25Absolutely could not fault HBI for there work and communication through this whole insurance ordeal.
It was so amazing to work with Ashley and then later Marty as they were so organised, precise and always kept us informed on progress of claim. Highly recommend HBI as partner with NRMA Claims Department.
All builders, roofers, Solar businesses both roof and hot water systems very professional and considerate.
Minor problem with matching paint, however we provided our small amount that did assist. Understand totally what matching paint is like. He discussed it with my husband and very apologetic.
Unfortunately when roof was replaced the Foxtel dish was removed and returned however didn't line up with satellite dish so had Foxtel Technician come and set up. Ashley has approved payment for this call out.
The worst company I've had to deal with EVER. Started in 2018 when they were assigned to rebuild our house, with floors and a new bathroom. They completely stuffed it up, was nothing like the scope suggested. After complaining to the Insurance company, they dumped HBI and paid us out to completely rebuild HBI's rebuild bathroom. Now, we have had issues with the flooring they have laid. After they came back and did a report re our house, they have told the insurance company that "we have a granny flat and are surrounded by 2 canals! ". This is totally false, we do not own a granny flat nor are we surrounded by 2 canals. There are at least another 11 falsehoods in this report by them, including blaming us for not having our flooring up to building code - when they were the ones that laid it! STAY CLEAR of these people - they are TERRIBLE, and fabricate reports.

Completely unprofessional. I was entitled to a refund I had to involve the ACCC and I have several unresponded to emails and was left on hold on the phone for literally hours. I was disgusted by how unprofessional the service was.

Thanks HBI for sending Jeff Clarke out to inspect the repair work that was carried out by another company. Jeff explained what the likely problem was but also wanted to rule out there wasn't any issue with our roof and organised for the roof to also be inspected. I only wish you guys did the original repair work. If in the future we need to claim on insurance I will be requesting HBI, so easy to deal with, extremely thorough and very professional and prompt.

Been waiting since 3rd March for HBI to quote. Been a very distressing time. Now insurance company gave them the go ahead and same unresponsive behaviour from HBI. Insurance company gave go ahead on 19th September. HBI took a week to send documents. Now another week and half gone by, HBI told insurers I haven't sent documents back or paid excess. Just lies to keep wasting time, and wont respond.
Jeff Clarke arrived at my property to assess some storm damage. He arrived at scheduled time, was polite, thorough and explained the process to me so that I understood what to expect with repairs. I feel confident that he will follow through with recommendations. Thankyou Jeff and hbi Australia.

I received a call from HBI the same day that I called my insurance company regarding the insurance claim and an appointment was set up for 2 days later on a Friday, for an assessor to come and look at the damage. The assessor, Jeff, arrived on time and was a very nice young man and he explained the whole process to me. I received an email from him on the Monday stating that he had submitted the Assessment Report & Scope of Works to my insurer. I am extremely happy with the service I received.
Excellent, on-time, well-prepared and researched. Professional and knowledgeable on relevant issues and able to clearly explain details and observations. I understand the process from here. A good experience overall.
Excellent service from HBI Australia in regard to repair of damage to my house filling the October 2022 Hail Storm. The initial claim was dealt with swiftly and inspections were quickly carried out. I was very happy with the assessors and the way they treated my claim application. I could not fault any of the trades involved in carrying out repair work. All were efficient and cooperative in fitting their schedules in with mine. Many of the tradies went beyond what I expected them to do so they produced a high quality repair job. When spare parts could not be obtained, the whole item was replaced or a whole area repainted.
Both NRMA and HBI kept in constant contact with me to ensure I was fully informed and happy with each repair task. Thank you HBI and all the tradesmen for an excellent job in repairing the hail damage in a very efficient and professional manner.

Very soon after I lodged my claim, HBI sent someone out to make my house safe. That was done that day and water no longer entered the living room. Not long after Julie from HBI made phone contact. She was professional and easy to talk to. Their were a number of hiccups with tradesmen not turning up but that had nothing to do with HBI. Julie organised replacement tradies straight after and all their work was of a high standard. In some cases the end result was that the repairs were better than what it was like before the hail. I'd like to make special mention of my HBI phone contact Julie. We spoke dozens of times so that she could keep me up to date with every aspect of our claim. I always felt that everything was under control. HBI should be very happy to have her as an employee.
