Manager wouldn’t refund a product which was faulty and didn’t perform the way it does in advertisements because she owns the product herself and is happy with the way hers performs even though she knows it’s not what’s advertised.taken this matter further

Unimpressed from the vigorous bag check and the way the door security requested for me to open each n every compartment for inspection. I feel it's unasasary with all the security measures in place.

Absolutely awesome customer service went in looking for a product and although it was discontinued they went above and beyond trying to help and am so thankful will definitely be back again. (side note) I think the name of the employee that helped me was josh and he definitely deserves a raise.

The staff weren't helpful at all.they referred me to a wrong place to fix my Samsung phone saying its in the plaza while it's ware somewhere else

We went to source a gaming pc for our son and were told that they had what we were after. After waiting roughly 20 mins the sales person said he'd help us. He then disappeared and returned about 5 mins later saying refer to our website and left to serve another person. Absolutely disgusted with the service.

Claudia, aka “Clad” is worth ALL the money!

What a fine young lady. She went above and beyond to serve and help with a highly specialised, (and much sought after) product. Clad took the initiative and made things happen, located the product and placed it on hold for me at checkout.

A refreshing occasion in retail to say the least. If “to surprise and delight the customer” is the retail mantra of today then Claudia managed to achieve this with style and effortlessness!

Lots of things to look at. Great selection of DVDs etc but not competitive in comparison to other retailers. Can be quite pricey.

Very busy always, usually packed waiting times can be expected here customer service here can be average at times from my experience, would rather driver an extra 10min and visit Jb hi fi in the super centre off mulgoa rd, friendly service with a smile there normally not as busy as the westfield store.

Very friendly and helpful staff. One staff member went out of his way to make sure we located what we wanted as they were out of stock, even called other stores to organise for us for other store to hold. Good prices. Lots to choose from.

JB Hi-Fi was established in the Melbourne suburb of Keilor East by John Barbuto in 1974. Barbuto sold the business in 1983 to Richard Bouris, David Rodd, and Peter Caserta, who expanded JB Hi-Fi into a chain of ten stores in Melbourne and Sydney turning over $150 million by 2000, when they sold the majority of their holding to private equity. It was subsequently floated on the ASX in October 2003.

As of August 2018, JB Hi-Fi is ranked as the equal 7th largest consumer electronics and home appliance retailer in the world.

Acquisitions

In July 2004, JB Hi-Fi bought 70% of the Clive Anthonys chain in Queensland.

On 13 December 2006, JB Hi-Fi acquired the Hill and Stewart chain of 11 electronics stores selling and operating in New Zealand for NZ$17.5 million (A$15.3 million).  JB Hi-Fi later established stores under their own JB Hi-Fi brand, and closed all Hill and Stewart stores in 2010.

In September 2016, JB Hi-Fi announced its acquisition of The Good Guys, for $870 million, the acquisition resulted in JB Hi-Fi group enlarging its share of the Australian home appliances retail market to 29% and growing its share of the consumer electronics retail market to 24%.

Had to go to JB to get my new Telstra phone, they were AWESOME, very helpful, and great service.

Never had a bad experience with the store! Staff are helpful and try their best.
Location is convenient, lower level of the main shopping centre right above the parking.

Waited 45 minutes for someone to serve me. Asked staff in other sections multiple times if I could have assistance in the Small Kitchen Appliances section, they put a call out each time. 45 minutes on, still no service.

Normally I receive great service here, maybe next time will be different. 45 minutes is unacceptable though. I’ll be taking my business elsewhere.

For Shannon and Samantha: I came in to refund an Altise brand fan and they guided my through the process with integrity and friendly professionalism. Luckily, my fan was within warranty and I received a refund (in the form of a gift card). Very happy! Well done Shannon and Samantha!

We had an issue occur with a faulty product out of warranty. The staff in this store matched every other experience I have had across all JB HIFI stores. They were lovely to deal with, resolved my issue, and I walked away a happy customer, ready to return and spend more another day, as well as sing their praises.
