Five Dock Leisure Centre reviews
37 Have had some curiosity to check the gymnastic facilities however found it extremely challenging to organise with reception. It went beyond the point where I had any interest left to further explore the opportunities of training there in spite of the fact that I only live 2 min away.
Facilities might have been good but i didn’t have a chance to determine that and i do not go to places where i do not feel welcome.
$33 an hour for a badminton court on the weekends. The courts and changing rooms are very well maintained. The only problem is that they are not always available for booking. There are quite some events/competitions going on from time to time. Won't exactly say that it is crowded with people, but there are definitely plenty the few times I visited.
Open sky carpark at the entrance. Drinking machine in the corridor with the changing room. Friendly and helpful staff at the counter.
Large range of gym equipment, very spacious floor. Big changerooms. Friendly staff. Opens till late on weeknights but wished they closed even later.
I love this center. Have been sending my daughter to gymnastic class for 2.5 years, she loves it. Friendly staffs. I would recommend to anyone who want to send their children to gymnastic lesson.
I wish they waxed and polished the floors I'm the sports hall more often (if at all?) There is no literally no grip making it dangerous, and more tiring for sports that require a quick change of direction like basketball and badminton.
The lines for the basketball court is very confusing. Red baseline but white sidelines. The management should consider redoing it.
Such a lovely friendly family friendly vibe at this gym! Great rates too. They could do with a better booking system or app but i know theyre working on it and its to come. Thanks for getting me back into a gym and feeling confident after 10 years
This Innerwest leisure centre has an amazing gymnastics facility, with a basketball/futsal/netball courts (2). There are fitness classes you can do if your into that or do your own workout in the quiet gym area. The cafe is closed in the afternoon during the week. The place is packed during the weekend. Not much waiting facility available upstairs but enough chairs to go around if your in the cafe area downstairs.
In the mornings there’s a crèche available for children 6 weeks-6 years but call before to make sure there’s spots available and to find out the opening times.
During school holidays there are programs for the kids to do but speak to reception at the front or check the website because there’s different activities available. You’ll find some of the gym instructors are local so they can advise you with more information about what other leisure centres do differently or have.
Parking is usually available in the front otherwise more parking spaces are at the back, but follow through towards far end on your left as you drive around.
Cheers
A great centre for gymnastics and other physical fitness the Five Dock Leisure Centre features a lot of available parking for clientele. There are many classes for different age groups.
Did a week trial here, trying to get that bod back after having a covid baby lol.liked the classes and the variety, seemed very community based which is great! Easy booking system. Didnt really talk to any trainers, maybe because i always went to the late classes. Affordable and good value for money. I really like the fact they offer a creche for members. Clean and spacious facilities.
Not a bad place for badminton court access. Too bad the place is not very convenient to get to.
Love this place, facilities are great and my hoops basketball is the best I train the whole week and look forward to it. Recommend to any teen who's into sports.
Updated equipment in the gym, not a lot of open floor space for training/stretching if there are classes on
Thrive Dock Leisure Centre is just amazing. I have been coming here for 30 years for so many different sports and activities and it never fails me. Great well maintained and clean facilities, wonderful, helpful staff and a great easily accessible location with plenty of parking. 5 stars!
Awesome gymnastics facility. Wish they had a membership also for Adult gymnastics! Staff is great and the facilities are also really good. Much recommended.
The light in the badminton court is not very good, but the price is reasonable and cheaper than other place
Awesome staff who really looks after the facilities especially the courts. The cleaner there really cares for the courts.
So pleased to be back, and glad check in, social distancing and cleaning being taken seriously.
In the event that you've been a part here, you know there's an incredible feeling of network and backing. They've done a few moves up to their fitness center and arena, so the offices are present day and clean. The staff are additionally mindful and more than ready to help.
It was good, but if you are going to play futsal, ensure to bring a ladder with you. Yes, you did read it right.
