We are so happy with our build. 5 br, 4 bath, media room. No easy feat but, freedom homes delivered everything we envisaged. Brad our builder had incredible insight as to what we wanted to achieve. He listened and gave great feedback and advice. Brad loved the house as much as we do. Excellent communication throughout the build with all Freedom Homes staff. Big thank you to Kylie, who is really on the ball. We loved having Brads wife visit us with Brad. Incredibly thoughtful lovely person who was always willing to assist with small details like hanging paintings, mopping, cleaning (so appreciative). I can’t thank you enough. And I can’t say enough about the end result. A beautifully built country property that started out as a dream and freedom homes made it a reality. Thank you.

We have recently completed our build with Freedom Homes. We had such a fantastic experience and would highly recommend them! From the initial planning stage to the finishing details. Our dealings with all staff be it sales, administrative and the supervision of the site was such an easy and enjoyable process. We had Brad as our site supervisor. Nothing was ever a problem for him, he was professional, approachable and always accommodating (to our never ending requests and questions). He would go above and beyond our expectations and we truly couldn’t have asked for a better experience. Our dream home speaks volumes of the design and quality of build and is a real testament to Brad and his team!

DODGY BUILDER – STAY AWAY FROM THEM
It came to my attention that our supervisor (Brad) carrying out different type of works with his wife on our under construction house instead of professional workers. She has worked multiple days on the site on multiple task (measuring gyprock to be cut, sanding gyprock, taking and packing up insulation material, cleaning the site just to name a few) with no licence/certification not to mention she doesn’t even wear appropriate safety equipment and she only wears flip flops. No wonder why we have uncountable defects (many of them structural defects, doesn’t comply with Building Code of Australia, they have their own interpretation of the NSW Standards and tolerances) on the house and we haven’t even reached the practical completion stage yet.
I’ve raised my concerns to the general manager (Adrian). Instead of apologizing or a promise that he will investigate it he decided to ignore my concern and only sent an email to my partner to remind him that he is the person Freedom Homes willing to communicate.

We had our House completed 7 1/2 years ago, from the day of completion we have had trouble getting them back for general maintenance repairs, the front room got flooded after the first real rain event, all gutters were installed level so they overflow and no weep holes were installed on the front wall so all the water came inside. We were promised that the carpet would be replaced and the gutter would be fixed, now the front gutter has fallen off the house, we have render falling off and cracking all around the outside of the house.
We have been reporting this from the start and the only response we get now is that it is out of warranty, yes I should have pushed more from the start but we were led through lies.
If you are considering building with freedom expect to do a lot of maintenance after you finish the build as 7 1/2 years is a short time to have gutters and render falling off around the house and they don't want to know about it!
If you sill decide to build with Freedom, Record every conversation and document everything as they will change to cheaper products through the build and you won't see the difference they will promise to fix things and will lead you on and not fix a thing.

Very unhappy, we have a lot of problems with our house. The toilet systems were installed wrong, the solar system had to be replaced we have holes in our sliding doors where they left nails in the walls, you can see inside the walls around our power points in the brick walls and the ceiling in the garage collapsed and I could go on and on but what's the point. I would never use them again

Customised home where the customer is always wrong! We are greatly disappointed and instead of going through all our issues as there are too many to go through. The photo speaks for itself on how Freedom homes delivered our house. One of the Barn Door has an architrave the other two do not and as you can see in the photo no privacy.it is now a month that we have reported and are yet to see some action. Our son would love to come from Sydney to spend time with us but we cannot while the bathroom/Toilet has no privacy.

I have read all the reviews and decided to contact Freedom Homes to give them a chance for a substantial build, but I have been very disappointed at the lack of communication before even getting to the face to face contact stage as there is only one salesperson that you can deal with. I work on call and cannot book appointments in advance and found them to be inflexible. It appears they have enough work and aren't interested. I had contacted them about the lack of return communication and worried that if we did proceed through them and issues arise through the project then we would not get the required response that everyone else appears to have received.

Working with Freedom Homes was an absolute pleasure. The communication throughout the process from Chris was excellent. We were kept informed of everything from start to finish and felt like we were in safe hands. We are thrilled with the end result, our house is beautiful.

We are thrilled with our new Freedom Home! The team at Freedom Homes work at such a high quality, and held such a high standard through out the build. From start to the finish nothing was to hard. Anything and everything had a 'Can do" spirit, which we loved. And they kept to the time frame of the build which also impressed us. The constant communication was the best, and was always received in a positive way. We like to be hands on involved in the build process, and there was always activity at the property each week, which was a huge encouragement seeing progress majority of the time. Everything in our build was custom designed, from our pool, kitchen, vanities, tiles, floors, pendants, to our own fixtures and finishings. Freedom Homes were happy for us to supply whatever we wanted, from where ever we wanted, if they couldn't. That is a huge bonus, when you like to have a house built to your style. We have recently built with Freedom Homes and could not of been happier. From sales consultant through to the builder and trades, Freedom Homes made the process of building stress free from start to finish. Nothing was ever too difficult and we were consulted at all time. Just spent our first night in our new home and it’s so good. The team at Freedom Homes worked with us really well, understanding our needs, putting forward ideas and willing to adapt. Freedom Homes sales manager was a sales manager/site supervisor in his previous role with another company. His lack of care and supervision led to a build that I would not wish on anyone. His lack of knowledge, his lack of communication has resulted in a large insurance claim, our house having to be substantially rebuilt and an a vow never to build a new home again. Thanks for ruining an experience that should have been a happy and exciting time.

If the sales manager from Freedom Homes would like to contact us to help us understand why we had the experience we had - consideration would be given and the review would be removed.

I recently completed a small development of two free standing houses with Freedom Homes (end of 2019) ; it was my first time using a builder (despite my previous experience in the building industry). I wanted to make sure that I could work with a building company I could trust, that was not only capable of building on a 'very tight' development site, but flexible in their approach. I needed a builder small enough to be willing to take on my boutique development and open to me doing some of the work, but big enough to have established systems and capacity to deliver. My examination of their production facility and offices convinced me of that e.g. They build their own steel frames in their factory, which was appealing to me.

Before choosing Freedom, I checked out houses they were currently constructing and the quality of the work seemed good. I approached a number of builders and Freedom was in the 'ballpark' on price. I wasn't after the cheapest quote, as I didn't want to sacrifice on quality. Equally important to me was that there was no BS which is unusual in an industry that doesn't always keep its promises - I didn't want to be sold to as another statistic, I wanted to be listened to and respected. I felt I got that from the people at Freedom.

I knew that the quality of the building work and my experience as a client would only be as good as the people supervising and co-ordinating it - this is where Freedom Homes truly shines. Chris (sales co-ordinator) and Steve (building supervisor) are a brilliant team to work with. They kept me informed throughout the whole process.

Right from the outset, I had confidence in Chris even prior to signing with them because he seemed like a person genuinely wanting to do the right thing by me. I also felt he responded honestly to some tough questions that I put to him about how things worked at Freedom Homes (sorry if I grilled you mate!), including previous customer experiences, how they resolve issues if they come up, their processes and procedures in general. Chris is a skilled listener and has a lot of empathy with people, which makes him a pleasure to work with. He was very helpful if I was a bit stressed about something and needed a bit of reassurance. Chris is the reason I initially signed on with Freedom Homes!

Steve is also fantastic! Not only does he have a very dry and wicked sense of humour, but he is a very experienced building supervisor. His upfront approach is very refreshing, and when the whip needed cracking to get things done, he was 'the man'. He was always more than happy to listen to my concerns or explain where things were up to which I appreciated. I count Steve and Chris as mates and hope to continue the friendship even now the building work is completed.

Our story possibly begins like many other people in the world of building a new home. Headaches with council and DA approval! The one thing that kept us sane through it all was engaging Freedom Homes. The project manager was always communicating where things were up to, the process was clear and easy to understand, they provided advice and guidance throughout the build and the quality was outstanding.
I have no hesitation in recommending this company. A special thank you to Adrian and Maddie who added the 'fun factor' to building our new home:)

An awesome experience from start to finish. Chris (Sales Manager) was a dream to work with. Chris provided us with incredible flexibility throughout the entire build process. Being an electrician, i was able to do all electrical work, which not only saved us money but allowed us to be onsite throughout the build. We could even provide our own PC items, something certain other project home builders would never allow. He was great in being up front with us about ideas we had that he thought would work or wouldn't or may not be practical in the long run.

Steve (Site Supervisor) is not only an experienced builder with years of knowledge, but he's a great bloke too! He was extremely thorough throughout our build and was always willing to answer our calls or go through any issue we had onsite. Nothing was a problem.

I wouldn't recommend any other builder in Newcastle other than Freedom Homes. They made building our dream home the most stress free and enjoyable experience we could hope for.

From first meeting it was apparent that we had made the right choice choosing Freedom as a builder. Excellent company to work with in all respects. Living in Sydney and building in Port Stephens was daunting as my wife and I could only attend the building site periodically. However, given Freedom Homes' advice, support, regular communication, attention to detail and the high quality of build our concerns were quickly replaced by our complete confidence in Freedom Homes.
