I started treatment at Essential Health around 18 months ago. I had previously been diagnosed with Bipolar Disorder Type I, Generalized Anxiety Disorder, Post Traumatic Stress Disorder, Eating Disorder and Borderline Personality Disorder. Had been on 4 medications for 11 years to control the disorders. I’ve been receiving Chiropractic care for some years, (early 2000’s) and consider Gerald Vargas at Essential Health Chiropractic, Sydney’s best kept secret in aligning my Physical Health, with Mental Health & Posture Alignment. Also I have been out of state for some time, and put on some kilos. I have come back to visit Gerald and was apologetic for my some declined health and told him I understood it was totally my issue to lose weight.
Initial Prolonged consultation Gerald also investigated my Stress Levels could have been a contribution of my weight gain, and is assisting me to overcome stress levels with Physical and Mental challenges. (Sometimes he asks me to practice exercises and read-up on issues.)
I suppose you would consider a 5+ hour return trip per consultation over the top for some, but to me it’s my best kept secret. Shh! Just go visit Gerald and don’t tell anyone. (Baulkham Hills or Kellyville Offices.)
(I consider I am probably one of the luckiest people to maintain best health with some of the worst underlying medical health challenges.)

I am a father of a 16 year old autistic boy. Two years ago my son's conventional medication started to make him physically sick and no longer was helping him to suppress his behaviour.
(In his earlier life that medication was making him more like a zombie, but at least he was able to go to school with a hope that one day he will get better). Then my son tried other medications (different doses, different times etc.). But his behaviour was only getting worse.
My son's school staff could no longer handle him.
So two years ago my son ended up at Essential Health Chiropractic.
As a father I was only hoping for that my son can be cured to the level so he can go back to school and his school staff will manage him. Then Dr Gerald said that my son can be off medication (and good enough to go to school) within few weeks. Dr Gerald prepared a recovery program for my son. He did not try to suppress or cover my son's disorders but he tried to fully understand what was causing them. Then at different levels of my son's therapy he was implementing different methods.
My son was off medication within 4 weeks. And now two years later he
started a neurofeedback therapy (also with Essential Health Chiropractic) with very promising results. Two years ago I was wishing for my autistic son to be good enough to go back to school. Now it looks like that he has got a chance for recovery at least to a level that he will be independent when he grows up. It is hard to believe that two years ago it was impossible to handle my son on a trip to a local shopping center. Later this year we are going on a trip to Europe (my son is finally ready for).
