Fantastic tour of the Royal Australian Flying Doctors facility at Broken Hill. We had a fantastic talk by one of the Flying Doctors that gave us great insight into what actually happens. Had a look into the current planes flying and those before. Very interesting and I would thoroughly recommend.

Very good, as I couldn't go inside owing to have had covid last week. Doctor was good and turned out to be Doctor who gave me the anti viral medicine.

Since so many attractions at Broken Hill close early (for a traveler from Sydney) ie 3.30 or 4 pm, we went to the RFDS center.
And I am so glad we did. As part of our guided tour we were shown 3 videos before our guide took us into the museum section for an explanation of the history and workings of the RFDS.
To finish off we went into the hangar to inspect the 3 plans on display.
I came away with a much greater appreciation of the service this a great organization provides for the people of Australia

The staff really rude was told off by tour guide, Louise told me to feel free to look around and entered museum, which had no sign or chain of it till she told me off for going into there even though she told me to look around as I was early for tour!
I don’t go on holidays for this and it has tarnished them for myself and my Christmas donation that I make every year is now going to the westpac rescue helicopter as I work along side them

Definitely an experience to learn and look at the wonderful work the Royal Flying Doctors Service do for outback Australia. An entry fee gets you a guided tour, well worth it. Souvenirs available. RFDS well worth supporting.

One of the best experiences in Broken Hill.

Knowledgeable and friendly guides and lots to see and hear.

They even spoke to us about our road trip plans and took the trouble to show us maps and check the off-road conditions. Thanks to them we spared ourselves the planned 150 km.over currently unsuitable dirt roads.

Thank you

The flying Doctor tour was so interesting. Russell was our tour guide and he covered all aspects of the services provided and the history. Regional Australia would not survive without this service. A lot to be proud of FDS!

Had an amazing time at RFDS broken hill base. An excellent tour and insight into how the RFDS has long provided care to some of the most remote Australian communities, and the challenges involved. Staff were lovely and lots of cool gifts in the store. A definite must do if you visit Broken Hill, and if you can spare to donate to this hard working organisation or buy something from the gift shop, your money goes a long way in helping this impressive organisation
