Harvey Norman Bondi Junction reviews
75I used to run a successful retail business and recognise good retail service when it is experienced. The servcie I was provided with today when purchasing an electronic item was outstanding.
I tried JB Hifi first but the staff there is not too keen to help. Tried Harvey Norman instead and after I explained what I wanted, the seller showed me different options and prons and cons of each, exactly what you need in places like this
I had the best experience whilst shopping for a coffee machine. Sandra, the South American sales rep, was fantastic. Such a contrast to the nespresso boutique saleswoman at the nespresso store. If I could tip a saleswoman, I would've. 10/10
STAY AWAY FROM HARVEY NORMAN!
Last year I bought an Acer Aspire 5 laptop from Harvey Norman Bondi. I spent nearly $1000, plus extra $100 for Product Care (I fell for their sales pitch).
Over the following year I had a number of minor issues, like shocking battery life, unreliable charging port, a key that came loose, then fell off completely, and eventually it became more serious when the screen turned stark bright, and stopped working altogether.
But hey, since I had the Product Care with such a reputable retailer, I was sure I’d be looked after. Well, I couldn’t be more wrong. Btw, they outsource product care to some unknown company, which couldn’t care less how satisfied you are with their service. No affiliation with HN whatsoever. They told me that the screen was physically damaged (bul!), that I must’ve pulled the key out on purpose (what? !?), and basically every other issue must be my fault. So no repair, no refund, nothing! I tried to involve Fair Trading to no avail.
Eventually I decided to sell the laptop for parts. I then discovered that the original 8GB RAM has been swapped for 4GB! Shame on you Harvey Norman!
Bottom line, if you’re planning to buy a pricey device from HN, think again! Or prey there won’t be any
Deals are great, the best is that, the sales assistants are hi honest anx helpful once you get hold of them.
Highly rude customer service from Ken who served me at vacuum dept. He tapped my credit card while I'm still asking questions. I wanted to use gift card but he rejected transaction saying he's got other customers waiting. No way I'm going back there.
Thanks for addressing my issues with my Pixel 4a 5G cases return. The return customer service staff went above and beyond to fix my issue.
Giving a 5 stars but read this below.
Much appreciated as the Harvey Norman Online service truly did not do anything for me. Also why create a chatbot to handle issues if you won't address them in a timely manner (one day is not - Typically respond instantly) or even simply provide a returning process. Very frustrating.
Go back to the drawing board with your chatbot architecture or just disable it.it does more harm than good.
Point proven, humans are better.
Love this store so helpful Dione from vacuums and fridge Harvey Norman from supa centre Kim Erin great help
Worst customer service I have ever experienced. Avoid this store if you are looking for knowledgable and respectful staff, especially if you are a woman. I fought for 2 months to get a refund for a faulty phone, I bought a new one somehwere else and it is now working perfectly.
Service was born here. I can only say that I have never had better service than from salesman Khoo at Bondi Junction store. This guy told me a phone for my son would come in the next day. I paid for the phone, and Khoo guided me through the best deal and the easiest way forward with Optus. Then when I rang to enquire at the store as it was his day off, Khoo went to Alexandria, picked up the phone and brought it to the store. On his day off.
I have never met a salesman like him.
Thankyou Khoo for coming to Australia with your family.and Thankyou Harvey Norman Bondi for your amazing longtime best prices and service.
This is a real review and I live nearby in Sydney
Accidentally bought the wrong model soundbar. Returned it unused on the same day and was charged a $140 "restocking fee". Safer to just shop at JB.
Not myself personally but my brother walked into the store after receiving a phone call to collect his headphones that were ready. He approached the counter wearing a mask to be told by female assistant behind counter "I'm not serving you". My brother remained calm and asked to speak with the manager, a manager come to speak with my brother his response was "I'm not serving you either ". Another staff member had no difficulty in giving my brother his headphones. I am at a loss to explain this other than my Brother is clearly wearing very obvious Aboriginal clothing
Asking for a refund here due to a faulty product is like asking for someones first born child! Rude, unhelpful and argumentative. Will never return.
Buy your tech from anywhere but here, their returns policy is to send a product back to the manufacturer and wait for it to be repaired, you'd be better off ordering directly from the manufacturer so you can get a quicker turnaround on repair but honestly any other tech store will just refund it or exchange it for you.
Competitive prices and the customer service is excellent!
Viviane Lacerda is very helpful and knowledgeable.
I recommend the store.
It’s soooooo bad like seriously. I ordered a SMEG Blender and it broke down twice for replacement. The last time for the replacement, it took 6 months to resolve the issue. They told me they’d give me a call after the replacement was ready however after hearing no word for a couple months I called in to ask about it only to hear from them that they didn’t have it ready after going through 5 people on the telephone. They told me they’d have it ready in a week and call me when it’s ready however again they just left me hanging for another month, this happened for 6 months straight numerous amounts of times, having to call them every time and go through a few people to speak to the last person who would tell me a new excuse every time. The last excuse being told they don’t sell the brand that I’d bought. Utterly disappointing and over the experience with Harvey Norman. If you don’t want the hassle then I definitely don’t recommend.
Worst customer service! Took back a Nintendo switch that was not working. Discussed what needed to be done and provided all details on email and was told to drop off item at the store. Went to store and they still made me wait 20 minutes to book it in. No other customer there and had more than 5 staff there walking around. When pressed to please hurry the process as I didn't want to be out longer than needed in this lock down the staff started arguing with me. Telling me it is going to take as long as it needs to not that he'll try and help checkout what's taking so long. Then he proceeds to threaten me to just take back the device and come back another day! What's the bloody point of communicating via email to get all details and that it should just be drop off? JB Hifi previously would have just gotten me to drop it off and get a refund. Harvey Norman not only cannot get their process right but expose their customer to risk longer than they need to and then argues with them! Won't be shopping there again!
Went to JB HiFi to buy a pair of Apple Earphones for my son ended up walking out, the most attention I got there was from the security guy at the door!
Walked into Harvey Norman and the service was amazing straight away.
From the moment I approached the
Counter, a lovely guy told me what area to go to and organised for a staff member to help me. A lovely young girl called Ailleen helped me, explained everything about the difference in the prices, what the features were and offered me a warranty incase anything went wrong, and then took me over to the service area, I was very impressed. Jerry Harvey should be very happy with he’s Bondi Junction team. I won’t be going back to JB HiFi
Went to the Bondi Junction store and asked for Bluetooth headphones compatible with my new Sony TV. First guy took a phone call and passed me onto someone else. Second guy without even asking me the model said there isn’t any! Wow. Walked downstairs to JB HiFi, got great service and purchased a $400 set of headphones.
Service is hopeless when you do buy something from them they always try to upsell things like warranty but it's been my experience, that it's very hard for that extra warranty to be honoured by them, they always find a reason to invalidate it.
