Hyperactive Gym Byron Bay / Social Remedy

I hit up this gym in Byron, thinking it'd be a haven for gains, but oh boy, it was more like an ego battleground. The vibe was all about flexing muscles, not friendships. Witnessed a dude trying to throw down instead of lifting weights. If you're into drama over dumbbells, this is your spot.

Shoutout to the one ray of sunshine in that ego-infested gym – a young kid with stellar customer service. Seriously, a beautiful soul in the midst of all the muscle madness. Kudos to them for keeping it real amidst the chaos. Also it was $25 for a casual visit and it does get really hot fans only no AC.

Amazing gym, fantastic service I would highly recommend it. Reception super helpful. 24 access which is amazing. Great value for such a great gym!

My first experience assisting consistently to a gym and my experience has been Cloud 9. The staff has a great attitude, always willing to help you. Also the trainers are friendly and make you feel welcome. I had and will highly recommend this wellness place to everyone.

I have been going to this gym before they changed the name and not only I been treated like a second class person the entire time I was there every time they had class or a trainer is training another person you aren’t really important anymore because you don’t pay the same amount not only that the service is no were close to a proper service I work in Woolworths in Byron Bay and I always give best attitude towards others but the way I was treated today I hope no one will be in the situation again. Your responding tells me that you don’t understand about service much not only that I don’t spend much of my behaviour on people who don’t worth it if you want to lie and say that was the case then you fail yet again with nothing to back your story. Also still shame you haven’t sent mail to all members about the parking area that isn’t allowed to park anymore so others won’t get parking tickets.

Best massage I ever had. Jacqui was amazing, loved the atmosphere and the option to head into the sauna afterwards. Perfection!

It’s taken me 2 years to find the perfect fit for me to commit to sign up to a gym! I’ve found my place - amazing classes! I love the Yoga and wellness options and the B3 classes. Awesome and welcoming trainers. I love it here ️️

Was in town for a week, got a 3 visit recovery pass which gets you access to steam, sauna, ice baths. Super luxe set up and facilities and very friendly and welcoming staff, ill be back!

Just discovered this gem of a gym. Good facilities, can't wait to try out the ice baths and sauna. I'll also have a crack at some classes and report back, but so far I am loving it.

I told them I was going overseas 3 weeks in advance. They kept charging me and charging me more for ‘dishonest payment’.

My emails and instagram messages were ignored for over a week.
Then it took me 12 more emails back and forth, mainly from my part, hassling them to refund my money (over $220)

They suggested me to cancel as I would ‘owe’ them still on their accounts and couldn’t access the gym upon return because of that.

When I agreed to cancel, they told me
They had to take $88 cancellation fee off the money they owed ME. Even though none of this was my fault.

After nearly 8 weeks of emailing, I had to be really rude to be able to get the remaining money reimbursed.

Absolutely appalling treatment after 2 years of being a member. I properly feel taken advantage of.

Best gym. Sophisticated and got everything I need! Wish there was one like this in Sydney!

Loni will give you a work out that I thought Pilates could never come close to. Incredible teacher an absolute asset to the gym.

The gym offers classes with really good qualified teachers. The owner seems to be very focused in improving the space. There are a special room only for women. I like the equipments and I often do pilates, yoga and boxing classes. Big claps to Kristal, Brooke, Sam and Loni. Kristal is my muse, she is always so attentive to me and so inspiring. Such a great professional! She is always helping me with postures, exercises and all other movements. Brooke and Loni are so kind and also so attentive to me (as I am healing my posture and my elbows), always helping me to correct the pilates postures. Sam is great too, her classes always bring us to other realms. Definately, this gym is way better than what I could possibly imagine and I highly recommend it! Thanks

New owners added massive charges to my fees. Tried to cancel. All my emails ignored. No one answered the phone or returns calls. Continue to charge me although I cannot train for to long covid. Seem to have a policy of ignore cancellations and keep charging you as long as they can. Would stay well away. Very unfriendly from the start

Great gym! Great staff, especially the little Courts at the front desk! Great selection of classes! New renovations are very exciting too. Membership price is in the budget which is fab! Social remedy all the way

Been training at this gym for nearly 2 years and I love the environment. The staff are absolutely incredible. Courtney and Kristal are the most welcoming and helpful staff. Benny as a trainer goes above and beyond to help his clients meet their training goals. Great equipment and atmosphere. Won’t be leaving.

Staff are super friendly, attentive and helpful.
The gym is also in immaculate condition daily, no unracked weights ECT.

Social Remedy is an awesome gym! The classes are great and the trainers are all super friendly and knowledgeable. Couldn’t recommend it enough
