Fitness Playground Newtown

Lots of space and equipment in this gym, I can always get in and out quickly without having to wait long for equipment to become available, even during busy times. The staff are always really friendly and helpful too!

A big no for me. Wanted to try the 3 days free trial to know if the classes suits me. They got me in on a Saturday and they then tell me there’s no classes on Sunday and only one slot on Monday. So they expect me to sign up if you haven’t gone to trial? I’ve only attended one yoga. Will go to HIPE instead.

I had a bit of a frustrating experience with these guys last week but I've since received a call from them to discuss my complaint and Steph completely addressed my concerns and turned what was previously a poor review into a 5 star one. Before this I'd never had a bad thing to say about fitness playground and after the professional way they handled my complaint I'm happy to say that continues to be true. Thanks guys, love your work.

I highly recommend FP Newtown & Surry! The friendly and helpful personal trainers make it a comfortable environment to workout in. I was very impressed with the covid plans put in place during and post lockdown. Overall, it’s a positive, professional & community environment.

I like this gym quite a bit. But I the lack of appropriate cleaning materials and neither staff now patron keeping their distance disappoints me. Really rubbing alcohol and paper towels. Viraclean is 40 bucks for 5 liters, cheaper and more effective plus doesn't destroy the leatherette.

Had an unpleasant experience when trying to cancel a subscription. Long story, but reception staff just wouldn't admit their mistake.
Facilities are not ideal for group training, fully booked classes may have you end up in a spot where you can't see the instructor very well.

First gym I actually enjoy going too! I have had a strong hate for the gym most of my adult life, a real strong hate but! This gym gets me there 5-6 days a week I love the classes. All the trainers are amazing and even the people that go there are great. Thanks for all the encouragement!

After having all my belongings locked in a locker that i could not reopen on a sunday at midday, items in the locker included my wallet with all credit cards and cash, house keys, car keys with my car parked on the street just near the gym, i WAS NOT able to retrieve until 21 hours later! The facility had no backup emergency proceedings to deal with this issue and a second back answering system with was completely usless with rude workers who did not care and hung up on me. I then had to walk home in the rain, it was only lucky i had not lived by myself so was still ABLE to get back inside my own house!

After returning to the gym this morning, i was then told to settle down by the membership consultation that actually signed me, as she also did not care nor want to listen to me.

I will be CANCELLING my membership and taking my business BACK to FITNESS FIRST.

The lack of care was very disconcerting. A complete usless system with usless staff and usless procedures.

Great gym with lots of equipment and really good varied classes at times to suite. Nice and BIG so it doesn't feel crowded. Friendly staff and lovely manager:) would definitely recommend!

I highly recommend Navin. He helped me strengthen my shoulder which had been dislocated recently. Obviously highly knowledgeable in his area of expertise, I now have the tools to ensure the injury won’t happen again.
