A wonderful piece of history. Excellent working machinery and engineering and a wonderful way to spend the morning. Very helpful volunteer staff that are full of information. Highly recommended.

A beautiul place for a wedding, mid Autumn when the leaves are turning, the grass is lush green and the surrounds are colorfully magical. My wedding day at Goulburn waterworks on 24th of April was a dream.

This is an amazing historical site to behold in Goulburn, set on the banks of the picturesque Wollondilly River at Marsden Weir. We were greeted with a friendly volunteer and it was great to get to know more about the history of this place!

We were told they run the pump a few times a year so you can get the opportunity to see it in running order as well. There is also a nice picnic area onsite by the water.

Waterside is so peaceful and beautiful, you could canoe or stand up paddle board or i assume fish. Not recommended or safe for swimming.

Open on weekends and daily during school holidays. This historic site houses a largest operating steam engined pump in Australia.

No booking is required and admission is by donation.

The pump will only operate on "Steaming Days"

The site also has a BBQ and children playing equipments and perfect place for fishing. However the site closes at 4pm sharp.

A very interesting piece of history here, in a beautiful setting on the water and surrounding gardens. Brian gave us a very informative tour and my kids enjoyed seeing all the old machinery and artefacts from that time, such as the giant spanners. Well worth the visit if you are in Goulburn.

Picturesque setting on the river, very helpful volunteer staff, working steam engines, and thoughtful displays. The self guided tour leaflet was informative. Disabled access allowed viewing of much of the site. Also the tea room hss good facilities.

If planning a visit make sure you go on a day when they have the engines steamed up and running. The two large engines are just magnificent to see working. Not sure of too many other places in Australia where you can see a 1883 Appleby Beam Engine in full working order. Quite an impressive sight!

Fantastic historic preserved and working machinery. Well preserved buildings. Well presented.
This is a historic industrial site. No ramps. Not much safety. Adequate parking

Scenery, great. Picnic facilities. Interesting old buildings. Playground for the kids. Live steam pump engine. There's even a dump point for your caravan. What more could you need or want. A bike track? It's under construction.
