Worked with Family Home Designers and builders to extend our home (by adding a second storey) and create our dream home. Just completed our project and we could not be happier with the outcome. Throughout the process they kept us informed and updated. We had a great foreman and the use of a great online platform allowed us to have regular conversations and be on top of the work. We lived in the home whilst construction was happening and this was possible with the professionalism of the builders and any sub contractors they used. I would not hesitate to recommend them to anyone, honestly been a great experience.

We engaged Family Homes last year to help build a ground floor extension as well as a carport.

We truly enjoyed our renovation experience with Family Homes. Being first time renovators, we relied heavily on Family Homes to take us through the design, DA approval and building process. Throughout this process where unexpected issues arose – be it around dealing with council or the build, Roman and the team were willing and able to think out of the box to attend and rectify those issues, so the project can continue to move ahead. We were also impressed with their diligence around paperwork and in providing regular, comprehensive status updates. They also accommodated our staged approach to the build which was very helpful when budgets were uncertain. Family Homes is truly a one stop shop, providing a seamless experience from design to the final product.

We’ve been in this house for more than a year now and couldn’t be happier with the quality of the build. Special shout out to Roman, Kevin, Marie, Paul, Shane and Walter for a terrific experience. We won’t hesitate to use them again!

Family Home Designers & Builders replaced our balcony and pergola in Mosman. It was apparent from the first contact that we are dealing with highly professional people. They have a great transparent process in place. This supports their personal approach and makes them easy to do business with. The owner,  Roman Pazniewski met with us on site within 48 hours,   Roman listened to our needs, clarified and made suggestions, took measurements and gave us a high level indicative cost. Walked through the process, our rights etc before we signed the contract.   The work started and finished ahead of schedule.
Although this job is a relatively small job for what they normally do, they gave it the priority and attention as any large project and they cared about it as much as we do.   The quality of their work is outstanding, the team is professional, knowledgeable, friendly, caring, have high work ethics and proud of their work. The communication throughout the project was effective
The people are a cut above, when dealing with the Owner, the Business Manager and their team, the Construction Manager or any of their tradespeople we felt confident and they always delivered on their promise.

I had an exposed balcony on my third floor which needed a complete new roof in order to use it properly.

During my very first meeting with Roman, he advised me about the design, council procedures, cost and time needed to finish the new roof. And Paul, who was assigned to be my supervisor; he has kept me well informed about their daily schedules until the job was completely finished. Both Roman and Paul were very caring about my concerns through out the entire construction period. The job was finished nicely and timely as we have expected.

Professional teams and managements, I would definitely recommend to anyone who is looking to renovate their properties.

Our second story extensions and entertainment area decking was completed 3 years ago. From the first meeting, design, build to completion on time and budget we were and still are raving about the professionalism and attention to detail.

Now 7 years has passed, the quality of work has started to show. I have a carpenter in to attempt to fix some of the underlying problems that are now obvious. These include barge boards that have warped so much they need to be replaced, leaking roof that has actually dropped 2cm because it was poorly designed and built, cracks in plaster board and floor tiles that were poorly installed. Even the bathroom vanity started to come away from the wall and on investigation it was only attached by 4 small screws.totally inadequate. Many more small things that are just frustrating.

I needed a small renovation downstairs - a new wall, kitchenette, ceiling, flooring, and laundry, etc. Having done many renovations in the past, I was fearful. However, this company was significantly better in every way than any company I have ever dealt with (and I'm sceptical at the best of times). Their costs were transparent, they accommodated a number of changes mid-stream, they used an App to communicate everything, conducted weekly meetings with the foreman, the trades people were polite and clean and felt comfortable giving them our key. To top it all off, the job was done in half the time required! I have never posted a review for a builder, but I just had to this time. This organisation is trustworthy and I am pleased to highly recommend them.

When looking to perform a major renovation on our 23-year-old home, we were daunted by the huge task ahead of us. Of course, we had watched countless episodes of Grand Designs and The Block, so were mindful of how easy it was for budgets and timelines blow out.
We chose Family Homes as they had built our original home. It was sound and of good quality, so we knew their standard of work was high, and felt we could trust them. They were not the cheapest, but the end result has turned out even better than we could have imagined. The project ran smoothly, and there were always trades working away on our property whenever I turned up, which was regularly. Family Homes kept us in the loop at all times, even when we had to make a trip overseas, and even stepped in to coordinate some of our deliveries when we weren’t there. Our building supervisor was invaluable, and their carpenter could often be found working quite late and even on weekends, to ensure deadlines were met.
Often their trades would say to me, that they’d worked on our original home 23 years ago. Given the home has been so sound, it was good to know we had the same people working on it. It says a lot about Family Homes too, for having such a steadfast team.
We got back into our property on time, actually a little earlier than we thought possible. We would recommend Family Homes to anyone.

We found Family Home Designers and Builders to be very efficient in the job undertaken, to be reliable and communicative. In summary our building project under their management certainly met all our expectations. Would recommend.

We engaged Family Homes to re-design and build our outdated living, dining and kitchen area and we couldn’t be happier with Roman and his team. From the outset, the project was expertly designed by Karen who managed to somehow take all of our confusing ideas and suggestions and turn it into the perfect design for us. She came up with some great suggestions we hadn’t previously considered in order to maximise space and keep the flow of the house just as we wanted.
Paul was assigned as our project manager and we found him to be a very skilled builder with great attention to detail while his communication with us throughout the entire project was top notch. It’s clear that Family homes are very selective when it comes to the subcontractors they use as we found that each of them (tilers, plasterers, plumbers and electricians) produced a high standard of work and were equally professional.
Paul and his team worked towards a tight deadline of 3 months as we had hoped to be back in the house and settled prior to the arrival of our baby girl and the team achieved that with ease. Having been initially recommended Family Homes by a friend I wouldn’t hesitate to do the same in recommending them to anybody considering a renovation.
