27 Massively over staffed, yet they all seem to be busy doing nothing!
I can count 9 staff at present 7 of which aren't doing anything and still I've been waiting 25 minutes to open a new bank account
This isn't normally the case with other HSBC's around the world, so disappointing!
I would avoid this bank at all cost.
They have no understanding customers need to discharge loans in order to settle within a certain time-frame. After being told everything is fine and a day before settlement they send an email saying further forms are in the post which held up the process. On receiving the forms they were previously filled out forms. The “relationship” manager has closed communication (i.e. Just doesn’t respond). Some HSBC employees do try but it seems the incompetence comes at a higher level. I have
never come across anything like this when dealing with any bank. HSBC takes the cake.it would be hard to believe any bank could be worse. I can’t wait to move my business away from this train wreck.
Worst banking experience ever! No ones knows how to do anything, in branch, over the phone or online.
Save yourselves and just don't bank with HSBC unless you absolutely have to!
This is actually the worst bank in Australia. Simple issues cannot be solved. The staff, including phone operators are incompetent. Not that it's their fault, it just shows poor leadership and management from higher up. No way am I trusting you with my money if you can't run the basics!
It was well after lunch and out of the many counters, only 2 were attended. Just to make a simple deposit took me closer to an hour.

Friendly service by the teller, however, they are a bit slow completing your request. To close my accounts with HSBC, it took them over 30 minutes. There were three tellers and all were occupied by the same people (including myself) upwards of 10 minutes. Luckily there were no other customers waiting.
