Helm Bar & Bistro reviews
63They have a coffee machine but don't supply sugar, the barman offered me sugar syrup. Then the person making the cold coffee found the sugar, drink prices are ok, the view is good, no access for wheel chairs, food a little greasy. I'd go back. Not too soon
Clean and modern venue with expansive views of darling harbour and pyrmont bridge. Decent beer and wine selection with a tasty menu. Not cheap nor expensive. Great for groups or just a midweek lunch. Book ahead for weekend lunch or dinner
A lovely place to people watch on a sunny Sunday. Food is always good and with Pure Blonde on tap what more could you want?
Great place to meet friends and enjoy some casual food and drinks whilst enjoying the views of Darling Harbour/Cockles Bay.
Cold Staff! Not bothered to even clean the table before offering us the same. When requested gave us looks. Not going back!
Best bar in Darling Harbour enjoy spending afternoon here. Grab cold beer or wine and just chill.so relaxing.
A great spot for lunch after visiting the aquarium. Nice views from the upstairs balcony. Friendly and helpful staff. Great menu with a variety of foods. Lunch was very tasty and very quick to be served.
Good location, reasonable selection of beers, chicken schnitty burger was really good - love the peri peri sauce.
Just a joint - bar staff were fine and views are ok but the security dudes can make you feel unwelcome with their lack of personality
Great venue for a group lunch. Awesome location. Food is not bad and comes out quickly. I would be happy to go back.
Friendly service and reasonable prices considering its touristy location however particularly average food. Suggest 2.5 stars (if that were possible).
Helm Bar has a security team that don’t hesitate to throw anyone out at any time. If you want a night out where you don’t fear aggressive security, then avoid Helm Bar.
Great food, quick service, beautiful breeze. Good alternative to eating at the aquarium right next door.
Had a dinner there and sat on the alfresco dining section of the cafe. Ambience was good and you get good views of the harbour. Food was decent and at a really reasonable price. Just that there weren't waiters/waitresses walking around and everything was pretty much self service. There were some seagulls that were eyeing on our meal but there were bouncers (not too sure their actual role) to chase them away. I recommend trying the fish and chips. Their oysters are not too bad too.
Relaxed atmosphere. Decent amount of beer and Spirit Options. Will need to come back earlier for the food!
Conveniently located next Pyrmont Bridge close to the harbour's edge. A nice, open air bar on the ground floor with another large bar area on the first floor. This latter can be very noisy, especially on Friday and Saturday nights when it becomes Party Central for large groups of young party-goers.
A spectacular view, convenient to everything in Darling Harbour with reasonably priced tasty food. I'm a cider drinker and they have Bulmers on tap. Definitely worth trying.
Great pizza. Good place yo visit inbeyween showi g out of towners around Darling Harbour and Barangeroo.
The location is good but unfortunately the staff was rude and unhelpful. Food was ok, portions were on the smaller side.
If you do not want families to come with their kids, then it may be best not to display a kids menu upfront (we did not bother anyone).
