Joan Sutherland Performing Arts Centre reviews
27I had a great time here working here as part of the work experience! The staff here were extremely nice and helped me out throughout the week. The performance was amazing as well, I would have paid the full price for them if I were not working here. Thank you for providing me with such great opportunity
Creedence Clearwater show was fantastic from start to end. The cover band had everyone singing the loved songs of CC.
Attended local schools Performing Arts Festival.
Great facility, staff courteous and helpful. Good varied program by the schools. Enjoyable night.
Some neck from gallery seats. One would think they would be on an angle and raked. Kids were great. Sound was too loud but good. Lighting great.
Really good location to attend concerts! Ample free parking. Friendly and pleasant staffing. Good lighting and sound quality.
Experience very good this past weekend.
The Australian Romantic and Classical Orchestra in concert.
Confortable ambiance.
Only negative was not being given a glass for my canned beverage and then being expected to pour my own drink when I was given a glass.
I’ll be back.
Lovely venue, seating great so no issues with not being able to see what's happening on stage.
Our first visit was to see
The Tom Burlinson show
Very impressed by the venue, I commend the male usher on door 2, he never missed anyone that needed to leave I think he had eyes in the back of his head lol, he was immediately there with his torch and an arm for elderly to go down the stairs, I didn't need his help but thank you young man for those that did help
Myself and my children have been having piano, singing, guitar and bass guitar lessons there over the last decade. Their teachers are top level and the lessons are always planned by their teachers.
Realistically the cost is quite reasonable and performance opportunities are a part of each semester in the student concerts.
The place is beautiful and I always feel part of something larger than myself.
My children are growing into their skills and performing in school and the community.
When I watched them I felt an immense joy that inflated my lungs with breath and infused my body with new life, and I said to myself - " All the hard work I have done and everything I go without to pay their school fees and tuition fees are worth every bit. It doesnt even matter"
The Joan Sutherland performing arts centre, known as The Joan is an awesome example architecture, day or night.
Their Box Office is understaffed and way too slow.
A second staff member came out later, improving the very slow queuing. However, most of the problem was that people with pre-purchased online tickets had to queue at the box office to show their ticket to get a wrist band. It would be better to issue tickets that can be shown and recognised on smartphones, allowing most people to not need wristbands.
Easy to get to. Plenty of parking both outside and under cover in the shopping centre. Q theatre is an intimate setting, with ample room and stairs. I believe there is also a lift to get between floors. Staff pleasant and helpful.
Right next to food court of shopping centre - nice sushi.
Went to see a comedy show and have to mention how friendly the staff were! Person at the entrance checking tickets and person helping you find your seats were really kind and helpful, the bar staff were super bubbly and happy, person at the merch stand was amazing and even cracked a joke or two with them. It was overall a really pleasant experience:)
Nice theatre in Penrith. Has three stages.
We went to see Ross Noble live on stage. Laughed and laughed!
Being upgraded. Signage to toilets missing and hearing loop not usable. Was told a new Bluetooth system is to be installed.
The spooky men continue to entertain and delight. The repertoire included old favourites and new material. The four part harmonies were brilliant.the patter poked fun at themselves and the audience.an international audience would love it.
This place was a venue used by
Sydney Writers Festival for
Schools to bring the pupils to
listen to authors of childrens
books.
Kirly Saunders, a young,
attractive aboriginal woman, last
author to speak at the morning
session was mesmerizing as
she captivated the children's
attention with her hand actions,
bringing their attention back to
her when they were 'chatty'.
It must've been disappointing for
1 school that had to miss the
afternoon session due to the day
having school photos.
Great Venue for live show. I was lucky to buy the last 2 seats for the upcoming show the vallies as the show sold out so quickly!
Great place to watch live performances.
I have watched many musicals here and performances and all have been great!
The sound and lighting is good!
Bathrooms and a bar.
Great and easy to get to location!
Right next to the library and Penrith plaza.
Lots of parking!
Definitely recommend Joan Sutherland Centre!
