad did a fantastic job of designing and building a really complicated job which included constructing steps to our garden through a big concrete retaining wall and finishing of the steps with tiles to a high standard. They also made our entrance to our house more attractive by tiling the area as well as constructing a tiled pathway to the back of our house. We will continue to use Just Screw It - Landscaping for more landscaping projects to improve the appearance of our Inner West Sydney home.

Doors literally do not close and door handle not fitted correctly (Just Screw It, if you’re reading this we have photo evidence). Tradie was unprofessional (again, we have this on video if you’d like to keep denying it) and spent more time on the phone and taking smoke breaks than working. Excessive time taken to install (was quoted 8hrs and was billed 16) and quality is far below standard. On the third day he was here for 10mins and billed for 2hrs!

Flagged my concerns on excessive time and poor quality both during and after the job and was either ignored or aggressively shut down. When I pushed back looking for resolution and clarity on the excessive invoice I was told to pay my invoice by COB or they’d charge me additional admin and late fees (I was still had 4 days left by the invoice terms).
Refused to take my calls to discuss and we’re now left with over $2k spent and doors that require remediation. Horrible experience

My complaints were ignored during and after the job. You then billed me for your quote that was reflective of 2 jobs where only 1 proceeded and tried to charge me twice for disposal of the doors. The quote stipulates 8hrs for the doors- billing for 16hrs is insanity. There was no “above and beyond”, the work is barely adequate- he literally turned up without a screw driver, left the house open for >2hrs without doors in the rain, put the doors on bowed and stripped screws. The doors are unusable. I discontinued discussion with you as you became aggressive in your emails, refused my calls and I was overall uncomfortable with having your company in my home. Photos and video of the work have been sent through.

You may as well just organise all the trades yourself rather than going through this company. The project management is poor, communication is non existent at times and the whole project blew out by several months. Honestly, one of my worst building experiences. The trades were good but majority sub contracted and had to come out several times due to the project being poorly managed. It would have been easier to run all the trades myself.

Rhys and Brad of the Just Clip It crew did an amazing job of our new sandstone and cottage garden front yard along with an impressive green wall out the back.

Extremely high quality, solved minor problems as they arose and combined their expertise with attention to what we wanted from the project.

Couldn't be happier.

Initially the scope of the job was to do some paving, build a pergola, install some lattice and create empty garden beds for me to plant into. But as the work progressed I was impressed with the team and valued their input on what I was trying to achieve. So I asked them to help select, source and plant the the plants and then install an irrigation system.

They were able to schedule in the extra work and I couldn't be happier with the result.

They gave me estimates on all the work before starting, responded promptly when I texted, turned up on time, cleaned up afterwards and generally did what they said they would do.

The quality of their work is variable, depending on which subcontractor they use for the task. They have left our verandah roof with leaks in it, and I've been chasing for over 7 months for a repair. It's been a wet summer so a lot of water has been coming through. The painting contractor they used for us was incredibly dishonest and did an extremely poor preparation job. I had to get several external tradies in for remediation of various aspects of the job.

Tried to get a quote on floor repairs/replacement. Response was arrogant and rude. Wouldn't recommend

Rhys King and his team from the landscaping vertical of this business, Just Clip It, transformed the exterior of my house in Sydney's Inner West. I think it's fair to say that it used to be a jungle. It had a huge pond that was badly positioned and meant that no one could use our garden except for the mosquitoes, fish and frogs.

The end result is an open, leafy expanse of outdoor space that has really transformed our experience of living in this house.

And we were able to rehome the fish and frogs!

Rhys and his team were exceptionally professional. The quotes were detailed and transparent, and they endeavoured to save money where possible, for example, by salvaging pieces of old sandstone from the garden that they recut to reduce the amount of new sandstone that we had to order.

He also happily accommodated a few significant changes to the plans made on the fly.

I would be very glad to recommend Rhys for landscaping design and construction.
