Hills Bros Cafe reviews
44Awful service. Was only table not given water. Ignored multiple times by staff members as they were too busy chatting with coworkers.
Consistently good coffee and generally friendly staff. Take away usually quite quick. Appreciate the Dutch/Flemish barista’s clear call-outs! Some seating available good for a short catch-up but can get noisy with all the hard surfaces.
The brown rice congee was legend, really perfect combo with the cappuccino.
Last but not least pastries so damn gooooddd
It’s in the foyer of a building. Good for a coffee and quick bite. Not your sit and chill cafe.
A cafe tucked away at 5 Martin Place, espresso was very nice, good strong hit. Beans from Reuben Hills. Highly recommended for coffee hit.
I can’t go past the hills bowl - I’m sure there are lots of other good things on the menu but it’s my fave…
Excellent coffee, friendly service and a good spot to work for a short time. Don't expect it to be quiet. It's a buzzy spot
They are awesome! Good customer service, very friendly staff. Mornings are quite busy. I frequently have coffee there when I am working in the Martin place it's always perfect
Haven't visited for a while and it seems the congee was still on the menu, so I had to order it.
Brings back good memories since it was really good back then. Food and service were good and staff were friendly.
Sat outside since it was a nice day.
Best coffee in Sydney, highly recommend. The food is great staff are friendly.
Has become my regular spot.
Seating is available outside which is good when there's sunshine.
Coffee is nice, for me it wasn't quite warm enough but still tasty. They use Ruben Hills beans. Odd you don't get a spoon with the coffee.
They do however serve a cookie with their coffee. Great for most but if you're coeliac / gluten free diet just ask for it not to be there so your cup / lid isn't contaminated.
Staff are helpful and friendly.
Staff are always friendly. Have a great selection even during these slow times. Actually have accessible hand sanitiser and do amazing work. Bravo.
Love coming here. The food & coffee are fantastic & the stellar customer service keeps me coming back.
Fantasic place with lovely, dedicated staff. Ignore the previous review from Lewis; He was quite rude and disrespectful to the staff and management. I witnessed the interaction with him and the staff; He decided to sit at the cafe's outdoor tables and eat some food he bought elsewhere.
He was politely reminded that the seats are for Hills Bros customers only, and that they also needed to abide by social distancing guidelines. He rudely snapped at the waitress, thinking that him scanning a QR code made entitled to sit there. Lewis then began to whine and when a manager reminded him of the rules, he threw a tantrum and then left a negative review
This place is great. The staff are friendly and hard working. The owner is a cool guy and ready to look after you. The menu is solid and I would recommend the bacon and egg roll or the avocado on toast.
The coffee is from Reuben Hills 9/10
It’s one of the best cafes in Sydney’s CBD. Do make sure you check this one out. Ask for Daniel.
Tried the brown rice congee
Nice mix of texture and flavour
Reasonable serving size
$16 price is a bit high though
The food is amazing and the coffee never drops it's standards. Great place to hold a casual meeting. One of the best cafe's in the city.
Came here a few times whilst on holiday in Sydney. Loved the place and decor. Very friendly and attentative staff. My evergreen order were the french toast and the sour cherry bread. Portions are substential and filling, perfect before heading to Bondi for surfing. Missing this place.
Had a latte, nice and balanced. Notes of honey and bakers chocolate.
No immediately obvious food menu. Easy place to stop by on a Saturday morning for a quick coffee fix
Best coffee in the centre of the city by far! Food is exceptional especially the Hills Bowl. The French Toast comes a close 2nd. This is a perfect place to have a quiet meeting.
