Awesome course for anyone interested in the food industry. Jamie and Catriona do such a fantastic job in creating a safe place for everyone to share their ideas, challenge themselves and grow.

I graduated FoodLab in 2019 as part of the first cohort. Since then, I have started my own Indigenous food business which is something i have always dreamed of but never thought possible - now it is a reality. FoodLab given me the confidence in myself again, business skills, mentors, digital skills that I was lost with beforehand. Thank you FoodLab for all your support.

FoodLab Sydney is a remarkable & diverse food-focussed course that is so worthwhile doing if you have any aspirations of getting into the 'business of Food'! The beauty of it is that you can come to it from any background, have a variety of different (food) ideas. & there were so many in my cohort of fellow students, & be aiming to create a wide range of food related/focussed business activity, all of which will be accepted (& facilitated to some degree, where possible.). There are good intentions here. A lot can be gleaned in terms of the nuts & bolts of running a food/related business, which can often be overlooked, or ignored, when you simply venture out with no experience &/or appropriate knowledge (I know this from my own experience!). However, above all it offers empowerment, especially in encouraging one to think beyond the limits of obstacles & perceived boundaries. Therefore I hope there will be many more 'food entrepreneurs' afforded the wonderful opportunity of doing this course in the future.

I'm currently studying with FoodLab Sydney and enjoying every minute of it! Together with 18 other students we make a diverse group, all with different food backgrounds and our own passions and interests. Every step of the way FoodLab has provided us with support and very comprehensive learning, tools and activities to further our knowledge of the food industry, everything from soil health to marketing hacks! Our facilitators are brilliant - they make the classes a lot of fun and always practical, encouraging us to put forward our own ideas and to share and learn from others. Additionally, we have access to mentors from different areas of the industry, providing us the opportunity to connect and learn valuable lessons from those who have 'been there, done that'. If you are considering FoodLab I would 100% encourage you to give it a go - the learning experiences and the people you will meet through FoodLab will certainly challenge and help you to grow in a positive way.
