Nathan and the team at Head Academy provide a professional and fun learning experience for children. Nathan is incredibly knowledge and is able to share his expertise in such a way that it cuts through with school aged children. A great place to develop skills, have fun and learn about kung fu. Highly recommended!

Our son has been attending Head Academy for over 3 years and we are really happy with all of the teachers, the facilities and the genuine care and consideration they have for the children. We will be coming forever it is an exceptional facility.

My boys have been doing Kung Fu at Caringbah for the past 3 years and they love attending. They missed the weekly classes during Covid.
The sessions teach the children such important skills such as focus and attention, memory, respect and mostly are lots of fun.

My daughter has been attending Head Academy Kung Fu in Caringbah for 9 years now and has progressed to Junior Black Sash. My daughter loves attending Kung Fu, and it’s the one extra curricular activity which she happily attends each week without complaint. The instructors are all fantastic and are patient with the students.

My two daughters have been doing Kung Fu at Head Academy Caringbah for many months now.
They feel very happy and comfortable going to each training with a rare exception of a very lazy day:).
Nathan, Joveline and the rest of their team are providing the kids with lots of support and care. It feels like one big happy family.
That is not to say though that training sessions are too easy. At least one of the coaches, Leo, pushes my daughter just enough to understand she can always do better and harder. She loves his honesty and no-nonsense approach. Kudos to Leo.
I am sure the other coaches are great judging by the quality and the focus of the training sessions, but I have not picked up all of their names yet.

My favorite part of my kids' Kung Fu is when they come back home exhausted and feel a slightly sore the day after:).

Great place to learn and very friendly and patient staff. Suitable for all ages and fitness levels. They have helped me improve a lot and it is a great stress relief to kick things)

Highly recommend Jowgar at Caringbah. My 9 year old daughter has been attending for nearly 6 months and is beginning to demonstrate the physical and mental strengths that she is learning into her every day life. An excellent experience for her that is teaching her the benefits to be really confident in herself.

My three kids have been training for nearly 5 years and absolutely love it. Not only does it teach them Kung Fu but also several self defense techniques. Done in an environment that is fun, inclusive, varied and exciting whilst still being true to the practice. The team of instructors are patient and enthusiastic but also firm when need be. Cant recommend it enough!

Learning Kung Fu at Head Academy has been one of the most important parts of my life since starting to train 8 years ago. The traditional Jow Gar system and excellent teaching from the team of dedicated instructors has not only improved my skill as a martial artist, but has also introduced skills that will benefit my health for years to come.

Our two kids aged 9 (Boy) and 6 (Girl) love attending Kung Fu each week. The teachers work so well with them, bringing confidence and mindfulness as well as focussing their energy into something positive and self reflective. We love the verbal discussions they have with the kids to deal with conflict situations and feel this gives them much needed tools to deal with life ahead. Watching martial arts movies growing up I've always wanted to learn one of the many arts out there, I've tried many different styles over the years but none of them I ever really liked. I walked into Head Academy at Caringbah a few years ago knowing that I've always loved kung fu over any other martial arts. From the start everyone made me feel very welcome, the training they provide is not just about kicking and punching, it is an ego free environment providing training for the mind and body, every session you'll learn something new which will leave you smiling ear to ear when you leave. My strength and fitness levels have increased since joining, there are so many benefits to learning martial arts and with the instructors lead by Sifu Nathan Head leading the charge, you will not find a better environment to learn.

The classes at Head Academy deliver a traditional Kung Fu curriculum which teaches self defence in an easy to learn yet exciting way, whilst also getting loads of fitness and conditioning. You are also guided through a complete warm up and stretching program each class which teaches you how to look after your own body outside of Kung Fu.

As someone who has grown up around Head Academy for many years, I can truly say it has been a life changing journey. Starting as a child, Sifu Nathan has taught me how to become not only a better martial artist, but a better person, one that I have always aspired to be growing up.

Myself and my two sons train at Head Academy and have done so for the last 3-5 years. We absolutely love it.

My sons initially wanted to join because their friends were doing it, but I quickly saw why I want them to continue learning Kung Fu at Head Academy, particularly into their teenage years. The instructors are such wonderful role models for the students, teaching them in a fun yet disciplined way. Also, they have to earn their stars and sashes based on their best efforts over time, which teaches them patience and diligence.

For myself, I love learning Kung Fu here because when I walk in the door I think of nothing else but what I am doing in that moment. I train with a great bunch of people and I love the sense of community that is generated here. I am also learning meditation and qigong with Sifu Nathan which I am incorporating into my daily life. I am the fittest I have ever been which seems so incidental from the classes - they are that enjoyable!
