Fitness First Castle Hill - Castle Towers reviews
68 Only come here to see my PT Alex!
He does an amazing job and has improved my strength and technique.
The gym has all the equipment we need which makes it a lot easier.
The gym is good, but the stuff are the worst, I tried to cancel my membership because I lost my job and I live so far away and I been paying for over a year for something that I haven’t use and I refused to keep pay and they going to report me when I tried to cancel so many times during a year This is absolutely horrible…!
Great atmosphere and facilities! Friendly staff and trainers.
Train here only with the best PT, Alex!
Yeah this is a grea FF club to visit, easy to find once your in the shopping centre, friendly and nice staff too
Good club but the playlist choice is trash. I don’t think anybody likes to train listening to Adele sorta thing.
Very unpleasant front counter sales staff. He's unaware of current marketing promotion. Instead of treating people with respect, acted very rude with no basic manner. I would put the experience as negative 100 for treating customer so badly.
Why don’t they send confirmation emails when I asked them a million times to send confirmation emails of suspension periods
Absolutely disrespectful to clients
Tee,
I was so happy with Tee he gave me so much advice, regardsing health too, how I need to follow classes take breaks, , I did not know we have solar in the fitness first, he showed me the area, my name is Osadi Gunasena, who is a member in Fitness first castle hills
It’s a nice gym. Have recently started at Castle hill, have been going to Hornsby for years. Enjoying the experience so far. Would love to see mirror wall to enjoy a better experience during workouts and it also does add to the look of the gym.
Front staff are to busy on their phones or talking to each other to scan my card, same staff members would sit on benches without towels and talk long periods of time while the paying public want to use benches or the equipment they are using while the staff engage like its a mothers meeting.
I stopped going to this gym due to poor front staff service.
The gym itself is fine, the staff however will pretend to do their job and care about your queries. Also be wary of making a membership, the price is your soul.
Fitness first Castle Hill is a very welcoming center with excellent customer service and quality group instructors.
Excellent customer service Tee at the reception has wonderful customer service and always there to help. All the instructors and staff are great.
The sales staff engage in much unethical conduct when it comes to signing up to the gym - applying high pressure techniques to push you to sign and providing insufficient time to read the contract. When I refused to sign the contract, the staff member got her manager to push me even further. I would suggest to stay far away from this gym.
Reading the below reviews, I shouldn’t have expected so much today from the staff.
Not relevant - but 10 years or so Platinum member here; but I’m sure you don’t care.
True - don’t expect any of the 4 staff on to greet or farewell you. Ok, maybe 1 day in 5 they will.a smile is rarer.
At 5pm today I wanted a quick bicep workout. It wasn’t to be!
I had been out all day and came straight to the gym knowing it was closing soon - no towels were left to pay for hire!
I was told several times to go home or K Mart for one. Given I see so many times trainers using 2 machines with a client and only one towel, I thought that maybe I would do what I always do and promise to wipe the ‘handle’ (I just wanted a cable) before and after (like I always do). Then again - the trainers don’t wipe them down either despite us being reminded constantly to do so. I always do. Oh - except when the wipes, paper towels, spray or hand sanitizer is empty. Which is often. Be prepared for that. Maybe I should bring wipes from home too?
As I got to a cable I was approached by a guy not in uniform. I realise now just before this I was looking at a lady on a machine sitting on it - WITH NO TOWEL!
I was condescendingly told that having no towel is like Breaking the speed limit. I said ‘no - one is law and punishable by fines; the other is an in-house policy’.
I was again told to go to K Mart.
I then said if I were running the place. I would buy 10 towels at a time from K Mart - they are cheaper ($2.50) than what FF charge to hire - so just let people keep them. There’s always 3-4 people on not doing much, so surely they can spare 10 minutes tops to do this? !? !
I pity the people that go tomorrow with no towel expecting to hire one! I bloody hope you also haven bought one of the PRE-paid ‘towel packs’! They get your money in advance.then they have no towels! Great system.
Having been spoken to like a bloody moron - I asked to cancel my membership. He won. Talking to people like they have a 12 year old mentality is a great way to piss people off. They push you to the point you can’t help but boil over. They then exclaim quite triumphantly “There it is! You now have to leave” (he was quite pleased with himself too) I recommend everyone in the service industry to do just that to your loyal customers! Great tactic indeed!
Of course they will still charge me for the next 28 days.that was the icing on the cake! I was lectured as I left (and yes, I think I told him where to go). All the way up the stairs about the contract that I have signed (they love to quote the contract too).
I’m starting to think their goal is to actually get rid of as many members as they can - so they can all stand around and hang out with each other without being interrupted.
Treat your members like monkeys guys - you’ll then make peanuts.
Bye FF.
Ps. It’s not me, it’s you!
Needs better cleaning and maintenance - equipment is getting old and dirty/dusty, carpets are old and look dirty, change rooms are always dirty. In a glitzy mall and expensive area I would expect better standards.
This is actually a good facility let down by being run by Fitness First.
(As a side note it’s funny to see 5 out of 5 star reviews written here by the staff.)
It’s dirty, poorly maintained and you would be lucky to get noticed by the staff. Some days the aircon doesn’t work or is turned off and it is hot and smells. The free weights area is crowded - could easily be moved. Broken equipment sits for weeks unrepaired.
The changing rooms vary between ok and kinda disgusting - torn upholstery, broken lockers, rubbish on floors and generally dirty.
People who go here are generally nice and considerate. As said it’s let down by the zero care factor of FF.
I have been training in this gym (Fitness First Castle Hill - Castle Towers) more than 10 years and it has been now run down. Unprofessional & unfriendly rude staff, poor hygiene, lack of cleanliness, dirty equipment accompanied with poor amenities, dirty change rooms with broken cupboards, unclean sauna area – overall it is a dirty place with poor amenities and I would not recommend to anyone. I agree with the comments in the review that it is a dirty place accompanied with rude and unwelcoming staffs. AVOID.
Really great gym, class instructors and staff. Nick at the front desk was particularly helpful with my membership. Classes are great however they tend to book out very quick because everyone loves them!
Castle Hill is not my home club however Claudia was amazing when helping me with my membership. Great facility to visit in a fantastic location!
