Five Dock Leisure Centre reviews
37Very good service but very expensive went to kick the ball around with my friends but everything was full
If you've been a member here, you know there's a great sense of community and support. They've done some upgrades to their health club and stadium, so the facilities are modern and clean. The staff are also attentive and more than willing to help.
Excellent sports centre and professionally run: : Organised, clean and great service. Healthy environment and everyone positive: : Unique.
Awesome people here and great service. Have been dealing with Derek, Phil and Nick - these guys do a great job all round and actually care about their customers.
Would give 2.5 Stars but it is not an option. The leisure centre has its good points and bad points.
If you are looking for staff who are attentive and are going to get back to you within a reasonable time frame this is not the place.
I have over the last 5 weeks asked several times to be put in touch with a personal trainer who can help me with sports specific training. Either that or to speak to the PT manager so they can point me in the right direction. Every time i call or pop in it is the same answer. The PT manager is not in so we will take your details and forward them on as the staff do not seem to know which pt specializes in what. Or here's the pt Managers email reach out yourself and see if he gets back to you.
Five weeks later and i am still without a response and frustrated. I am literally with cash in hand wishing to pay and get training. I have never been to a gym that would take such a lackadaisical approach to personal training or a paying client.
I even went in their yesterday (13/7/19) at 4pm to try and get some personal training sorted. To my frustration no one was attending the desk and their was just a sign saying someone would be their shortly. There was no time frame provided or at least an ETA as to when someone would be back.
The positive is the studio and it's facilities are current and up to date. Their is adequate equipment and everything is where it is supposed to be. The gym is cleaned on a regular basis and weights put away where they belong. I have also never found myself waiting 10 minutes for a piece of equipment or having to work in with anyone.
Cute gym with good equipment, helpful staff and a great gymnastics program! I like coming here because it's close to work.
Simply the best, most inclusive sports centre in town. Love the staff. They are kind and considerate. Thank you!
It's not just a gym, but a great community of friendly people. Every time you train, it's like training with friends. The staff are amazing and super friendly too.
Other than the fees increasing too regularly, it's a great place to train.
Great gym program here. Only thing letting this down is the lack of air conditioning as the fans don't cut it when it's 35+ degrees outside and the inside feels like it's 40+, especially for the parents on the mezzanine floor watching the kids in their gym lessons.
What an astonishing leisure centre! AAA+
Bathrooms are superb & the facility is top notch overall.
Great Futsal exercise!
I couldn't find further details about price and etc for the membership on the internet, and wanted to ask about it over the phone, instead of physically going there, but the male staff sounded so abrupt and made me feel like I was bothering him. He just said that I should go on the internet and look for it although there was no information about it on the website. Such a poor customer service from the start
Went there for sports, nothing that special, but it's a pretty big place and good to play sport.
Good place to play badminton/soccer/basket ball, or go to the gym. The stadium floors are maintained well and get refreshed every few years.
The prices have unfortunately been steadily increases over the years, but still remain competitive against the rest.
This is a great centre. They offer school holiday programs for very active children aged 5 and up. They also offer gymnastics, karate, basketball, indoor soccer, gym with childcare, etc. Ample parking.
I am generously giving a 3 star. I guess it is ok if you can’t find a place more convenient. My daughter goes to the gymnastics there and she enjoys, well more or less. But the place is completely insanely outdated. Just walk in and take a look at it yourself. The best feature is the automated sliding door. There is no air-conditioning, but couple of fans full of dusts blowing. No waiting area dedicated to the centre. Instead you can sit (not sure if you can) on uncomfortable cafe chairs. Prepare for a good sweat in hot days, even if you don’t exercise.
Had our daughter's birthday party (Gymnastics) here recently. Was fantastic. Kids had a ball, staff were great and catering (for adults and kids) was really good. Would definitely recommend.
