Elizabeth Farm reviews
69Interesting history. I used the iPad they provided as a tour guide. Very informative and worth visiting. Easily accessible by public transport. Very reasonable entrance fee ($12/adult). Nice coffee shop. We had lovely cappuccino, scones, jam & cream.
Really enjoyed our visit. The staff were very friendly and made us feel very welcome. The pumpkin and date scones were delicious with the Devonshire tea. I highly recommend a visit!
Cannot speak highly enough of the guides. Have actually been twice. After going with Mum we decided that we were happy to go back because my Dad would loveit. Guides were knowledgeable and enthusiastic. Included the kids in the group throughout thectour fantastically to also keep them entertained.
Spring Harvest festival was a great day out for little kids and delicious selection of food stalls. Not too busy, but parking was difficult.
A great family friendly historic site. The information and staff make for an interesting discovery of Australia's early history. Their annual Harvest Festival is also great fun, with workshops, food stalls, talks and more.
Elizabeth Farm is one of the 12 Museums included in the Sydney Living Museums. This is a hands on museum. Visitors can wander through the house & gardens touch the exhibits and experience what living in this colonial era home was like. Take the audio visual tour (iPad provided) & learn about the history of the house and John Macarthur the original owner.
A very pleasant surprise to find an amazing place like Elizabeth Farm. Staff were very friendly and welcoming.
A wonderful place that is rich in history. Alana was excellent in explaining the history and lives of those who lived there. I bought two books so thatI can read in detail at my leisure. A must see for who love history, plus Parramatta is a great visit in itself.
