I've been visiting Eastern Therapies for acupuncture for two years now and I've consistently had great results for a variety of issues over that time. Both Dr Houng Lau and Dr Naoki Ota are calm, attentive and insightful practitioners and I highly recommend them. The location is also ideal with plenty of parking around!

My period pain was terrible every time till I met NAOKI. He gave me right acupuncture treatment then my period pain and irregular period stopped. Thank you NAOKI. You rescued my health issues.

I am very happy to recommend Houng Lau. I have been seeing Houng for many years, mainly for acupuncture to help manage my endometriosis and adenomyosis along with relief from the occasional bout of neck or back pain. I value her calm demeanour, positive outlook and deep well of knowledge.

I am very underwhelmed with my experience here. I have had acupuncture my whole life back in my home town with two different practitioners with great results.
Today I had an appointment which I paid $168 for the initial (fair enough) - however there was no initial appointment. I filled out a pre-appointment questionnaire but during my appointment almost none of this information was raised and I was simply asked a couple of basic questions regarding sleep pattern and anxiety. The questioning phase section of the appointment lasted for appox. 3-4 minutes. (I promise I'm not exaggerating) I understand each practitioner has their own methods but this was not $168 worth of consultation.
I presented with hope and I left feeling deflated and ripped off.
There was no warmth or empathy from the practitioner, for me I felt unseen and unheard. From the time I entered the clinic doors till the time I left the clinic was 40 minutes - where every other Initial consult for acupuncture and TCM the surrounding clinics is 1hr - 90 mins.

John who was the practitioner who I didn't book in with yet who was apart of my treatment was simply very sweet, he was explaining what he was doing with me in the treatment which helped me settle down my inner confusion and disappointment.

I really hope this practice appreciate that $168 is a lot of money for some people and I viewed this as an investment into my health.
I wish them the best in their practice and hope from now on they are consciously present with their clients.

I went in after 3 weeks of pain, discomfort and compromised movement from my psoas/hip flexor muscle and left feeling so much better, thank you, thank you!

I went here for three consecutive days for laser accupuncture for smoking cessation a couple of years ago. I was kept waiting on all these days and for no good reason as this was early morning and there was no one around except for the guy on reception.
The person I saw the first day was female, very good and definitely knew what she was doing. The next two days I saw two different men who kept referring to notes to see which areas to work on for what they had to do. They obviously were not familiar with what they were supposed to do and I felt like a test subject. Thankfully they were not surgeons or I would have been in trouble.
People I have spoken to who have been there have all said they would rather see the same therapist every time they go and not a different face every time as it is not relaxing and it has put them off returning.
After being a smoker for 35 years the treatment worked after the first day so travelling 2 hours each way for the next 2 days was a waste of time. There are other places offering exactly the same treatment for less money, but they are more in depth and you are treated by qualified PHD's. If I had known about them then, I would have gone there. I would not recommend this place as it is totally disorganised and the staff seems to change all the time. I have never met the owner, which is probably just as well. Not a good reflection on the business at all.

I love my experience every time I go to Eastern Therapies. Houng came so highly recommended and yet she surpassed expectation. Her knowledge and care for patients is wonderful. I feels like a lot more gets 'looked after' than just the problem I go in with.

My wife went to them for getting treatment for stress and anxiety. They charged $160 for first visit.
After she came back, she was hopping a very fresh and soothing effect but that gone totally horrifying.
She lost her sleep, she couldn’t sleep for 4 nights. She was spending nights like owl
Which turns her grumpy and moody.
Off course if a person didn’t sleep for 4 days what you expect her to response.
Mind you, before the session she was having very good sleep pattern.
We contacted the clinic and they ask her to come to clinic as soon as possible with no charges.
In that sitting they said don’t worry we will reverse the process, and thankfully that reverse process succeeded.

But that first experience frightened me and my wife.
What if Third sitting again gift us some new health problem?

I had a terrible experience here. I found after the acupuncture session finished that several needles had been left in and not removed. I really didn't like the manner of the therapist. I've had much better experiences of acupuncture treatment elsewhere.

I would happily recommend Eastern Therapies to anyone who seeks the help of an acupuncturist. They are supportive and helpful.

I visited Eastern therapies for acupuncture to help with bringing on my pregnancy labour as I was over due. And didn’t want to be induced. Every one was amazing. Highly recommend them next time I would start with them earlier.
