In your privileged eloi life please do not mention 'segregation'. Deeply disrespectful to people of colour who actually know the meaning of it. Not entitled and sheltered people in active wear who refuse to listen to tenured scientists about protecting our most vulnerable citizens.

I've been going to Egg for 6 years now and have evolved, transformed and strengthened on all levels of being. They offer more than just yoga xxx

I absolutely love egg of the universe. If I could go everyday I would. I moved out of the area and miss this place soooooo much namaste️

Let me start off by saying I don't give bad reviews out willy nilly and I think that this place has the potential to be much much better but when you have a grandiose name like egg of the universe and use only premium natural ingredients i walked in with high expectations.
Unfortunately mine and my partners expectations weren't met and our experience was underwhelming.
The food we had was a highlight, the blat and the mushrooms with curd were both nice and yummy, at least 7/10 each
The low point were the drinks, the chai was flavourless milk and the turmeric latè was watery and bland
The decor and setting of this place is really groovy and cosy but the atmosphere and service was lacklustre and in the end fell short of it's obvious potential
Egg of the universe needs some cosmic fertilisation to infuse some more love and magic into it's yolky goodness

Seriously cool place. Huge open courtyard out the back that you can't see from the front door. Yummy food & friendly, attentive service. Prices aren't cheap but quality and portion size seems to compensate for it. Recommended

Cafe review: Nice venue and friendly staff.
But more expensive than other cafes in the area.
Expect menu items such as $12 smoothies, $20 simple egg and bacon on toast, $24 avocado and egg on toast etc.

A great Yoga studio like The Egg is one that can teach Yoga to all levels of students. If your brand new to Yoga don't freak out or feel that you're not good enough to go to a great studio. You'll progress significantly faster in a good studio without feeling the need to push or compare yourself. Not to mention others won't be judging you either.

It's places like the Egg that teach you that the poses are not to be judged or compared. You'll find significantly less egos in a place like the egg than you will at a gym Yoga studio. That'll help make you feel comfortable at what ever level you're at.

If you're wanting to learn more and grow your Yoga practice, the instructors focus on the philosophy and incorporate it into your practice equally to correcting and explaining small changes to each Asana. There's some chanting and music if you're lucky. You'll learn some cool new Asanas if you're wanting to develop your strength. The meditation aspect of Yoga is certainly not forgotten here. Something that is hard to find in a lot of studios.

It's nice to find a place that prioritises the philosophy over the Asanas.

Best food and drinks. Kind and caring staff, they have become my friends now.
Yoga is also devine exercise at Egg!
There are plenty of car park in the back streets. I recommend this place to everyone who want something healthy, colorful and reasonably priced.

Ayurvedic elements are gently introduced in some of the dishes here, though look out for some incompatibility, overall the Vata Kitcheri has been quite a hit. Food is served in the back, and the chef has been very kind and absolutely passionate in preparing her dishes

Egg is oasis in the normal busyness of inner city life and an escape from the craziness of COVID. The garden is shaded with a beautiful elm tree.

The food is delicious and nourishing. I come here all the time and am never disappointed. You can feel the love and care that Harry and Briony have put into creating the food, the vibe and the yoga.

Svenja is meticulous in following the health department's advice about table settings, space and sanitising. I feel safe here.

Always delicious food and lovely service! Eating in the cozy court yard is an added bonus and makes the food taste even better

The food is nice (not too many options for real breakfast, food tastes good).
Almond latte is aweful, tasted really bad.

And in this pandemic situation, if you want to have water, you have to use the tap which is touched by ALL clients without asking washing ir sanitising hands! Furthermore, they dont have numbered table, but a glass with the number of your order.you have to touch the glass that wasnt sanitised before/after the previous client who had the same nr. Are you really sure that you act Covid-safe? !

So disappointing & a rip off. The 'inspirational' salad my Mum ordered was missing half the ingredients with no explanation nor alternatives offered. Took 20 minutes for them to bring me 4 beans in a small bowl to add to the bowl of funny tasting lettuce on my plate. Also the cups were dirty & I had to ask for new ones. Went there due to the 'whole foods' 'we cater to everyone' advertising as Mum is a vegan but it was possibly the worse experience I've had at a 'whole foods' cafe in Sydney. Mum isn't very well so any outing is rare & I have to put a lot of planning into it. Had the manager reacted quickly and tried to accomodate us properly I wouldn't bothered to leave this review but the service wasn't great either.

I am so impressed with this cafe - I have only visited the one in Eveleigh. This is why I keep returning to this place:
Staff: The barista Jack and Kurt and all the other staff are so kind, caring and genuine. You don't feel like a number but an actual friend. They want you to enjoy your time in the cafe and there is no pressure at all.just good vibes.
Food quality: This place has great food and I feel fantastic after eating here. It's a health reset. The staff educate me about the benefits too without overselling.
Yoga: I am a beginner and I am about to start a class soon with them.
Owner: I have seen the owner a few times and all I hear from the staff is about how kind and lovely the owners are. That is a huge compliment and I want to be a customer of someone that takes care of their staff like that.

Last week I attended the egg of the universe and asked for a bottle of water, I paid for the bottle of water which was $5 expecting a large bottle, she picks up a glass bottle walks to the back of the store and fills the bottle with tap water. In the future you should tell your customers the water is coming from a tap, and not actual bottled water, to make it worse the bottle stunk like rotten fruit.
Won’t be coming back here.

This is a unique place where you can nourish both the body and soul.
Yoga studio with lots of various different kind of activity and healthy food joint serving good looking and tasty food.
Situated in the Rozelle suburb, it is a must-visit place when you got the chance.

Unfortunately we’ve noticed the Egg’s service declining over time. Today for the second time in as many visits the buckwheat pancake had run out. We ordered the granola instead, plus 2 x BLAT’s. 45 minutes later and after a couple of requests for the staff to follow up, one of the BLAT’s finally came out. Old mate was doing his best to reassure us that remainder of our meals were 2-5 minutes away, but I could tell he was frustrated having to repeatedly get the kitchen staff to check the order ticket. Both his body language and that of the cook said it all, the kitchen staff clearly missed the second BLAT order in addition to the granola. It’s not enjoyable when someone is forced to start their meal before it gets cold when others are waiting. So yeah just a another disappointing experience, even if the staff had the ability to offer some complimentary coffees or kombucha during such extended periods of wait / stuff ups, this would have been a nice gesture if offered. Anyhow we’ll give the Egg a break and try some other options around Rozelle.

Totally over priced, and the food was too oily.
I ordered one meal of bacon, eggs avocado and 1 coffee and the bill was $30! Are u kidding me?
Left with a greasy feeling in my mouth and being ripped off. Will never come back!

Paid $5.20 for a small almond cappuccino and it tasted awful. Not sure what kind of almond milk they use here but it doesn't complement the coffee flavour at all.

A truly fantastic neighborhood spot! How lucky is Rozelle:)

First- the cafe- wholesome, delicious food and efficient and delightful staff. Gorgeous outdoor area too to enjoy and such a wonderful ambience throughout.

Yoga studio- incredibly welcoming Leanne at the front desk- much appreciated for a new yogi like me. Not intimidating whatsoever- and lots of variety with classes and times.

Such a well conceived, multipurpose location.
Highly recommended!
